La Grande POE (Weigh Station)

The weigh station is open 24 hours however, the office is self is not open at all times. Having the scales open 24 hours is useful when traveling through with a trailer or other cargo load to just stop in and get a quick weigh. This weigh station is only available and accessible when traveling eastbound. There is no access to it from westbound Lanes. At night the station is a well-lit and there is room if needed to pull over and make an emergency rest stop out of it. It is not infrequent to see a tractor trailer park there night catching a little shut-eye.

This place is tough on drivers. But cant be mad at the officers they are doing their jobs 😰 .

Well safe to say 3 sets of snow chains are required by state of Oregon fines are $440.00 no warnings flying Js has chains at $220.00 for 1 set. Also I will never ever evereverever return to Oregon I refuse to bring any freight here again it doesn't pay enough and you are guaranteed to leave with cheap freight an bad mpg. Thanks Oregon you won't make one brown cent from me again!!!

Hi gave me a ticket for 440$ because i said i only got 2 pair of snow chains (MAYBE I GOT 6 OR NONE) NOT EVEN CHECKED FN DUDE HIS SAID TRUSTS FOR ME I DONT NEED MERCY FROM YOU, and another ticket for 440$ for I don’t had permit driving through Oregon - YOU KNOW WHAT IM NOT SNEAKING OR SMART TRYNA SAVE MONEY FOR THAT - I WAS NOT INFORMED FOR THAT FIRST TIME THERE!! EVERYDAY IM READING WATCHING ANY INFORMATION FOR NOT GIVING MY HARDWORKED MONEY!
