Slater Memorial Park

Hidden treasure! Such a beautiful park which keeps all ages engaged. Be it an active kid or who loves rock climbing or a toddler to play in the swing or an elderly person who just likes to get some fresh air, this park is so big that we never thought it has so many things inside.

Great spot for a party. You can rent spaces, there’s a good size parking lot (but it does fill up) We were able to throw a perfect gender reveal party here.
People next to us had a soccer game meet up here as well. Ton of spaces. Picnic tables are already there but most of our guests brought their own foldable beach chairs and stuff.
You can just bring table cloths or you can bring a whole set up
There are portable restrooms set up here but I didn’t use them. It’s good they’re available though.

Great place to take kids. The playground is pretty good and has a separate area for kids under 5yrs that’s actually nice.

Pretty cool playground park for little kids, not teens. It's decent sized, and it has a variety of play areas for the kids. Also, there's a pretty long trail behind it, and an ice cream place next door as a bonus. I recommend it.

We attended the Slater park Winter wonderland festival on December 13th, 2023. Tons of Christmas trees each having its own dedication to someone who passed away and lots of little fake houses and shops with local businesses that sponsored the festival names on them. There's a horse carousel 🎠 you can ride, a dog park with running water and shade and benches one side for big dogs the other for small dogs. Lots of parking, a duck pond, trails, a playground and a Animal shelter run y the city of Pawtucket. A few places to eat in summer, public restrooms and a small farm zoo, with donkeys, chickens, ducks, and plants. A great place to unwind in the warm weather, they also have sites you can either use or rent with barbeques for your use. Dog friendly, and handicap accessible.

I have been coming here since I was a kid and my fur kid LOVES it here. There are so many nice and safe places to walk all around the park so I frequent here often with the pups. I love the 10 mile river walk and bike path they have in the park and Leia loves the side trails surrounding it. We try to stick to those trails because they are so peaceful and comforting but when we're in a rush, we usually stick to the dog park or to doing loops in and around the park. There are many things to do here but the trails by far, are my favorite and you can easily access them on the bike path. On a side note, I love the old school carousel when she's up and running. I even go on rides as an adult because it reminds me of the good moments I had as a child at this park. My favorite animal to ride is the dog of course! Stop into the mini zoo they have as well with the goats and Guinea hens, it's adorable to see the kiddos reactions to the animals and it may just make you happy to see them as well.

Greatest park in RI, kids have a nice playground. One of the best bike 🚴 paths. Also great for walking, jogging, running or just simply relaxing. Also check out the little barn/zoo and ice cream spot. Don’t forget the carrusel 🎠

We like to walk around the lake, take in the scenery, watch the ducks & swans🌲🌅

My all time favorite park! Pokémon, playground and so much more. I live on the other side of the state.

Winter Wonderland was fantastic! Thank you to everyone who made it all happen. My grandchildren and all the adults left smiling and in the Christmas spirit.

The park has great amenities: full featured kids playground, restrooms, picnic sites, parking lots and some eating options. There is a paved loop trail through the park ~2.5 miles long which is ~1hr walk. The loop is stroller friendly. There are a river and pond withing the park, as well as historical landmarks.

Local car meet at Slater memorial park every Tuesday night 4-8 pm!! Great people awesome cars ....great time!!! Come on down!

Slater Park is filled with lots to do with your little ones. You can also rent a spot to have cookouts and it's cheap. There's a place to go fishing, a playground baseball fields and a carousel. If you have dogs there is also a dog park.

Great place to walk around and get some fresh air. They have a tennis court there for those that like that. Some walking trails. A few gazebos and artistic bridges, great place for people to take nice photos. I didnt walk around the whole place, there is more I would like to see. I would love it of they have grills there! I didnt see any where I walked so far.

Slater park is very family oriented! Wonderful for kids!

They have really clean restrooms.
This park was lovely. I only had time to drive thru that day, but there was a lot of activity. They had tennis courts, people were flying kites, and there was a huge gathering at one of the pavilions.
This park was really pretty. I WILL go back and find a shady spot to read.

Fantastic playground with an area for younger kids, too. Plenty of climbing structures. It's fenced in, with only 1 open area leading to the parking lot. There are benched and] tables near that area, so it's easy to keep an eye on your child. Plenty of free parking.

Me and my children including my husband and my brother absolutely love going to this park especially for community Days for Pokemon go. I also went here for the poke fest and there were a lot of other people that were playing Pokemon go as this place is known for playing this Pokemon go game.

This park is wonderful. So many events held here. Dog park is being redone. Playground is well kept /clean. Tennis courts there is a small zoo in the center of the park that I want to check out the next time I go.
Food stand is a big hit & can have a long line at times.
