Hospitable staff, great food, and convenient location. 49 Social made us feel welcomed when we came in on a rainy Thursday before we saw the night's showing of Waitress. The food was served promptly and in good portions, and tasted wonderful! I highly recommend getting the pulled pork sliders. Menu variety isn't too large, but the selection covers a lot of tastes.

A neighborhood gem. We visited Boston for a week and found this place on the internet. So pleased we did. We wanted to go back for lunch on our last day but it was not open yet. Gluten free options & many other delicious options! Thank you from Canada!

49 social is a hidden jewel, by far the most friendliest restaurant in Boston with awesome food , soon as you walk in you feel at home!
The owner is always there to make sure your getting 5 star, top shelf food & service.

LOVED our experience here! We were going to a show and this restaurant turned out to have some great food and some delightful service! The manager went out of his way to make sure that we were accommodated and comfortable. It was a great feel - really interesting vibe, very unique! Will definitely go back!

Went on inter web recommendation. Could not have been more pleased. Ordered three starters, all were fantastic.they did have a band and quite a few people coming in to see them on a Monday which was a nice surprise. Food was amazing and complex. My new favorite!

49 was the best bar we went to on our honeymoon. The service was amazing. Didn't have the food so can't comment on that. But the bartender Doug was outstanding and as an avid bar star I can honestly say this was the best service and bartender I ever had. He treated us canadians like royalty. Grace was an absolute sweetheart and she always made sure my drinks were full and was great to talk to. Anytime I come to boston this will be a for sure stop for at least a beer. Beers cold and the company is great.

Atmosphere was great, and the food was very delicious. I love the garlic French fries that they serve. Waiter was very nice and personable.

Went before a show, the food was delicious. Had a little snafu getting our meals but Shannon the bar manager straightened it out. Will be our go to pre- show dinner.

Super attentive staff. We ordered Shrimp, NY Strip, Wings, Mediterranian Salad with a side of Truffle Mac & Cheese. It was all perfect for everyone. Will certainly return.

Very chic place. Great menu and excellent service. A lot of people were going to the theater and servers asked everyone if they were.

This is a fun place. It is hidden so it can be slow. The food is excellent and the bartenders make very good drinks.

Love this option for a lower key, less busy alternative in Downtown Crossing without sacrificing great service and arguably the best vodka dirty martini with hand-stuffed bleu cheese olives.

One of the best places in Boston. Not many people know of this place. The best thing to get are the short rib sliders. Sooo sooo damn good!!!
