Stars and Stripes has a wonderful staff and it’s an amazing facility! The coaches kids and parents are all waonderful. And they most definitely have makeup classes at all time. They have had undefeated seasons and many undefeated state champs!!!

I would warn any parent to stay away from this facility. My daughter started last fall on level 3 her coach was a young girl named Avery that did nothing but pick favorites and verbally beat the girls down. I have never seen anything like what I witnessed at Stars and Stripes in my life. The owner Chas has no business running a business the place is a free for all. Girls running everywhere and young girls as “ coaches” that need coached their selfs on respect and how to properly interact with a child. I could go on and on about this facility but bottom line is no one wants to send their child somewhere where they are scared of their coach and my daughter very much was (she’s not the only child that feels this way about Avery) I tried talking to Chas about the problem multiple times and he literally did nothing but defend the disrespectful little girl/coach and told me “she was the best he had” if you do choose to take your child here do not leave them sit in on a few lessons and you will see the disfunction for yourself.

this is such a low class place not worth 70 bucks a month to only go 1 class a week and my grandbaby sat on the floor for 20 min while the instructor Which was a teen age girl way to young to be over 3 and 4 yr old had no control it was horrible waist of money. toddlers in the pit, and bigger kids flipping into the pit. with no supervision. my granbaby got hit and know one even seen it. it is so unorganized. not worth paying for. but I guess this is what u get in a small town

It’s very bad business of Stars and Stripes to put the onus on the customer for knowing of their unexpected closures, ridicule customers for not using Facebook, neglect to notify of closures, and not offer make up classes. It’s poorly run and I wish we wouldn’t have wasted hundreds of dollars on a handful of classes. Total waste of time and money. Details: For the second time we showed up and they were closed without notifying anyone. Not a text, no phone call. Show up and they are closed. Not even a sign on the door, no answer on their phone. On their doorstep and it’s all locked up. Several other customers showing up and also wasting their time bringing kids to a closed school. Waste of time/gas/money and very sad to watch the disappointment in our child when we have to turn around and go home! Screaming and crying “noooo gymnastics! Please mommy!” All the way home. Not worth $65 a month for a 45 minute class when so many classes have been missed (due to their issues, we came as scheduled) and NO make ups offered!! So, I was called back regarding my voicemail I left during their last unexpected closure with excuses and told to “check Facebook”. They are not sorry or even concerned, more like reprimanding me for not having Facebook. They had a water issue the night before and knew they would be closed the next day, but no time to call or text and notify their paying customers. Really? Like 20 hrs later and no time to make phone calls. I’m supposed to go log in to Facebook (which we don’t use) EVERY DAY and check to see if I should bring my child to her scheduled class. Further frustration, they closed for the holidays and we lost two weeks of classes at full price with no offer to make them up. When we returned to the class, none of the other kids had shown up, and we were informed class wasn’t going to happen! To GO HOME. That we can “try the Thursday class instead” (yeah no problem I’ll just shift my whole schedule to accommodate you). 3 weeks missed. Ridiculous! So inappropriate that they turned us away when we were already there for class, which I paid for! Try explaining this to a 2 year old that wanted to do gymnastics, and we were already in the lobby, wearing the leotard. The co-owner, Heather, did not appear to care at all. It was as if I had interrupted her, asking why my child’s class hadn’t started. I listened to crying “nooooo gymnastics” from the moment We walked out the door all the way home. And all through dinner. Really disappointing all around, not to mention having to have to pay for the full month when the school was closed and we didn’t have Monday class for 2 weeks, then when we come back class is cancelled without notice (3 weeks missed, their fault, at full price, no makeups) and I’m left with a crying child. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT enroll in this school. Also, the mats are filthy/tattered, and their floor is covered in dirt/dust. A simple vacuum could help that, but clearly Stars and Stripes only cares about money. We have now switched to independence gymnastics right down the street, where make up classes are offered, they vacuum/clean their equipment, and they will call or text when an unexpected closure occurs.
