Stellar OG winery.. we tasted at sequitur since their tasting room was under construction, but the experience wasn’t diminished. Amazing expressions of the vineyard and wonderful flavor profiles with the explanation to go along. Can’t wait to try again in the new building!

Peter was a fantastic guide and knew so much about the vineyard and history of the family.

Wine tasting in Oregon.
If you love Pinot Noirs do a tasting here.
Came to town for a tasting menu in McMinnville and decided to check out this winery that is always making the Wine Enthusiast lists.

There is a beautiful tabby lounging in the sunlight, three pears sitting on the high table outside the tasting room door, a glorious tree breathing the air and casting shade for the tasting table below it, and inside: a wine library of the more exclusive vintages, as well as some amazing music being played in the back room where vats and casks were incubating the next vintages (think Blue Monday from Upstairs at Eric’s).

We like our wines, so we appreciated comments on the terroire and the small local vineyards that the grapes were sourced from. For my part, I was partial to the Stardust, the classic Beaux Frères and fascinated by the 2014 Gran
Moraine Pinot Noir — it smelled wonderfully earthy like umami.

I swear there was not a bottle the girlfriends did not like… And to prove the point they went home with seven bottles between them. Each bottle was approximately $90 on the lower end and $140 on the higher end. But those were just our selections. Alternatively, you can pay $55 for the tasting but at that price point why not just get a bottle of some amazing wine.

One of the things we learned while we were there is that the luxury brand Artemis has bought the winery. It’s a testament to the quality of their product. But the news was also a disappointment bc as with many in the Pacific Northwest: we love the importance of the local independent wine maker. But survival of the fittest is a real thing so we raised glasses high to Beaux Frères and wished them the very best.

Love this place. Top notch Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. If I lived close I would definitely be a member! Worth the drive out of the way for sure

Our family visited Beaux Frères on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend for their outdoor "Not-So-Open House," which was incredible! Michael Etzel, the owner, was on-hand to welcome us personally and was a very gracious host. We also had the pleasure of meeting other family members who are very involved in the vineyards' day-to-day operations at the different stations set up around the vineyards. In addition to the tastings, we especially enjoyed hearing about Beaux Frères' emphasis on biodynamic farming and other climate-friendly steps they take in making their fantastic wines. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Lovely experience. I set up a wine tasting with Beaux Freres via their Web Site. It was easy, required establishing an account, but didn't require any type of a prepayment/deposit. I researched the wines I was looking for, and was very happy that they had them available.

I arrived a bit early and sat down at a shaded picnic table. Shortly thereafter, Elizabeth greeted me, confirmed my name, and we chatted briefly before we began. She's very knowledgeable, and very pleasant to converse with.

She provided me with a personalized tasting notes card and a nice flight of wines. I also got a chance to speak with the owner/wine master, which was fun and interesting.

Elizabeth also brought out a sample of Sequitur which is the owner's private label; delicious.

I ended up purchasing a total of 6 bottles, 4 from B.F. and 2 from Sequitur. They were also offering $20 cold pack shipping on orders of 6 bottles, or more. They also waive the flight tasting cost with a purchase.

I've scratched another item off my list. Thanks, Elizabeth and Beaux Freres. Great experience.

Came with a group of 6 for our annual wine trip. Beaux Frères was amongst our top three wineries. We enjoyed a private seated tasting of rare, single vineyard bottlings and older vintages. The facility is warm (not temperature) and inviting. The staff are low key and welcoming. Our host was very knowledgeable and guided us through 6 delicious Beaux Frères, including a 2008 pinot noir. Laid back approach. Wines were very good to stellar. We were there during harvest, so got to observe some of the work up close and personally. Their fuzzy black pigs roaming around are cute and made us all smile. We liked Beaux Frères enough to join their wine club. Cheers and thanks for a wonderful experience!

If you can, definitely book a tasting at Beaux Freres. Some of the friendliest and knowledgeable people in the business.

Beaux Frères is the Jewel of the Willamette Valley, their vibrant vineyards are nestled in the foothills of Newberg Oregon. They have refined the masterful talents of their team and delight in producing champion Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. My hat is off to the unique family that owns and runs this vineyard. Please take time to visit and savor the bounty of this piece of heaven on earth. Orders are welcome! I recommend the 2020 Beaux Frères, Willamette Valley Chardonnay and the 2010 Upper Terrace, Pinot Noir! Enjoy

Hands down the best wine in Oregon. It’s not even close.

Most likely a top 10 winery in the US. Wine Spectator has given beaux freres 15 of the top 60 ratings for their Pinot noir by far more than all other Oregon winery

Their wines are more consistently superior. This is not a hit and miss. It’s a can’t miss. The beauty is that it’s a working farm that cares more about quality than perception.

Tried to get an appointment tasting on the weekend, but they were full, even during low season. Managed to squeeze us in on the Monday afternoon, last appointment of the day. Turned out to be the very last winery visit of our self-guided 6-day Willamette Valley wine extravaganza tour.

We visited absolutely stunning, world-class vineyards in the past week. Highlights were Domaine Drouhin, Trisaetum, Domaine Serene, Penner-Ash, Allero, Coeur de Terre, among others, but somehow none of them have anything on the Beaux Freres experience, and I'm glad we saved this one until last.

I can't thank Livia enough for the warm, unpretentious chat. There's nothing I love talking about more than wine, and as much as I learned on my 20+ winery tour, I took away more from this one visit than maybe all the other wineries in the Willamette Valley combined.

Best wines of my trip:
1. Beaux Freres Palissage Pinot Noir 2017
2. Domaine Serene Evenstad Pinot Noir 2014
3. Pashey Extra Brut Cuvee 2016
4. Alloro Vino Nettare 2017
5. Coeur De Terre Heritage Pinot Noir 2014

Congratulations on not only having the best wine out of the 100+ I tried on this trip, our experience with Livia could not have been any better. Thanks again for taking care of your industry people. I'm going to be gushing about this place for a long time and importing your wine despite our ridiculous import/export tariffs. Canadians should be exposed to this level of New World pinot noir at any cost.

If you come to the Okanagan, check out Blue Mountain. World class BC pinot, gamay, sparkling, and white. It's our favourite domestic winery by a longshot.

You made our trip, Beaux Freres! We will be back!

The 2014 & 2015 vintages are the finest in the Willamette Valley - in my opinion. 2016 and 2017 are also great. Wine Spectator rated all 4 vintages 95 or higher - name another winery that has accomplished that!

This was my second trip to the winery and both times I had a great experience with both the people and the wines which are amazing. I only had a brief time window to visit this time and despite calling with limited advance notice they were able to still get us in for a tasting. I left with some beautiful Pinot Noirs for my cellar and wished I had more room in my wine carrier.

Tasted across several Williamette wineries and believe these guys produce the finest pinots in the area. Subsequently joined the wine club and have found the wines to be remarkably consistent from vintage to vintage. The house style is very elegant, combining both black and red fruits that are complemented by a host of secondary flavors (forest floor, Asian spices) depending on the vintage and age of the bottle. Everything is in balance, even when young. Wines are on the pricey side in a vacuum, but once one establishes the proper bar for Beaux Freres quality (Premier Cru Burgundy) they actually have a favorable QPR. Winery and tasting room are a delight too - not as commercial as most you find today, and I for one appreciated the somewhat more rustic ambiance which harkened back to my first wine trips to Sonoma in the 80’s.

Really good Oregon Pinot Noirs! Jordan was passionate about wines. My wife and I had a nice conversation with him about grape growing and wine making. It was a nice touch to show us the vineyard nursery.

Some of the world's best Pinot Noir. Seriously. Right here on a former pig farm converted into a biodynamic winery by two brothers who knew the terrior. Now in their second generation - both as a winery and a family - they consistently produce amazingly great wine. But they stay humble - overshadowed perhaps by the big Domaines: Drouhin and Serenes not far down the road. They're good. But I'd skip them to stop here ;)

Wonderful experience. We did a private tour of the vineyard and private tasting. Ryan was a gracious host and very knowledgeable about the wine and the history of the vineyard and property. Highly recommend.

We've sampled Pinot's in Napa, Sonoma, Santa Barbara and Temecula. Beaux Freres's are the best we've had in 15 years of wine enthusiasm. The way they coat your palate and explode with flavor from beginning to end is indescribable. Beaux Freres is a must try if you are in the area.
