White House Cafe

This is definitely a must-see if you're passing through. According to our server, it's the oldest continuously running restaurant in the entire state. It definitely has vibes of being around for quite some time. The upstairs isn't operational and they never repaired their draft beer from after covid. So no draft year. Other than that, it's a cozy little place to go and have a steak in the drain. I recommend the ribeye. It's huge!

If you have not been here, you are missing out! This is the oldest restaurant in Arkansas. The atmosphere is great and the food is all home-made style from scratch. Go there. Do it.

Excellent service at the bar, and probably the best food I've ever had in Camden! I'll definitely return.

Great place to eat with the kids or slip in the bar and have some drinks& play pool. We had Texas toothpicks, fried pickles, steak, and cheeseburgers in the restaurant and then went right into the bar for drinks. Fun time had by all. Teresa is a great bartender and very attentive.

That is a pic of half tamale plate and the nacho plate. Everything has been top notch each time we visit. Daily specials but get there early. A little small town treasure!

We never know what to expect when try new places to eat, but the White House Cafe in Camden Ark. was unexpectedly good. They have a bar and sit down area. The atmosphere was great along with the food. The waitress is a really down home person, loved her. I have the nacho plate, so good. My mother had the enchilada plate, so good. My daughter had the fried cat fish with coleslaw, also really good. All in all a really great place to sit down and eat. Loved it. Will come back in the future. 🥰🤩

The White House burger is the best burger around! Great margaritas too!

Food was good, service great, love the atmosphere. One of my best memories was eating here with my parents as a kid.

Had the enchiladas and it was surprisingly good. Staff are very personable and know many regular patrons by name. Service is a little slow, but reasonable. Seating is tight, so don't come with a party larger than 6. Prices are a good value for the large portions.

Homey small-town bar and diner. Good atmosphere, very friendly crew, food was well prepared and presented. A great place to get a solid bite.

The upside: Fabulous food, good local atmosphere! We had 2 sweet teas (southern sweet), 2 shrimp cocktail apps (large shrimp, excellent flavor, homemade cocktail sauce that was VERY good but a tad bit spicy from horseradish), cheeseburger with onion rings (the best onion rings I have ever had in my life), and a 6oz sirloin steak with salad and loaded baked potato (the real thing - not microwaved - again one of the best I've had ever).

The downside: the check was $50 BUT I would not hesitate to go back, and will even drive past other towns just to eat here. Next time I would opt for a water with lemon to cut the bill some, then opt for a cheaper entree, and skip the side salad completely, but would still order the shrimp cocktail, likely split one. I would expect that would knock the bill down between $30-35.

I should note the following:
I am not a local, we are from a much more populated area, so I was hesitant at first.
We had dinner, in January, 8:30pm, so it was dark outside when we first drove past. Without knowing the town, I could not tell if it would be an establishment that I would frequent after dark. We opted to turn around and give it a try after a police officer recommended it and we read the Google reviews.
Very neat place, the owner bought it in April of 2000, and expanded the restaurant, although the original restaurant dates back to 1907.
Very friendly staff and fairly quick service. Clean restrooms.
Would visit again and again, any time we are passing through.

Stopped in with my sons for lunch today. Great atmosphere, great burgers, and very nice people. I will be going back to Camden to eat here again. Soon!

Live entertainment and great food! Definitely come check them out!

Great food at amazing prices

We love the Whitehouse and go there every time we stop through Camden. We love teresa and all the girls that work there! Great food and great atmosphere. Also they have a fully stocked bar and a lounge attached to the restaurant side!

Best restaurant in Camden! Everytime we come down here we always have to stop! Food is great (try the Texas tooth picks and the shrimp appetizer) We've never had anything we didn't love. They even worked with us when our cards weren't working correctly and took a cc over the phone. MobileCare Dental rates this restaurant the highest it can everytime! Thanks guys!

Wonderful atmosphere, awesome food and Great tea. The owner was awesome and friendly. If it was closer to where I live I would eat there every day.( I LOVED the wrap around staircase.)

Mrs. Ann's lunch specials are the absolute best, especially the hot water cornbread. If you're going for dinner you can't go wrong with the Patty Melt either, but definitely try to make it by for lunch during the week for the lunch specials.

We had a celebration for a coworker here and it was wonderful. Our waitress took really good care of us and the food was wonderful. Will definitely be back again.
