Fun and calm environment with wonderful people and horses! Sarah led a very informative and entertaining lesson for my wife. Can't forget Jack the Great Pyrenees that hung out with me while watching. :)

Oh my gosh, my fiancee and I had the best time ever. It was so much more than we expected. From the owner who was the absolute best to the horses Apollo and Cloud made our weekend. We will definitely be back as much as we can.

Wonderful instructors and wonderful horses. Great with kids. After our seven year old daughter's first lesson she couldn't wait to do it again, even if she hadn't been expecting to groom the horse. While she didn't enjoy that part as much as the actual riding, she came away from the experience with the understanding of why it was important. She's excited to go back for her next lesson, and so am I.

I grew up with horses and have been trying to find time to get back in the saddle and I wanted to see if my family would be interested. All three of us came up and did a horse intro together. I have a young child who loves horses and a spouse with a minor fear of them and had never ridden before. Sarah was wonderful. She walked us through basic horse care to get my kiddo and grown kid used to moving and touching their individual horses. She kept it simple but interesting. Then we were up and moving, playing games to learn to 'steer'. After that we went on a short ride around the property. It was very nice for everyone. My kiddo was beyond jazzed to be on a horse of her own and my husband didn't feel pushed too far too fast. A great way to spend an hour with the whole family.

I've been here twice for (totally) beginner lessons with a Groupon deal and Sarah has been a wonderful and friendly teacher. I've seen her staff teaching kids and they are also extremely great with kids. You get to learn to groom and dress the horse, and then you get to riding right away. Their normal price for lessons are still very reasonable. Looking forward to my next lesson!

My granddaughters enjoyed horseback riding lessons today at Fiddlestix Ranch. The lessons were 1:1 with personal attention to the smallest details. The instructors were excellent , very patient teachers and my girls had a wonderful time. They have had lessons in the past, but never in such a nice facility where everything enhanced their enjoyment and learning.

I found this place through Groupon and am so happy I did. They were accommodating, patient and diligent while teaching the three kids I brought for a first time lesson (9-11 year olds). Facility was clean and organized and the horses were patient and well-trained.

Very welcoming staff. I had started taking lessons as a complete novice and they have taught me so much while never making me feel out of place. The views are amazing and the wine tour so fun and relaxed.

Sara was very good with my 7 year son. Lessons start with brushing the horse cleaning his horse shoes. Then you help put the saddle on. It was my sons 1st time on a horse he learned how to get the horse to walk, stop, turn and trot. We also got to walk alongside him at the end when he when for a walk around the property to see some of the other horses. At the end of the lesson you help take the saddle off and he got to feed the horse some carrots. My son had a very good time and is looking forward to his next lesson

Fiddlestix ranch is a beautiful property set on a hillside overlooking gorgeous Oregon countryside. The trail ride I had was very relaxing, I do not have much horse experience but that didn't matter, the Fiddlestix Staff was very helpful. I didn't feel awkward at any time having to ask questions or learn about the riding. Great views the whole ride, thumbs up!

Beautiful facility with kind, highly skilled instructors and excellent horses. I signed up for a package of 4 lessons, the last of which was today. They were great I'm definitely taking more lessons here.

My horseback ride at Fiddlestix was fantastic. I liked how Sarah, the owner, walked me through preparing the horse for my ride. The staff is fun and professional. The trail ride through the Willamette Valley offered panoramic views of the Oregon Pinot Noir vineyards. We rode directly through one vineyard and past a winery and an orchard. At the midpoint of the ride we had a majestic view of Mt. Hood. Fiddlestix is close to Yamhill and Carlton so the location is great. I am excited to return there this week! 5 stars for service, quality, and overall experience.

UPDATE:
Last weekend was my third visit from Chicago to Yamill and Fiddlestix. This time I brought my three kids, ages 10, 8 and 5. They had a group lesson that was amazing. My kids aren't always the best listeners, but the special attention from Sarah, Becky and Denny at Fiddlestix captured their focus. The horses at Fiddlestix all have great temperaments. Even in the pouring rain we were able to have lessons in the huge covered arena. We will be back!

We had a wonderful time doing the vineyard ride. Great place, great people and horses, and absolutely gorgeous scenery. It was about an hour's drive from Portland. Highly recommend!

Went to watch my cousin in her lessons, they were friendly. I was able to watch and take pictures, would recommend for anyone. They also do parties it looks like. Seems like a sweet set up.

My daughter sure loves this place. It's the only thing that we look forward to doing for her during COVID. At least she can be close to a horse if she can't be close to friends.
