Bay State Trading Post is a great group of gentlemen. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and responsive to questions about the ever changing laws in Massachusetts, and anything firearm related. Their prices are very reasonable and they work hard to keep a stocked inventory for their customers.

In the age where everyone is shopping online you just can't replace quality service; Bay State's team accesses your needs and guides you into purchasing the right item rather than trying to sell you into platform that is not going to be a good fit. They can order just about anything if they do not already have it readily available, and will ensure the end product is a flawless fit.

I've been shopping here for 8 years now, and have made many purchases, FFL transfers, and have used his professional gunsmithing services to include milling, bluing, and repairs. The work was performed with close attention to detail and exactly what I was expecting.

Bay State Trading post is a veteran owned small town gun shop, and is one of, if not the best firearm store that I've ever had the pleasure of being in! The owner D.J, and his Dad are top shelf! They are professional, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. They can deal with everything from your malfunctioning Red Ryder BB gun, right out to working with the tactical demands of military, and law enforcement. Simply the best all around!

Cool little place. Doesn't look like they have a huge inventory but looks like that have what you will need. I would check them out. Also looks like they do repairs and were very friendly and welcoming.

Unfathomable that someone wrote a negative review based on the store owner being friendly!! If you want impersonal service, head for your nearest big box store.

If want to have a nice "old time sporting goods store" experience with attentive staff, and an owner who goes out of his way to know his clientele, head for Bay State Trading!

Great gun shop! If the owner is BSn with someone when you go in, be patient, he will BS with you as long as it takes to answer your questions and help you with your purchase. Impressive thing is , the fist time I went, I was given the feeling I was a regular. Cannot say enough how Dave couples the old school friendliness and knowledge resulting in a satisfied customer. Bought three Henry rifles so far. Only negative I can think of is he won't get serious and part with one of his Winchesters...... Well, there is always next time.

I've been in there many times, I've purchased a gun, ammo, etc. They are friendly, not pushy, and full of great information. They took the time to help me make an informed decision in purchasing my next gun. I would highly recommend them as a top-notch source on ANY topic related to firearms!

A well supplied, diverse shop - new guns, old guns, from rifles to revolvers & semi-autos. Also ammo and plenty of ancillary gear. Dave and his staff are well informed, efficient and cool to talk with.
You may have to wait a few minuets if it's a busy day but the advice and information you get will be worth it. My "go to" gun shop !

Dave was Very attentive, knowledgable and friendly. I was very pleased with my buying experience they had a decent amount of handguns although I would of liked to see more variety. Would definitely recommend this place and will be going there again for sure!! Dave was awesome!!!

I attended the training course offered, it was thorough, fact based, and also provided enough time to ask many questions. As far as prices, I have had the opportunity to shop at many stores over the years (New Hampshire, as well as Massachusetts), Bay State has very competitive prices, you will become a return shopper guaranteed.

Just went in for the first time. The guy who owns it is a knowledgeable, friendly Marine veteran. He's not a pushy sales men just out to make a buck. If you wanna buy rifle or hand gun. His is the place to go.
