This place is amazing! I love the old timey diner style restaurant design inside. Much less, the food is made to order, and it is quick and hot! The burgers are almost like smash patties, but they are immaculate. Fries are spectacular, you can tell their homemade. In addition, the dessert is also great. The apple pies, ice cream, milk shakes, and the list goes on. This is an awesome establishment with a southern hospitality atmosphere. Gotta check this place out when ya head to Monticello!

I'm new to the area and the name of the food joint caught my eye. So ofcourse my mom and I grabbed lunch here during my lunch break. Let me tell you what! I'd take a homemade old fashioned burger over the fast food "burgers" any day. AND I spent less for my lunch here than I would ever at a fast food joint. For both my mom and myself a burger, two orders of fries and an order of coleslaw and our drinks it was 20$ and they tasted jam up. Highly recommend. The staff is so jovial and bubbly, the open atmosphere from the huge windows and spaces seating is definitely admirable.

Had the fish plate,it was great , coleslaw was some of the best I have eaten, fish was really good and a good amount of it too,took half of it home, fries were salted just right and tasty. Great sweet tea too. Really enjoyed it!!

On my trip to Arkansas, I visited this establishment!

Not only was the food good, but the customer service was so amazing!
The floors were clean!
I ate there every day of my visit!
I ordered the double cheeseburger and added chili and slaw! It melted in my mouth!
The fries were hot and well-seasoned!
But the fried pies, Apple, peach, chocolate and cheesecake were so good!
My favorite is the fried cheesecake pie!
If you are ever in Monticello Ar, this is the place to eat!

Always a must stop in Monticello! Food, service, and experience is always great! Get the Sirloin Po Boy…thank me later!

I used to frequent this place back in high school in the 70s. While in town, I got hamburgers and fries for mom, pop, and myself. Just like homemade and tasted oh so good. I always look forward to eating either a burger or catfish from Ray's when I return to town. 😋😋😋

Great food and very quick service. Nice cashiers! Huge portion sizes for the price. Family favorite for years. Love the cheeseburgers and catfish.

I had a friendly encounter with the girl taking my order. She was sweet and polite to help me out here on my first time. She kindly guided me throughout the menu. I was pleased to hear the menu perfectly from memory. I was sold on the double dinner meal with eight pieces of fish, 2 sides, hush puppies. For my 2 sides I ordered baked beans with pulled pork. My mouth waters recalling what I had, and Cajun style fries. I had drinks in the car so I passed up on that. However my total came out to 12.97 that was really surprising to see how affordable it was. Especially after having picked the biggest option in quantity. I enjoyed my scrumptious catfish. It had a crispy texture on the outside and soft tender inside. I tried tartar sauce for the first time because it came with it. Not a fan, but I’m not going to judge them based on my taste. The fries were crispy and fried to perfection. My hush puppies were yummy. Baked beans with pulled pork were so hearty and delicious. 10/10 would definitely be back.

Ordered the chopped BBQ pork sandwich, baked potato salad, baked beans special and cheesecake fried pie. Everything was delicious. I was a bit disappointed in the proportion of bbq I got and had to eat about 1/3 of the fried pie to bite into filling though. BBQ didn't have enough kick for me but was still tasty. I will go back to try other items when I pass through again.

I visited Ray's for the first time in over 30 years a few weeks ago and it was just as good as I remembered. Everything tastes like a backyard BBQ, I just wish it was a lot closer to where I currently live. Don't forget to save room fof a fried pie or get a few to take home for later!!!

We were visiting from out of state and stopped in the eat. My husband absolutely loved the fried fish. In fact, he said he’d make the trip back just to have the fish again!

Asked several locals where to eat and BOOM! This is the spot been here for decades and this place was authentic I cant explain it other than to say you could tell from the outside this place had it. I had the Bbq sandwich with potatoe salad and baked beans. OMG awesomesauce.. now I am broken hearted 600 miles to home and i will have to make my way back someday too good not to share and scream it. Thanks!
