This was an awesome and nostalgic little shop! I had an espresso cone dipped in chocolate and the Wednesday special, which is a bacon cheeseburger 🍔 with the best fries I've had in a loooooong time. The kind that seem battered they're so crisp and delicious yet soft potato-y in the inside. So damn good. The girl at the counter was super nice and attentive which is cool. Bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen area that is visible was immaculate. Very great spot.

Delicious place to eat on the beautiful drive down to Pima. Burgers were awesome, tacos were fresh and on point! Ice cream sundae was perfect and tasty. Definitely stop by and eat and enjoy the beautiful snowy mountains of Mt. Graham. Easy drive thru, staff was super friendly. Didn’t have to wait long for food. We will be back!

Great local ice cream/burger/mex food shop. Food is good, prices are reasonable, and staff are friendly. Every time I in the area I stop in for a tasty banana shake and a bite to eat. Yum!

Okay, this is a weird one. Buckle up.

First off, the highway signs are pretty off-putting, nonetheless captivating. One of them mentioned “Spanish food,” which is bizarre, considering they don’t serve any “Spanish food” whatsoever. I think they’re slightly confused, because French fries with enchilada sauce and cheese is not “Spanish,” nor is it Mexican. Typical white Mormons confusing their cultures….

But despite that extremely embarrassing flaw in advertising, Taylor Freeze offers some delicious eats in an otherwise gastronomic void. I ordered their Wednesday special, the bacon burger combo. It was a compact burger, but perfectly assembled and seasoned. Think of Wendy’s but way better. I loved the chopped lettuce, pickles, and mustard. Despite being small, patty and all, it was delicious. And the fries were fire, balancing that act between crispy and not overdone, beautifully colored and seasoned, albeit lacking fry sauce (come on, Mormons), which is somewhat odd for mormon-land.

The customer service was phenomenal. They asked for my name and called me by name. The cashier was extremely friendly. They even asked if I wanted onions. Yes. Hell yes I want onions.

I only wish the burgers were bigger. Then again, in hindsight, maybe most burgers are a little too inflated. Remember: the hunger we feel is an indicator of how soon we should eat, not how much. And therefore, the portion size was perfect. I left feeling full, not stuffed, and with that being said, Taylor gets a deserved 5 stars. Bravo. Bravo.

Very cute little shop, it's been around since the 1960s. I've had a daughter work here who could tell some ghost stories--the girl who got stuck in the freezer overnight over 30 years ago, whose ghost is blamed every time something goes wrong with the equipment (many of which are also over 30 years old)
.
What I really love about this place is it's small-town atmosphere, special signature menu items, and fresh-faced & friendly employees. Sometimes it takes them longer to bring you part of your order because they make everything on the spot. Sometimes they can't make something because the ___ machine isn't working today. But you know you're getting your money's worth, and you know you're getting a slice of pure Americana that's almost disappeared from our great nation.

I recommend if you have the time, go inside and sit down while you wait for your order. Read some of the plaques, jokes, and articles on the wall (my wife's favorite: "Behind every successful rancher...is a wife who works in town."). Listen to the chatter of the employees as they cheerfully fill the orders. And say hi to some of the locals who stop in.

I guarantee you'll want to come back again and try something else. Not because you didn't like your first order, but because of the charm of the place, and because so many things on the menu sound so good, you'll have a hard time choosing.

My favorite on the menu is the Avalanche (pictured): $4.89 for a large. Note that there is a $0.50 charge for using a card as payment, and $0.50 for dipping sauces, both of which seemed high to me, considering that most restaurants don't charge for either. Then again, most restaurants aren't a small family operation. I don't begrudge that small expense if it keeps them in business.

Taylor Freeze is a great place for anything you are in the mood for. We got a cheeseburger, a burrito, and some seasoned fries. Everything was tasty and had great flavor. We also got a chocolate dipped and cherry dipped cone with an M&M "mixer." I don't remember what they called it. The ice cream was soft and smooth. If you are looking to support a local restaurant with a long history with the city, Taylor Freeze is the place to see.

Love this place. Live in Phoenix but stop every chance I get. Been going since the mid 80's. Food is excellent and ice cream treats even better.

Seen the signs along the road and decided to give them a try. Great selection and very reasonable prices. The big t was delicious and it was the first time I had a root beer float with soft serve. Screw the fast food in town, give these guys try!

Fun old time place. We've been twice on different road trips through the area, worthwhile stop. Flavors are interesting and plentiful choices. Had a party of 5 and everyone enjoyed what they chose. Worth the stop.

Local greasy spoon with great food and atmosphere. I had the Swiss. We shared onion rings and a 44 oz chocolate shake.

The burgers were fantastic! A great price and the large fries were big enough to share for 2. A must stop and try it yourself! They also have drive thru!

Stopped at random for a meal, found Taylor Freeze. The burgers were very fresh tasting and really hit the spot. Nothing huge, no super special flavors, just a nice sized burger that tasted exceptionally fresh. What did catch my flavor senses though was a first for me; Enchilada Fries! A perfect combo; hot fries smothered (not too much) with red enchilada sauce and cheese! Oh man that was a treat! I felt this simple but ingenuitive side dish was worth giving this place the 5/5 rating. Great place to stop for a snack if you're on the long haul, and who knows what other treats they serve there!

Charming little place with soft-serve ice cream. They serve it with 24 different flavors. They'll have a flavor you'll love. Didn't have a full lunch (just a timing thing) but will try it next time through. Very friendly employees.
Edit: this new trip, had time to stop for chicken sandwiches and fries. All good.👍

This was my first job in high school. It was a Tastee Freeze then. I revisited when I was in town for my 40th class reunion. It has always been family owned and cared about the quality of food and service it gave its customers and because of that, they have stayed in business since 1965. If you visit the area, stop in and get a burger and cone!
