TLC Moving & Storage

When we sold our condo in Boston, we received several mailings regarding moving company services. The first one we called was TLC Moving & Storage. We liked the fact that TLC was local and the fact that Florin immediately returned our call. We requested that he pack our goods and move them from Beacon Hill to Newport, R.I. Florin also accommodated the dates that we wanted for the packing & move. In discussions with Florin, he alleviated any concerns that we might have had re references, insurance, etc.

Florin called us prior to the day of packing to confirm arrival times, make sure that the parking permits were in place, etc. While the plan was to pack on the first day and load the truck the next morning, Florin and his associate, Brooke, arrived on time & went right to work without even taking a lunch break. They finished packing much earlier than expected and had time to pack the truck that afternoon. As a result, we were able to leave for Newport early the next morning, allowing us extra time for the unloading and starting to get organized in our new home. Florin & Brooke actually arrived at our new home shortly before we did. Once again, they got right to work, taking no breaks. All of our furnishings were carefully handled and arrived in tact, with no breakage.

In addition to hard working, both Florin & Brooke were polite, diligent, professional and a pleasure to work with. We recommend TLC Moving services to anyone and we would not hesitate to use TLC again in the future.

Highly recommend booking TLC for your move! They’re punctual, efficient, careful with your items and very friendly (nice added bonus). They’re also very quick to respond and work to meet your needs. I’ve booked them twice in two months and one time with just a few days notice.

HIGHLY recommended! I had to move out with very short notice and store all my furniture and belongings for an unknown amount of time. Florin was very accommodating, understanding and fair. He and his crew made time to get there within the week to pack, move and store all of my belongings. Very hard-working and efficient. Florin kept in great communication the whole time. I ended up having to store my stuff for five months and when it was time to move back in again Florin and his team were there within the week.

TLC moving is a great company. We’ve used them several times and it’s always gone well. The staff is professional, efficient, and very careful. Highly recommended!!

My family and I have used TLC Moving several times over the past ten years for both moving and storage needs.
We have done complicated moves with furniture going from one family member to another in multiple stops and in different parts of the state. At one point we realized we needed a new bed frame and they went out of their way to go to the store and pick it up for us so that we could complete the assembly of my Mom's bed at her assisted living facility. I don't know of any other moving company that would provide that kind of personalized service. Florin is kind, patient, communicative and prompt. Most times they've shown up earlier than expected! His team is always considerate and easy to work with and there has never been a single spot of damage on any furniture or walls in our homes. All items were wrapped and moved with utmost care. I would (and have!) recommend TLC Moving to anyone looking for a reliable moving company.

Great group of movers who can accommodate large moves with their truck and experienced packing techniques.

He’s been doing it for a long time and has seen it all from moving pianos to removing couch feet and putting them back again.

TLC Moving did such a wonderful job! Our others movers backed out at the last minute, and TLC really saved us. We called them the day on Tuesday, they picked up our things the next day (Wed), and then moved and unloaded them 700+ miles away on Friday. They were on-time, professional, efficient, and stuck to the quote. I can't praise them enough!

I am a real estate agent and a couple of my clients have used these movers and had a great experience. One of them moved across the country and said that everything went smoothly and there was a lot of care taken to their belongings and they arrived with no damage.

Florin told me how much the rate per hour gonna be when I called him in advance and how many people he is gonna bring in. The second day, they came very early with a big truck and did the move efficiency and quickly and his workers were very professional and courteous. I was very happy with the move and I will highly recommend them.

I contacted about 4 other companies before I found TLC. They were the first to get back to me. The only other company to respond took a while and I was on a time frame as I promised the people who took over my place that I was going to be out of the apartment a week before September 1st to be able to avoid the craziness. They gave me the best price around. The other companies gave me at least a few hundred dollars extra on the estimate.

I moved from Brighton and I had to drop off my stuff at two different places (one at the new place and the other stuff were going to storage).

Throughout the process, they communicated quickly via email. All of my questions were answered, and I felt comfortable going ahead with them.

On they day of the move, they maintained contact with me by phone to give me any updates on their ETA. They were supposed to come to Brighton at 10 and at 9:45 they showed up at my door.

They supplied boxes and helped me pack - specifically, I needed help with packing my dishes and glasses. They packed everything soooo fast; I was still working on my stuff. I had a full bedroom set and it wasn't a problem for them to take it down piece by piece and wrap everything up without any scratches.

They also packed all my clothes in wardrobe boxes, as they mentioned to me over the phone. They did it so much faster than I could have done it.

They also provided storage space for me for much cheaper than any storage companies around. It was about $20 cheaper but who doesn't love a deal??!!

Definitely call them and you will recommend them to all of your friends!! I was very happy with the company from the second I contacted them - I wish I didn't waste any time on the other companies!!

I am so thankful to Florin, Samir, and Freddy. They were so professional and made a very stressful situation (moving Boston to Texas) not so stressful. At the last minute, I realized the truck I had reserved with TLC was not going to fit the loading dock I was moving into. Instead of telling me I was out of luck like they easily could have, the manager made a few phone calls to other companies to make sure my move went on as scheduled. Truly appreciated.

I was able to book with only two days notice. Movers were friendly, quick and professional and the pricing was very fair. Highly recommend and l would use them again in a heartbeat.
