Front desk person was friendly and helpful! Dr Nelson took time to get to know me on my 1st visit. The exam was thorough and not rushed.

My experience with Dr. Nelson, Hygienist Jenny and Office Manager, Wendy is they are fully experienced and competent in the jobs they hold. Whenever I leave this office, I feel they all have my best interest at heart. Thank you all!

I believe this was my 4th visit here. I had my teeth cleaned, x-rays, and an exam. And a fluoride treatment to top it off. They're friendly and take good care of you. I recommend them completely. :)

Friendly pain free dentist. Dr. Nelson and his staff treat you like an old friend. Non invasive pain free cleaning. Dr. Jim is an excellent dentist. Recently relocated to McMinnville and found it challenging to find a Dentist that was accepting new patients as well as my insurance. Found Dr. Nelson and couldn’t be more satisfied. From first contact with the staff at the front desk, to meeting with Dr. Nelson, to having my teeth cleaned by the hygienist, the whole office exudes professionalism. After x-rays and examination, Dr. Nelson’s explanations were thorough, practical and easy to understand. He spent considerably more time with me than previous dentists. I’m very satisfied to the point where my wife has cancelled her appointments with another office and moved her care to Dr. Nelson as well.

My husband had a cleaning appt a few days ago. He has Alzheimer’s and we had a hard time getting him to sit down in the chair. The hygienist and I tried for about 15 mins. to get him to sit which we finally did. She was just wonderful! She was patient and kind. I appreciated all her help but esp. her patience. I have always been very impressed with the kindness of the entire staff at Dr. Nelson’s dental practice!

My cleaning was done as gently as I ever had it done. It didn’t take that long either. Dr.Nelson came in at the end and took a look at the e rays and gave me a thumbs up on my teeth. It was a pleasant experience I highly recommend to others who want a pain-free cleaning done.

Going to the dentist is no fun but Dr. Nelson and his staff are so warm and welcoming. Wendy, the front office administrator, is so helpful, informative and friendly, you feel well cared for. I highly recommend this place for your general dental care.

I have a long standing fear of dental work and basic distrust of dentists in general (sorry any of you who have had to work on me). But I think this is as close to stress free as I've ever been. Dr. Nelson & staff explained every step, gave me lots of 'outs' in case something hurt or I needed to stop. I can't say enough good about this place and this dentist.

I was welcomed as a person before being treated as a patient. The doctor and each staff person was friendly and calm. Dr Nelson explained every step and procedure to me no matter how mundane it was. I felt respected. After all it is my mouth they are examining. I will come back.

Dr. Nelson is a very good Dentist. He is honest and open about what is the best option for a tooth that needs some work. He always makes sure you are as comfortable as possible during the procedure. He always makes sure I know ahead of time what the cost will be. We are pleased with his care.

Me and my wife called around to several dentists and could not get in immediately. They scheduled both of us inside of a week for me and 10 days for my wife. Dr. Nelson and Wendy were very personable people and I had a very positive experience. I’m thankful that they’re here in our community.

Usually don't write reviews but in this case concerning James Nelson DDS I am more then compelled to. First let me start off with his staff. Wendy, also James' wife, is extremely personable and over the top helpful with not only billing info but everything else. She answers questions you don't even ask. Carol, James' assistant, she and I got along so well it was like we've known each other for years. Not only makes you feel at ease but we were laughing and enjoying each other's personalities. Now we come we come to James. Takes the time to listen to your questions at the same time making you feel so comfortable in the chair. Gave me solutions to my dental issues without in any way pushing me in any direction at all. The icing on the cake was when he said if I have any questions at all after getting home not to hesitate to call and he would make time for us to sit down again to answer those questions without it in any way being a consultation appointment with a charge. He not only is a professional in his business but truly does have the health and well being of his patients first and foremost. I would and do recommend James to anyone looking for a compassionate dentist in their future.

My last visit to Dr. Nelson's office was just as pleasant as the last 10 visits. Always a pleasure to go there. The people in the front office, very sweet and helpful. The people in the back office also friendly and personable. Dr. Nelson is a great dentist and I would highly recommend him to all my friends and family. I’ve loved my experiences here. I personally hate going to the dentist, it gives me such anxiety that I hadn’t been in for over three years and only tried this location because of my husbands recommendation. Everyone is so kind and patient, this was the first cleaning I’ve ever had that wasn’t at all painful. I have an appointment coming up to fill two cavities and I’m honestly not at all anxious about going, that’s a pretty big deal for me.
