Compton's Double Falls

This is a bushwack. No maintained trail. You will have to maneuver steep terrain, loose gravel, and downed trees. It's maybe a couple miles from the road. Not a hike for children or the elderly. Their isn't really parking because it's a an official trail. It can either be accessed from the road or off the trail from Whitaker's Point. It is very beautiful and peaceful. To see a double fall you probably have to go after a good spring rain. I went on Monday morning and didn't run into another person.

It’s amazing! The water is extremely blue. Easy trail but a little confusing. It’s super worth it.

Beautiful hike about 2hrs up and back. Very easy to get lost. We went to hike on beautiful Saturday and did not come across anyone on the hike. To get to the lake, Keep on the trail for about 10 more mins, once u reach the top of the fall.

Don’t give up! This is a must see. Trailhead is 7.1 miles off of highway 21. If you have Tim Ernst’s book follow his instructions on this one. Couldn’t find a way down to the base of the falls but still got beautiful shots.

Beautiful waterfall when there is good amount of water. The base of the falls is really green and the tree canopy just adds to the charm of the place. It's a bushwhack for most of the hike and there are some steep dropoffs, so I'd suggest someone with decent hiking experience for this one. Amber falls is just a small deviation and is very pretty too. The best time to visit this waterfall could be during fall season and just after a strong rain. There is no dedicated parking space and just before the trailhead, there is just enough space to hold about 3 vehicles.

Amazing , rugged area to view waterfalls. Be prepared to climb and get wet.

Down a really rough dirt road, only found this marker for beginning at road for hike. Lots of waterfalls in the area to explore.
