El Palenque Mexican Restaurant

We didn’t get the waiters name, but he was so friendly. Talked to us, wished us a Merry Christmas, and didn’t write down our order or drinks, but brought exactly what we ordered. We didn’t get before pictures, but the food was amazing.

It was the first time we went here. We were in town for the lights festival and stopped here for dinner. We chose this place because they had a vegetarian menu for my wife and daughter. The place was almost empty but damn the food was good. It wasn’t a real large portion but it did fill you up. The chips were nice a warm too! The only problem was the waitress went to refill my soda and my sons water but forgot to bring back my sons water😂. The price was very reasonable $30 for the 4 of us.

The food was tasty--that's what really counts. I had the Tamales El Palenque. The service was good. Reasonable prices, too. The atmosphere is typical of strip mall restaurants with soccer on TV. And being in a strip mall somewhat hidden behind other businesses, it can be difficult to spot. But overall, it is worth finding.

It's a nice little restaurant it's tucked back out of the way hard to find but if you find it it's really good food at a really good price and I think that the waitresses and the waiters there are really good and really nice it's definitely somewhere I like to eat

Best mexican restaurant in Batesville. Friendly employees who remember faces, fast service time, and the freshest food. It's a hidden gem in town with a cozy atmosphere.

The food was delicious. Yea wish I could remember what I had was called. It had chicken, shrimp, peppers, onions, and tomatoes. All cooked together with a yummy cheese sauce. It was amazing. I do wish the bathroom would have been better. The cement floor is black and looks dirty but overall it was a delicious meal

Of all the Mexican restaurants in Batesville, this is by far my favorite. The food is always appetizing, the prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly. I recommend El Palenque if you are looking for a delicious meal in Batesville with fast and friendly service. You won’t be disappointed.

Cave City is lucky to have this restaurant. I tried the seafood nachos. Really good and huge portion. Service is always great.

The food is excellent. The wait staff is friendly and they do their jobs well. I love this place.

The chile relleno dinner is massive so I definitely recommend preparing for a full stomach. It was very tasty and I look forward to trying more dishes there. What sold me most however, was the absolute delight that was the people who worked there. They were warm and kind so if you ever need to find that local spot to frequent this would be it. The food delicious and the smiles all the more welcoming!

The food in this restaurant is the best value for the money in town, and even if it wasn't they have excellent staff, are very quick, and more convenient than other restaurants in town.

I love this restaurant! Everyone is so nice and the food is awesome. Best loaded nachos have to try them. Took half home because I couldn't eat it all.

Great people cooking & serving great food. The woman who greeted us at our table & took our meal choices, was so very nice & attentive. We wanted for nothing, because somehow she just knew all along the way, if we needed or wanted anything else. I brought my remaining food home, and had what I call a bonus meal. Their food is some of the very best Mexican food I've ever had the pleasure of indulging in. I will be enjoying it again, soon!

Fast service, good food and fun atmosphere. Staff are friendly and quick to get you food. My drink was never empty and their burritos rock.
