Our first visit to this restaurant was a success! Many locals all greeting each other and the staff, made for a very friendly atmosphere. Service was quick, they offer pick-up/take-out and the foods were delicious. We were quite surprised by all the options available. Definitely something to please EVERYONE! My husband got the Baked Scrod Boat - it was huge and very good. I got the New York Sirloin Steak and as advertised it was "grilled to perfection".
We look forward to going back and sampling more dishes.

Exceptional service! Very sociable and attentive waitress, advised of specials before we had to ask. Prime rib was big and ended up being a meal for the next day. Many side choices! Shrimp Mozambique has the best tasting sauce. Drinks were very good as well. You get more than what you pay for, good value for cost. Definitely worth a ride!

The food was unexpectedly good! Like, I had driven by this place time and time again not knowing how amazing the food would be. I got a steak sandwich with some Portuguese fries and it was probably the best food I've ever had. They also have amazing rolls served with butter. We sat at the bar and watched the Ravens vs Texans game and the place was ALIVE with football fans. Definitely a great atmosphere but still appreciate how prompt and friendly the service was (even at the bar!) Thank you all for your wonderful service.

I've recently come across this restaurant, never knowing it was close to my house, located close to the Seekonk/ Rehoboth line on route 44. They have such high quality food and service. That being said, the service was phenomenal with both Jim and Kim behind the bar. They could not do enough to make sure that we... My son and I had enough food enough drink. And by the way, the drinks are very well put together and you're going to get your share of alcohol and each drink be prepared for a strong pour. ie A powerful drink. I found the food which has a Portuguese flare to it, but there other different styles of food. I think they have many choices for fish and meat dishes, I saw the daily scrod I believe it's called the boat a special meal with has scallops and shrimp with Ritz cracker and butter on top . Very impressively large plate and inexpensive as well. I still can't believe how much food you get for the low cost! Many of the dishes cannot be finished and prepare to take home some food. They're baked stuff Lobster was phenomenal. My friend had the swordfish which she could not finish. It was almost as big as a plate and then you have the w side as well . The Portuguese cuisine is above par for most Portuguese restaurants. As a matter of fact, probably the best I've ever had in the most amount of food that I have seen again for the price. If you're in the area, I highly recommend going here with a family or a friend. The owner is from the old Joseph's restaurant which was an icon in East Providence for several years. He's had a couple of other ventures and now he is in Massachusetts. Have a great dining experience. TC

Absolutely amazing food!!! Service is outstanding The best Portuguese food in the area. The Paiella is a great dish. The Portuguese Steak and the Shrimp Mozambique is the best I ever had. The seafood rice is absolutely legendary. Probably every dish you order you won't be disappointed. Even the rolls are amazing.

Really good food, huge portions, been many times and have yet to have a bad meal. Prime Rib yum, short ribs yum yum, the best carrots i have ever had. My husband loves the seafood rice. Tonight’s dinner, chicken parmigiana with penne, fish and chips, substituted the chips for the seafood rice. Best chicken parm i have ever had. Bread served with some kind of garlic dipping sauce that is out of this world. Reasonable prices, great drinks, excellent waitstaff. Recommend to make reservations.

One of our favorite restaurants. Food is excellent and the portions are big! Don't come here unless you are hungry.

1st off, walking into this restaurant the smell was out of this world!! You know the second that door opens that the food is going to be incredible!
We had no wait, we were shown right to a table.
The restaurant was decently full.
Waitress was over immediately to take our orders. We both got the Alive margarita which came out in a pint glass and was delicious!
We started with the stuffed mushrooms and I got a stuffie. Both were delicious!
For mains I got the Shrimp Zuppa and my love got the Bife A Portuguesea. Both were incredible!!
Service was some of the best ever and the food.. well go find out!! You're going to be glad you did! This has been on our list of places to try for quite some time. I'm so glad we finally made the trip!! We have leftovers for a whole other meal too! We will be back!!

I haven't been in New England in years even though I am from Taunton, MA. I stopped to get a bite to eat and the service was great! The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. I LOVE the Mozambique sauce! My waitress was precious! I had the steamers and they were fantastic! Great overall experience! I will be back!

We ate here for the first time tonight. We all were in the mood for different foods and we got them!
I had a chicken parmesan dinner that was so huge I could barely finish it. My wife had paelha while my son and daughter had a mushroom cheeseburger and Shrimp scampi. All of the food was delicious and cooked very well. The waitress was on top of our table making sure we had everything we needed. The price was completely reasonable. The portion sizes were enormous. This restaurant will not leave their customers hungry when they leave.
I would definitely recommend this place.

Cat, our server was so delightful and just so nice. Our food could not have been better. Chicken fingers are to die for. But the prime rib was INCREDIBLY good. Prime rib was so huge check out the pic. Thanks Cat for a great experience.

I Alive didn't miss a beat once I found out that Faelle's menu was offered once again in Rehobeth we had to go. I had the shrimp mozambique over seafood rice with garlic olive oil instead of the portuguese spicy red sauce. My wife had the lobster bisque and both dishes were cooked perfectly. Flavorful and plentiful. The waitress offered a variety of desserts, cheese cake, carrot cake, chocolate cake, to name a few. We had a huge marguarita glass of portuguese pudding. After all I ate I to take 1/2 of it home and had it the next day and it was just as good for an after dinner delight. So yes if you were a big Faelle's fan in Smithfield make the trip to I Alive. Its just like old times !

First time I’ve been here and plan on making it a regular spot. Staff was amazing, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. When we asked how the different dishes were prepared they were spot on like they were making the dinners themselves. Talk about bang for your buck. Starting with the drinks. My wife and I both had martinis the side car contained more than the serving glass, it was a 3 for 1. Cup of kale soup ( best ever) was a bowl. Can’t imagine how big the bowl is, probably a bucket. Portuguese steak was cooked to perfection just like I wanted. Rice with scallops and shrimp omg. Potatoes on point and the Faiale sauce for the top yumm. Wifey had same rice and potatoes with 2 thick bone in pork chops cooked to such perfection she used a butter knife to cut it. So much food we only ate half. Oh yeah awesome stuffies. Can’t wait to return.

iAlive is one of our favorite Portuguese/American food restaurants. The atmosphere is laid back, service friendly and accommodating, and the food and drinks outstanding. The portions on most meals allow you to bring home a complete meal for the next day. The price is fair. We have also used them for party platters.

Portuguese Food and More!!!! This restaurant is 100% satisfaction. The food is made to perfection and the prices are affordable- portions are great. You are greated with a hot bread basket with dipping sauce. The dinners are served hot by friendly waitstaff. You will not leave hungry. Kudos to the Chef and owner's!!!!

Great food! Huge portions. Friendly & fast service

First time here & won't be the last! BF had chicken parm and it was a giant portion but also one of the best he's ever had! I had baked scallops that were cooked perfectly. Don't miss that delicious Mozambique sauce to dip your bread in or use with your dinner! So good!

Love this place. Joseph is the nicest owner we have ever met. The food is delicious and always cooked the way you like it. I recommend trying this place to everyone.

Amazing Portuguese food and huge portions.
The pork chops come in a set of 2. Ask for it to be done medium rare as they can get overcooked.
The seafood rice is wonderful and I recommend it as the side starch. If you don't want that, the chips are good too - not too thin but still crisp and fluffy.
The seafood is fresh and tasty.
The chicken parm is a butterflied brined cutlet the size of a dinner plate and surprisingly good that has a relatively resilient crisp coating.
