India Point Park

India Point Park is a small, really nice park on the water in Providence. It was recommended to us by someone in town and we were glad they told us about it. It's looks our at a shipping dock. There are short walking paths, green areas, docks you can walk out on. Picnic areas. On a nice weather evening it is a lovely place to be.

We enjoyed the fireworks 💥 on 7/3/2022 at this park. There were live band/music, food trucks and most importantly, the people and the positive vibes. There are no permanent restrooms at this park. There is extensive roadside parking along India Street adjacent to the park. However, it was all full and we found some place in neighborhood, and then walked over the pedestrian bridge over Rt. 195 - connecting the park to the neighborhood. You get to see the sweeping views of the Providence Harbor and Seekonk River. The lighted, paved & stone dust walking paths along the water adds to the beauty.

Glad to learn that In 1974, environmentalist Mary Elizabeth Sharpe pushed the city to turn the land into a public park that took its name from the maritime activity connecting Providence with the East and West Indies.

Did you know the fact related to Rhode Island “Rhode Island was the first of the 13 original American colonies to declare independence from British rule, doing so on May 4, 1776. This was two months before the official Declaration of Independence was signed by the 13 colonies on July 4, 1776.”

Beautiful park, wonderful space, multi uses. There are quiet spots under trees with benches, relaxing spots where you can put a blanket down and have a little picnic and watch the boats and birds on the water. There are picnic tables and also a really nice playground for younger and older children (not so much for babies/toddlers). Great pathways for jogging and skating and kids biking. Perfect for leisurely strolls. Also, there is parking.

Beautiful and peaceful park to go for a nice walk along the waterfront and there is also a really great playground and exercise court for the kids with a jungle gym!

Great place to take your dogs for a walk or walk on your own. It has nice view of the water. Fantastic place to take your family and have a picnic. they don't have a lot of tables so take a blanket or something to lay on ..nice huge lawn. Also i At the very end of the park is a nice playground for the kids.

Lovely little park with a ton of green space and a good view of the water.

Great park to walk bike or scooter around. It has a playground for kids and plenty of open grass fields to set up a space to hang out. The park is pretty clean as well. The only downside is there aren't any bathrooma

Very pleasant park with lots of shade for those hot days. Popular with family groups and fishers. Parking is limited, but it's easily accessible from Fox Point neighborhood. Kids' play area is small but super cool.

Went to a festival with my friend Panama. the weather was beautiful ! People on boats and jet skis.
Alot of people were having a good time,the bands that played were good , the sound system was also good. haven't been to a festival for a long time I was Happy to go

Absolutely beautiful park to walk in or ride electric scooter 🛴! Rhode Island is so beautiful 😍 this park is one of their amazing scenic historic places ! I spend hours here reading books as well!!!

Great Park for the whole family and to just come on a date. Very nice breeze off the water. Is always a Del's Lemonade van nearby. Lots of great folks with families usually here. Great spot for picnics. Brought my son here on the playground he loved it.

Nice sea view for Providence, RI city area.

It's perfect place to visit alone or with friends, family and spend quality time. Beautiful park, lovely views, and peaceful place. Parking is limited. This Park is closed in winter season due to safety reasons. It has walkways too. Some people do jogging and running, some play frisbee, some just sit and enjoy the serenity.

Playground walking path bike path sight seeing ocean views sculptures ect. Off street parking which is always good.

India Point Park is a family friendly park that you can bring the family too. Located about a mile from downtown and situated right on the water. It's nice and quiet and has a playground for the kids and has a picnic area with tables you can have lunch on it you could sit on one the many grassy areas or you could come here by yourself and just relax and get away for a while. There is also a walking path that is quite nice to walk on as it goes by the water. If you're driving there's plenty of parking. If you're looking for a place to get away for a while but still want to be in the city look no further than India Point Park.

Pla e so beautiful for a nice walk bike ride but it needs a public restroom definitely

The Park is awesome, I thank God every time I walk through India Park for allowing me the opportunity to enjoy such beauty.

The park is a nice relaxing place to put your chair out, have a picnic, do some people watching, over look the Bay! Best part it's free, and there's a bike path. 👍🏻✌🏻😎

Really beautiful park to walk on the trail and look at it's natural history.
