Excellent place, went on a recommendation. Cauliflower for app - delicious!, enough for two. Cowboy burger cooked perfectly. Service was top notch just missing introduction/name. Hard to give a shout out. Will definitely return! Outside dining too!

We have been coming here for years and they've always had delicious surf and turf. Our waiter was so kind and attentive, the food was perfect, we will be back.

Great place my wife and I have eaten here before and we returned today we got the Guinness stew and fish and chips and some apps food was great staff was great we asked last time we visited if we could get the owners info so we could see if they would mind if we did a food review on our YouTube channel David and jewls food reviews on you tube I sent out 2 emails last year never got a response it's sad because I think it would have been good for the restaurant due to the good food and workers but it is what it is guess they don't want the free advertising lol but great place great food and great staff

The place was packed on a Saturday night and came in with a party of 6 and was told it was an hour wait. Grabbed a beer at the bar and the bartender told us you can use the table in the corner if you're only ordering apps so we stayed there for 2 hours and ended up meeting the owner he sent over a tray of a half dozen shots and it goes on and on great place and great employees!

Wow! Amazing people and great food. The place was hoping, and the staff was in full control and treated everyone like family. I had the Guinness stew, and it was delicious! I highly recommended this place.

Another great meal with a great server, Kenzie. A bucket of steamers and the fried clams, fries and fish. All washed down with Smithwicks! Just Great.

Everything about this restaurant is amazing from the service to the outdoor patio. The fish and chips is off the charts. Fried calamari is perfect, although I would prefer banana peppers as at least roasted as opposed to raw jalapeños.

Fast and friendly efficient service. They were moderately busy and food came out hot and in a timely manner.

Been here twice now. Really lovely and kind staff, was really impressed by the bartenders friendliness. Food was great. Will definitely stop here again soon!

Tried the Chieftain in Plainville MA tonight. This Irish pub style restaurant was very homey with warm wood tones throughout. They did a great job with keeping up with all the rules and regulations in these changing times. They give complimentary Irish soda bread to start which was delicious. There was a limited menu (see pictures). We ordered New England clam chowder, callan steak (with mashed potatoes and carrots), and Dublin chicken pasta. Everything was delicious, the sole complaint was the steak was ordered medium but came out closer to well done and it had a bit of gristle and fat. 12 oz steak had about 6 oz of edible meat which was actually the perfect amount. Definitely a 9 out of 10. Really enjoyed our meals tonight.

My waitress Kelly H was the utmost professional. Friendly, accommodating, and she had a great personality. I had the clam bellies and I couldn't wait to dive in! They were so crisp, light, and not at all greasy. Great environment and plenty of parking. You won't regret stopping by.

This local watering hole was a nice place to go to unwind. The menu options were pretty good and the service was exceptional overall.

I had this corned beef sandwich it was amazing and my boyfriend had the pot roast dinner I had 1 bite of that and it melted in my mouth and I will be getting that next time for sure.

My husband and I threw a rehearsal dinner for 30 people on the porch this weekend. The staff was so accommodating, the food and drinks were great and timed well, no easy feat on a Friday night of a holiday, weekend! We had the best time and are very impressed with the Chieftan and it's staff!

Interesting pub selection, and it seems homemade, not trucked in. Lots of Irish fair, but other choices too. Music was too loud for those trying to talk. Wonderful Irish soda bread! Accommodating for food restrictions.

Very nice Irish bar. Take out was very fast & efficient. A lot of staff for bar side. Burger came with mayonnaise & Irish soda bread. Cool mix!

Fantastic place for a mid-afternoon snack and a pint. Great traditional Irish fare with a bit of a local twist.

Everything was absolutely fantastic. The food and the staff were both amazing. We live pretty far away but will definitely be coming back!

Our softball team (parents and kids) took over the patio mid-afternoon on a Saturday. Great food and service.

I've been going to the Chieftain pub for 10+ yrs now. It's a fun place and the food is always spot on.
