The Mean Pig BBQ

It’s hard for me to overstate how much I absolutely love The Mean Pig BBQ. Their Smoked Frito Pie is my favorite meal…as in favorite thing to eat on the planet. I love it. Each time we eat here my wife makes me ask what cobbler they have. Regardless of what it is, if it isn’t already sold out, we’re ordering it too.

Buddy and his staff are wonderful people that do a fantastic job running their small business. They quietly also do so much for our community.

Do yourself a favor and eat at The Mean Pig BBQ, and don’t be surprised when it becomes a weekly occurrence!

I first visited this restaurant with my family. I went there at 7pm but it wasn't crowded on that day. There is a pork bench in front of the store, and there are a few tables and chairs that can be eaten outside. It felt warm to eat outside in the warm season. Enter the shop and there is a counter on the left side. There is a menu at the top. I ordered a rib this day. You can also choose the side menu, I ordered the beans. The rib ordered spicy taste and the rib sauce was sweet. This combination is very delicious. The beans have a solid bean shape, so you can enjoy the texture and flavor. Unfortunately, the ribs were cold, so I wanted to eat freshly baked.

But people are very friendly and helpful!

私は初めて家族とこのレストランに訪れた。夕方7時に行ったがこの日は混んでいなかった。お店の前には豚のベンチがあったり、外で食べられるようにテーブルと椅子も少しだけ置いてある。それは暖か季節に外で食べると良いと感じた。お店の中に入り、左手側にカウンターがある。上部にメニューがある。私はこの日はリブを注文した。サイドメニューも選ぶことができ、私はビーンズを注文。リブはspicyな味をオーダーし、リブ用のソースはsweetを選んだ。この組み合わせは非常に美味しい。ビーンズは豆の形がしっかり残っているので食感と風味良く味わうことが出来る。リブは残念ながら冷めていたので、私は焼き立てを食べたかった。

I have never been disappointed by this restaurant, ever in 15+ years! The Jalapeño Smoked Sausage & Pulled Pork are my favorites and their sides are so so good! BBQ baked beans & the turnip greens were AMAZING! Love this place!!

I’ve loved mean pig ever since they have started! They had a small business that out grew the smoker they first had. Now with the same great taste they have grown into an awesome establishment! I live about an hour away and I always try to stop by for their awesome sauce. I stick with the hot 🥵 bbq!

After viewing the Cabot Sign War, we had to check it out! Amazing food!! Pulled pork sandwiches are great!! Sauce is on point, the meat is tender and smokey!! Great service as well!! The inside layout is great, and love the ducks unlimited!! We're going to try the ribs next run around!!

Kain was a true superstar. I love to see young people with a great work ethic. It gives me hope for the future.

I work right down the road and always love going to Mean pig. They are always supper nice and have smiles on their faces. The smoked queso is my favorite!

This is one of the best BBQ places in the state. Not only do they have excellent food, but their staff is always so friendly and helpful. It's definitely worth the drive to Cabot every time!

The food is great and the people who serve it are so nice! My family loves the Mean Pig (or as my daughter calls it the angry swine, LOL). Either way its great restaurant and if you haven't tried it you're missing out!

My family and I have visited here many times through the years. This is hands down my favorite BBQ restaurant. They are family oriented and provide quality food at a fair price. The brisket is what I reccomend!

This is my favorite restaurant ever. You truly can not get anything better then this. Best BBQ hands down! The sauce is top notch! You just can’t beat it!

Get there for lunch if you want ribs or brisket they sell fast. Great food and reasonable prices.

Have always had the best bbq in town. Fast and friendly service. Don’t even bother trying other bbq places anymore. This is the best.

My family and I love the mean pig bbq. Wether we are home or traveling then make our way back home to Ward - mean pig is our go to bbq place. Thank you for always doing your best to take care of our bbq needs.

We used to live here, and we ate at the Mean Pig often. We were visiting and couldn't miss it. My wife and I always get the Smoked Frito Pie with medium sauce and everything on top. I meant to take a picture right away, but it was so good I couldn't get out my camera until we were both halfway done with our meals. The owner is genuinely friendly and always recognizes us when we come in. Sadly we might not get back this way for awhile, but we took a quart of medium sauce with us!

Stopped in while waiting for tires down at Kirks tire service, they recommended and we were not disappointed, we ordered the sampler platters and the hot sauce.. perfect heat and sweet balance. All was good and we got the to go boxes since we new we would have left overs, only wish we had more ribs so we could've taken some home.

Excellent! Only had the ribs through takeout. Taste great, highly recommended.
