We have nothing but good things to say about the job Lewis & Co did for us, and all the crew that worked on our house. They are good people, friendly, hard workers, and very accommodating. They listened to our needs, and were totally receptive to ‘tweaks’ along the way, while making suggestions to make the project a successful one.

The basic project was to remove and replace the deck and stairs and replace the glass panels and sliding glass doors to the deck and stairs. Sounds simple enough, but anyone who has dealt with an older house knows to expect the unexpected.

Our house is a 90 yr old typical craftsman bungalow. Many years ago the back porch had been converted to a breakfast nook with glass panels and sliding glass door to the deck. On the adjacent wall was a glass panel and a sliding glass door with stairs (1 story) down to the back yard. All the glass, doors, deck and stairs were removed and replaced. We chose Pella for the glass and doors (anodized aluminum clad on the exterior, bare wood on the interior), ‘pricey’, but glad we did. The decking was done in composite with anodized aluminum balusters. All SUPER NICE!

The foundation under the nook was totally redone, new footings, and new concrete floor. This area was previously a shed with a dirt floor. The shed was reframed and sided with cedar siding with a protective stain.

Additional work: Re-setting quarry tiles that were removed to patch water damage along the base of the doors and glass panels. Remove, replace, and paint water damaged clapboards. Finish trim and paint around the exterior of the glass. Stain and seal the interior of the Pella panels.

This was not a typical job. As there were foundation and structural issues, it took ingenuity and attention to detail to make it work. We are ‘tree huggers’, and Terry worked with us to prevent any collateral damage to the trees that bless the area around our deck. Our lot is on quite a slope to the back, so the deck is actually ‘second story’ so it has a ‘tree house’ feel.

We are extremely pleased with the job Terry and his crew did for us. The final product is everything that we hoped it would be.

We hired Lewis & Company Construction to remodel our master bath after water damage was discovered in the existing space. They had built a beautiful concrete patio with outdoor kitchen and firepit last year, and we hired them for this remodel on the strength of their prior work. The complete experience was seamless and enjoyable from design to finishing touches. Mike Irmen and Terry Miller stood out for their excellent project management and communication with us. They paid attention to the smallest details, and the results are really stunning.

Extremely impressed! Lewis and Company provided extensive exterior and interior repairs, plus a complete renovation, of my Mother's entire home after my Father passed. They were prompt, detailed, fantastic problem-solvers, and went above and beyond what was expected. They responded immediately when contacted with questions and kept us well-informed through the process. Not once did we worry that the work wasn't being completed correctly, which was an enormous blessing following the loss of a loved-one. Mom's house is now sturdy, safe, level, and beautiful! She -loves- it.

Lewis and company helped us plan a beautiful deck with a cover for our patio. The construction crew was always on time, very respectful, cleaned up site and answered all our questions. This company does excellent work and we highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience! We researched for a year before hiring Lewis & Company for our total kitchen remodel. We kept seeing and hearing about this company, and when a dear friend gave a great recommendation we knew it had to be them. Mike and his team knocked it out of the park! (even tackling some specific challenges of an older home) Mike's advice was indispensable. He gave us choices without overwhelming us which we definitely appreciated! The crew were so nice and professional. We felt very at ease with everything. The end result was so much more than we had imagined. And the project itself came in on time and budget- a huge plus! They converted an awkward narrow covered porch with lower level deck into a stunning single level outdoor living space. Great experience with Lewis & Company Construction! Such a relief to find a company that was fairly priced, timely, honest, and strong communication throughout the job completion. lWhen looking for a contractor you need someone who is going to spend the time to write up a detailed estimate and be knowledgeable about what will be involved in the remodel and/or repair. Go to Lewis & Company who will get the job done the right way, the first time, and in the time promised! To respect the time it takes to provide a proper estimate, Lewis & Company requires a small service charge for a formal estimate. To me, it was well-worth the charge as it showed me they were committed to providing me with an accurate estimate and it gave me an idea of how thorough James and his crew would be in completion of the job. James also did a detailed walk-through of the work I was interested in completing and gave me useful, honest, and practical advice regarding my budget constraints.

James and Lewis completed about $15K of home repairs/upgrades in preparation for putting my parent's home on the market. All my interactions with both James and his employees were great and I felt comfortable with them in my home. There was always good communication with me regarding when they would be coming. There was about a 3 week wait for the initial meeting, 1 month for the detailed estimate, and about 2 months for the work to start- but this was told to me upfront (and I was willing to wait for this company) and I was always kept in the loop if there was going to be a delay. Once the job started, it was completed on fast and on schedule. I was super happy with the work they provided and so relieved to have found a company I could trust in home remodels or builds.

Lewis and Company construction did an awesome job on my deck and my retaining wall! This was not an easy process since the deck was about 25ft off the ground and my backyard had a steep slope. Mike and Terry were awesome to deal with and they made sure that everything was the way we spoke about prior to the build. I can't thank them enough for the job they did. Even during this Covid pandemic they were able to get these jobs done quickly and precisely.

We bought our first house 3 years ago as a short sale. Lots of things to fix. We hired Lewis & Co in January to do our biggest project yet: cutting down a very large and healthy oak tree our dilapidated two-story deck was built around, tearing down the deck, and then rebuilding a new one. After this project and looking back at all the repairmen and contractors we worked with the past 3 years, I wish we had had Lewis & Co do them all! They did such an incredible job. Mike came and gave us a very fair estimate for doing the tree and the deck. I had no idea he himself would be the one to climb the very tall tree and carefully cut it down piecemeal. The tree was very close to our house and we were terrified to have someone cut it down. It was truly incredible how he did it without any damage to our house. The tree was huge. The new deck looks better than we expected. They also repaired the siding where our deck was built against the house. Throughout the job, Mike was easy to communicate with and always answered our questions promptly and politely. They made sure the yard (including our walking stones and drainage pipes) was repaired from where the largest trunk of the tree fell. All the mess and trash were cleaned up. The price for the job was very fair and worth every penny for the quality we received. We will be using Lewis & Co. for our next job. We highly recommend them!!

Excellent company! We have been reluctant to do any big projects on the house as we were concerned about finding a good construction group. We finally decided to add a screened in porch. Mike evaluated, came up with a plan, and discussed with us in detail. Everything went exactly according to plan! The crew was prompt, courteous, and did excellent work. We are so pleased with the results!

Mike and James are always a pleasure to work with. Both jobs they have done for me have been top notch. They do all they can to make sure you are not just satisfied but ecstatic with their work.
