Summit Healthcare Urgent Care - Show Low

I first went to Lakeside Banner Urgent Care. Fellow at the front desk was unwelcoming and rude with smug remarks. I had a few questions, he was not attempting to be genuinely helpful in any way. I decided to take my business here instead. The Lady at the front desk was very warm and welcoming. Even though I ended up needing to take my son to the ER instead, due to insurance issues, She was extremely helpful. She genuinely cared and our experience was a 100% difference from Banner. Thank you Summit ❤

This place was leagues ahead of banner. They actually did a thorough evaluation of our son unlike banner. Banner sent us out the door, and our son had strep throat. Thanks Summit!

My mom was in the hospital for 2 days. The nurses that took care of her were amazing. They were kind and caring. Our family enjoyed the cafeteria. Great prices

I had to go on 11-9-2022. Thought I had a cold and was getting worse. I was treated by Dr.Jay Kempton who gave me excellent care with compassion and concern. Had my lungs xrayed to rule out pneumonia. Said he would call as soon as he got the results then he would order my prescriptions. Called me within an hour and my medication was ready to be picked up at Walmart.

I had a great experience it the Urgent Care today. I was treated by Travis . He took the time to listen to my concerns and helped me make the best medical decision for myself. This is the second time I have been taken care of by Travis. The experience from the receptionist , nurse and Doctor is how you want to be treated.

Went in to be seen for an upper respiratory issue. I was exposed to RSV and wanted to rule that out. Got perfect care. After seeing them yesterday, I feel so much better.

Front reception was very pleasant. The PA was warm and caring. Had a long wait as it was busy. Per staff, Sundays are usually quiet. Would use this facility again if the need arose and was in the area.

Staff and providers are very warm. Amazing to see a provider same day for something you normally wait weeks for. Impressed to have had the provider be the one to call with test results. Definitely recommend. Thank you Summit!

Dr Varga and Amanda are simply amazing. They truly care about you as a patient. Dr. Varga is a very down to earth professional Physician. I'm blessed

The staff was super amazing and got my leg all sutured up! They were all very friendly and nice.

The staff is super friendly and nice. They prescribed my son an antibiotic but never sent it to the pharmacy and I can’t get ahold of anyone on the phone

Went into the urgent care on August 15, 2022. Everything seemed OK. Finally saw a PA. (Shane Smith),had a skin issue. He just sort of looked at it, thought it didn’t really look like what I know it to probably be. He just prescribes me an antibiotic, that ended up after a week of taking it only flaring up my situation.,and told me to put hydrocortisone cream on it.When I called back to let them know his advice and prescription wasn’t working,they said I’d have to come in and pay for a whole other visit. Not happy with this place at all.

If you're looking to lay in a bed for 6+ hours when the testing is already done this is your place. Looking to lay in a bed and leave with cramps as bad as your initial injury if not worse.
0/10 don't come here unless you're literally dying, or you're wasting your time as you can sit in a bed and get nothing done at home far more comfortably than sitting here waiting for literally nothing. At this point the pain i entered with is now under the pain of being stuck in the same room in the same bed for 6+ hours

The staff was nice, but I took my son in for a suspected corneal abrasion/possible foreign body. The nurse practitioner took a quick look at his eye and asked questions about drainage, pain, etc. She offered me the option of a prescription for an antibiotic. I asked if they had a slit lamp (the piece of equipment used to closely examine the eye) and she said they do not. She went on to explain that if they had a slit lamp, they would be able to diagnose eye problems and would then be obligated to treat them, so they instead refer patients to the ER. I will not return to this facility. I have been told that Banner Urgent Care does have a slit lamp and can treat minor eye injuries. I won’t go to Summit Urgent Care again for any reason.
