Dave's Auto Service is the best shop in Mcminnville for repairs and maintenance. David, Marty, and Christian conducted a proper tune up on my 64 Rambler. I recommend seeing David if your car needs any maintenance from air conditioning repairs to brake jobs to oil changes and more.

Dave runs the BEST auto repair shop I have EVER encountered.Not only are he and his techs extremely good at what they do,he is willing to do what it takes to do the job right.He is also best of all an honest man.Very rare in this world but almost nonexistent in auto repair service. I have brought my rig in and told him something needed to be replaced several times only to have Dave tell me a much less expensive diagnosis. I have been a customer for over 12 yrs and have never been anything but grateful to have his help.I can’t say enough good about his shop.Thanks Dave!!!

There is no mechanic like Dave. I come down from Portland because his expertise and honesty can’t be beat. He is a realist about which repairs are necessary, he makes my old car run like a dream and he and Marty are incredibly kind to boot. I feel so lucky to access both these awesome mechanics and I send all my friends to Dave’s.

We were travelling through McMinville and had some car trouble. We quickly Googled service stations in the area and noticed that Dave had a high rating and was nearby. He quickly diagnosed our problem and we were on our way within an hour. Even though he was in the middle of helping other customers, he took the time to help us right away. We were expecting to have to wait for at least a few hours before we could resume our trip so we were pleasantly surprised to get such quick service.

I've been bringing my cars to Dave's since 2003. Not only is the service, the turn around time, and the repair work top notch, Dave operates his business with transparency. He's personally shown me every repair he's done on my vehicles and I've learned a lot about how cars work! Also, he's done small machining and soldering work before to help keep costs down for me. Dave's is a great local business and I hope everyone reading this brings their vehicles in to get work done there.

Repaired my fly-wheel, not replaced and did an excellent job for $1000 less. The repair has lasted with no issues for already 60k more miles! I recommend him to everyone and all have been happy. I have only had one issue when one of his mechanics listed too much labor and that was corrected.

Dave is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. He's incredibly intelligent and fair. That's why he's always so busy. I'll be moving out of state later this year and one of the biggest downsides is that I won't know where to take my car if it needs work. There's simply no place better than Dave's Auto Service. McMinnville is lucky he's been serving us for over 40 years.

Very professional and honest mechanic. Always checking with customer, authorizing work when necessary, conscious of budget limitations, etc. Quality work done in a very timely manner. He worked on my '84 VW, and I trusted Dave enough with my '74 2002tii (which very few mechanics are allowed touch).

Bought a used car for my college-aged son; within weeks, noticed an oil leak. Took it to Dave's for diagnosis and repair. As a "non-resident" of McMinnville, I felt Dave could have stuck it to me. Instead, I came away feeling I dealt with a decent, honest guy.

Recently, my son told me about the "check engine" light that came on. He took it to Dave's who diagnosed this problem for free. Turns out the problem was not serious.

Dave does business just like we would expect a local auto repair shop to do business. Lots of experience, timely work. Accurate diagnosis and just know their stuff.

Dave takes the time to listen and mull over the possibilities, then tackles the problem, and comes up with the best solution that doesn't break the bank. As my son Joel said, "Why would you go anywhere else?"
