2023 review: Had a great tasting experience with Raul at their McMinville tasting room on a warm June afternoon. Tasted a wide range of what they offer these days (and very different from 4 years ago) and listened to a local guitarist that was warming up for an evening chow in town. Enjoyed their charcuterie platter during our time there and had a wonderful time!

We became Wine Club Members at the winery in the Applegate Valley in southern Oregon in May, primarily due to the great wines & the tasting room in Carlton (we live in Portland). Stopped by today and had a wonderful experience, tasting the wine, enjoying a meat/cheese plate & getting to know the staff. Sat outside in the courtyard under an umbrella covered table. And enjoyed the sunshine!This is a great winery for bold southern Oregon wines that are a great break for the Willamette Valley Pinot Noirs. Stop by and enjoy all they have to offer!

My husband and I stopped in here for a tasting before dinner. The wine is excellent and the charcuterie board was well worth it. Everything is quality about this winery plus the tasting room is stunning.

Whether you're new to wine, a seasoned sommelier, or just looking for a nice spot to spend a little time while in Mac, look no further. Troon's wine is great - no pretense, just quality and passion for the process, but honestly it's the people that make it worth your time. Every member of the staff here in Mac is friendly and knowledgeable. Spend 30 minutes in here and you'll find you have a new best friend that just happens to know a lot about wine. Have a kid? Bring them in. Game night? There's space. AC and chilled white wine on a hot summer day? You've got it. Whether you're a member or not, you'll love your time here...and you'll probably end up a member. Enjoy their charcuterie, have food delivered from the GF brewery next door, or bring a pizza in (maybe even throw a slice to your new best friend, they like pizza too). Dressed up or dressed down, make this a must in Mac.

Our tasting with Wine Educator, Meg, was a really lovely experience. The staff were so fun and knowledgeable. As a wine amateur, it was a great way to learn about varietals and styles I'd never had before. Would absolutely recommend, especially if you need a little break from Willamette Pinots.

Fun people to chat with and the wines are quite lovely, different and reasonable in price.
Had a great time with Emma and Juan this evening. This will be on my list of recommendations for folks visiting McMinnville for sure.

Loved this place! Great location, super friendly. Wines are made differently (Biodynamic) and fruit forward, lots of variety, flavorful but not overly tannic or oaky flavored. Thanks Troon!

This is my favorite place! The wine is so good and I love everything the vineyard is doing with biodiversity you can tell in the quality. Jen is the best so smart and friendly.

If you are stopping in Carlton, you have to stop here. You will not be disappointed.

The wine is phenomenal! Trust me, I bought 2 cases on my visit and ended up buying another 2, two days later.

If you can, sit in the back courtyard. There are several tables and a relaxing fountain.

Meg and Juan are the best, they never disappoint. They make you feel like you have been friends with them for years. The hospitality is top notch.

Troon offers something different in an area full of pinot noir and chardonnay. These southern oregon wines are diverse and thoughtfully crafted, a strong member in the mcminnville wine scene. The staff is lomd and approachable, not pretentious or stuffy at all. I love this wine bar!!!

Had a good time here.
Wine is really good and reasonably priced and $10 for a tasting is rare these days. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. If you are hungry, go to the gas station on the corner and get a burger, they are fantastic. Trust me.

Great tasting room on a back street in Carlton serving a number of European varietals grown in southern Oregon - a welcome relief for wine lovers needing a break from all the pinot noir grown locally.

Sarah has been great every time we've been in to taste wine or pick up a shipment, and very entertaining. Plus the wine is amazing. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for a red wine that is not Pinot, this is the place!
