I didn't plan on opening an account here. It was a happy accident! 😊 I was trying to cash a check for a stolen money order that my usual places wouldn't cash. I don't know if it was because it was a Western Union check or because Wells Fargo Bank (the bank Western Union goes through) is out of Detroit, MI. Anyway, I love this bank because I could take my Direct Express card to the ATM and draw out money without paying a fee or go right to a teller and get my money off of my card. They also have a totally free checking account. So when I took in that damned check and they (too) would not cash it, I just went ahead and opened that checking account that I should have done 7 years ago. It was the best thing that I could have done for myself. Carol (at the Navarre branch) helped me open it and set up all my online banking services and basically did a whole bunch of stuff that I should have done, but I hadn't held any type of bank account since I was in my early 20's and now I'm pushing 50. 😱 They ARE very helpful and friendly there and in Carol's case... Patient and tolerant. They are a great bank even if you don't bank with them.

There's a rather strange situation with Citizens. You can't go to the in-store location and get help with your credit cards.

Just Lil things when u sign in you need read all stuff and make sure it's right cause checks on business don't get put in till 3 days later so just read listen 100 if u open a new account

I have had accounts with Citizens Bank for almost 15 years (even when it was Charter One) and until this past summer I had no issues with any of the branches I went to. I made the mistake of pulling money from the ATM at the Navarre Ave location and ended up with a $20 bill that was missing an inch off one end. I immediately went inside to make them aware of this issue for a replacement. They not only denied everything but treated me like I was trying to con them. I then asked who to contact or what to do with it and they send it through the mail to somewhere. First of all the USPS does not permit cash to be sent through the mail and second they didn't even know where I should "mail" a $20 bill to. The teller and manager were rude, arrogant, and condescending throughout the matter despite their utter lack of knowledge on how to handle a bill with one end missing. It was clear to me they deliberately loaded this bill into their ATM and were determined to stick someone with a bill they couldn't spend. I feel Citizens Bank needs to do a better job with hiring and training their employees--at least at this branch anyway. I should have taken down names and wrote a letter to corporate headquarters but oh well. I will never set foot in this branch or on it ever again and am in the process of phasing out my checking and other accounts. I've found that Genoa Bank and the local credit unions are not only better people but their services are more competitive. The wheels have definitely fallen off since their "transition" to Citizens Bank.

One of the worst branches around literally went into this bank they had 3 + employees working when into cash my work check and the lady told me there is a 15-minute wait when all three of them were just standing around I just don't understand what was the weight and also the bank teller was very rude lady it seems like the only branch that is very nice and friendly people is the branch off airport highway and also Perrysburg and Maumee them once I have no problem very well customer service bank tellers... The upper management needs to look into these businesses very slow service very rude employees people who shouldn't be working there are working there just my point of view. If there was a zero Stars I would rate this zero

i have to pay a car payment here, and i regret getting this whole car because of this stupid bank. i’ve been trying to set up an online account since MARCH. all the app does is kick me off the second i finally get on, so it forced to walk in monthly to pay for my car. which makes paying it off even longer.
