I have a 1968 Ford Bronco that I wanted the SBF289 rebuilt on. I followed the reviews and a couple of buddies advice to Rebel. I am glad I did! This father and son keep the tidiest shop I’ve came across. They were friendly and very helpful on navigating what all I was wanting done. There is a wait but it’s just a testament of many customers like me following word of mouth that Rebel because they do an excellent job. My 52 year little old engine came back looking brand new and I without a doubt could feel more pep in it! I would highly recommend Rebel for anything from honing/small machine work to a full rebuild like mine!

Rebel rebuilders is where you want to go. They do good quality work. Fast and friendly. They bored a sbc, turned the crank, and sized the rods. When I went to Assemble it everything was spot on. I could not ask for better service. The motor runs strong and sounds great I’ve got about 8k miles on it with no issues

I obtained my truck from a car auction. The smoke that came out the exhaust was so thick you could not see through it. Oil had been leaking out of the engine for what appeared for years with mud. I decided to try my luck pulling the heads off to see if the problem was a blown head gasket and unfortunately, the problem was much worse than I originally expected. Since I know nothing about rebuilding an engine I took it to this place. I paid upfront to have the work done. Upon picking up my motor I asked them to do some extra work so I could just drop the whole thing in. I went ahead and paid for the extra work and gave them the parts. I came back a few hours later to pick up the engine and they gave me a refund to parts that I had apparently paid for which I had just given to them; a substantial refund that I would have never noticed.

They turned my trashy motor into something that looked brand new. But a motor is worthless just looking good. They removed the squealing, the shaking, the smoke, and restored it to its original power, blowing away my expectations.

This is a kind of business that I would recommend to my friends and family, because I would know they would be taken care of, treated with respect, and will not taken advantage of with their given knowledge of engines. I am very impressed with their service and the next time I need and engine rebuilt, this is where I am taking it.

Stump is the stuff , you won't find better .

My motor was a rebuilt LS block with ported and polished heads with manley valves and katech springs, supercharger cam, forged pistons and rods. Had oil pressure issues on my rebuilt engine from a machine shop in NJ and was weary of taking it to a machine shop. I talked to them and they sounded extremely experienced and knowledgeable which was comforting after my bad experience elsewhere.

They did a lot of work for me, some of which included a complete tear down, cleaning, light cleanup hone on all cylinders, sleeved one of my bad cylinders, line-honed the crank, swapped reluctors on the crank and keyed it, followed by a full reassembly with slew of new parts (which they let me source on my own so I could save a few bucks).

I've got nearly 1000 miles on the motor now and its safe to say my oil pressure issues are in the past. Its putting down over 600hp like a champion. I've datalogged oil pressure and remains solid throughout the RPM band. The motor runs quietly as well (for what it is).

Friendly, fast, knowledgeable, and most importantly honest service. They spent a lot of time making sure I wouldn't have oil pressure issues again. Hopefully I don't need to rebuild any motors anytime soon, but if I do, I'd definitely go back to them.

They are great machinist with great services for the last 20+ years i been coming.
