Went to an archaeological presentation here and had a little chance to go through the museum. Staff were really friendly and gentlemen who are doing the presentations work very nice and informative. Looking forward to going back and spending more time taking the exhibits.

I came here to see the 4014 Big Boy Steam Engine! The Nevada County Museum is awesome ! Worth going to see.

Yesterday the steam locomotive was coming into the depot. Judy Duke, who runs the depot, was there working this event. Several out of towners had several great things to say about Mrs Duke. I personally thank her for the outstanding job she does every day.

The history of the railroad and the role it played in Prescott/Nevada County founding and development is really interesting. The museum curator is really sweet!
