My pet rabbit was able to be scheduled for an emergency visit when my normal vet was unable to have her come in that day. Lola was able to come in within a few hours and receive amazing care from Dr. Peterson. We’ve continued to take her there since to continue healing her issue. Very comfortable setting, clean without being too clinical. I’m very happy with Oceanside!

A huge thank you to the incredibly talented and compassionate Dr. Sarah Lord and the amazing staff at Oceanside Animal Hospital. While on vacation, my standard poodle Jazmine had to be seen unexpectedly immediately, and the Oceanside Animal Hospital staff gave her an urgent care appointment within 10 minutes. Upon arriving there was no wait, and Dr. Lord saw her, diagnosed and treated her and kept me informed during the entire visit. Jazmine is back to her normal self enjoying her favorite place, the beach. Oceanside Animal Hospital is amazing, I give them my highest recommendation! With gratitude, thank you!

Oceanside Animal Hospital’s staff is absolutely amazing. They are compassionate, responsive, and professional. We’ve been seeing them for years for our exotics (Guinea pigs). Highly recommend!!

This is the only vet I will bring my exotics to. I trust these vets with the care of my animals and they have done a fantastic job and I am very impressed with how caring they are with each and every pet that is brought in there. They help me weigh the pros and cons of treatment my animals might need and they explain every part of the process to me before they do it, it’s definitely recommended to bring your exotics here, my 2 bearded dragons, bunny, and multiple Guinea pigs would say the same!

My pet rat needed to be seen and I called probably 15 other offices who either couldn't see us or didn't see rats. Oceanside got us in that day and were amazing. Now I have adopted 2 kittens and chose to bring them there even though it's about 40 minutes away from me. The drive is worth it to know they'll be so well taken care of.

The vets sit on the floor so that your pet can acclimate to them while they talk to you about your concerns. They listen and explain your options in a simple clear manner. They are upfront about costs and compared to the other vet I went to, Oceanside is reasonable and way less. I’ve always been able to schedule urgent visits that day or very soon depending on the situation. The office is efficient and gets back to you. In some situations they let you follow via email or through the patient portal. Highly recommend Oceanside!

If you have an anxious dog, this veterinary hospital is for you!

The last vet I took my dogs to was a VCA and it was unsettling how disorganized they were. So when my dog injured her paw, I was worried where to bring her. My dog has phobias when it comes to loud noises and unfamiliar places, so her anxiety was also a concern of mine.
Right away, when I called to inquire about appointments, Nicole was very friendly and kind. She addressed all of my concerns and I was able to bring Sophie in quickly. I wish I knew her name, but the vet tech that took Sophie in and out was so caring, and affectionate towards Sophie. She was very patient with her, and took the time to help Sophie unwind and relax. That meant the world to me. Once Sophie was inside, Dr.Jensen gave Sophie a thorough exam. She called me to discuss and we went over bloodwork from her previous vet, who did not even tell me Sophie had Lyme, discussed her paw injury and treatment options, and answered all of my questions and concerns in a very thoughtful and kind manner. I did not feel rushed whatsoever, and I really appreciate Dr.Jenssen's wealth of knowledge, care and concern for Sophie. I will be recommending OAH to my family, friends and clients. It is hard to find a veterinary practice who is this behavior savvy. I absolutely recommend bringing your dog here, especially if they struggle with anxiety. Sophie says thank you for all of the help, love and treats :-)

Thank you to the wonderful staff at OAH!

My family started bringing my ferrets to Oceanside Animal Hospital recently. Both of our ferrets are old and have health problems. The whole experience has been great. The hospital is clean and all of the staff were kind and caring. The doctor took her time explaining everything and answering questions. They did an amazing job with my ferrets and the cost was very reasonable. Last Friday my ferret had an office visit, a blood test and received special food he needs and antibiotics for $200.00. I find that extremely reasonable. We will recommend Oceanside for sure!

We had an amazing experience with Dr. Peterson and the rest of the lovely staff for an urgent visit. They were amazing with my nervous rescue pup.

Such an amazing group of people that work here. We’ve had to visit Oceanside twice during our yearly vacation to the Cape, once for our bearded dragon and now for our porti. We wish we could package the whole office up and move you to our hometown! Thanks for everything Oceanside!

My poor cat, Clarisse, had gotten some serious fur mats during the pandemic and not many places were accepting new clients. A lot of groomers also felt my cat was too rowdy, which didn't pair well with how close to her skin some of these mats were. Luckily, Oceanside was able to make an appointment for my cat just two days after I called, when many places were asking me to wait for weeks. Now my cat is freshly shaved and happy back at home, and I will certainly be making sure those mats don't re-surface! Thank you to everyone at Oceanside for taking good care of Clarisse. She seems much happier without the mats weighing her down and I'm so thankful for your service!

There was an accident with my pet bird and I needed to get him checked out immediately. I called other vets and nobody could see him. I called Oceanside and they offered to take a look with short notice. They were quick to discover a broken bone in the wing, which requires immediate attention. Every employee was very nice and professional. Dr. Blake and Dr. Esmond were very patient with me as I tried to decide what was best for my pet. Dr. Blake even contacted avian vets in the New England area to help give me all of the options possible. Oceanside has a great team and I would trust them with any pet that I have in a heartbeat!

I can't say enough about how compassionate & helpful Oceanside Animal Hospital was during my recent visits with my two chickens, Rose & Gloria.
The outcome for Rose was wonderful but for my other girl Gloria I had to unfortunately make the decision to euthanize. For many people they wouldn't understand that although my pets are chickens it is still painful & emotional.
Dr Esmond & the entire staff were so kind to me even as I apologized & worried that I seemed silly.
They were also clear about the cost of everything along the way. I always felt like I had all the information I needed.
Thank you! I feel confident knowing I have somewhere to turn with concerns in the future.

Clean and friendly clinic. All staff were friendly. Waiting rooms provide a relaxing environment for nervous pets and pet parents. Doctors and assistants were knowledgeable and took my concerns seriously and helped me with understanding and solutions. Went for a yearly check up for my guinea pigs and was surprised how calm and happy they were around the vet and assistants since they are usually both very nervous. I felt the staff genuinely cared about my pets and this made me very happy.

We have been taking our animals to Oceanside for the last two years, and I can't say enough good things about the quality of their care. Drs. Blake and Kennedy along with the whole staff are kind, compassionate, and very responsive. They were especially helpful to us these last few months as both our elderly dogs declined and eventually died of cancer. They provided good advice and options for care and helped us as we wrestled with what to do for each animal. I'm very grateful that we have these wonderful vets in our town!

This animal hospital is filled with amazing people who care deeply about pets and their owners! We arrived on the Cape (for vacation) with a dying bearded dragon and these wonderful, educated and professional people saved her! (And no, we didn’t know she was dying!) Not only did they conduct thorough examinations of our beardie, but they discussed proper husbandry for our pet’s future! Although “Spike” is a lizard (not a dog or cat) they treated her as though she was the most important pet in the world. We were very emotional about maybe losing her and the staff were so compassionate. We cannot thank Dr. Blake, Summer, Nicole and the rest of the staff enough! We just wish they would build a satellite office in our state! What will we (and Spike) do without them? Thank you again!

The staff at Oceanside are extremely sweet, kind and caring. I think the prerequisite for a job there is a super cheery disposition. Very qualified and knowledgeable. I have known Dr. Blake in many settings over the years. Caring for our bunny, then our cats and now our dog too, she is the best. I don't trust anyone else. I am now meeting the other Veterinarians Dr. Kane and Dr. O'Donnell and they are equally as awesome! I highly recommend this practice.

Who brings a hamster to the vet? We did. He had some sort of infection on his leg and it looked painful. After calling multiple places Oceanside was able to help him. He got antibiotics and pain killers and is doing so much better. I would definitely go back. Will probably start bring my dog here now that we found them. The lady that answers the phone, Lisa, seems super caring and professional. Thanks Oceanside

I am so grateful that I was referred to Oceanside. My Gus is a rescue that suffers from severe fear aggression and I have been very hesitant to bring him to the vet. Dr. Blake and the entire staff have been so sympathetic and understanding to Gus' needs. They take their time with him and make sure that he does not feel intimidated or scared. I have seen huge strides with Gus and him being more social.
I can't thank OAH enough for their knowledge, understanding and compassion that they have shown Gus and I.
Would highly recommend Oceanside Animal Hospital to any pet owner but especially owners that have pets that have behavioral issues and special needs.

They are the only vets in the area who see exotic pets (bet you didn't know rabbits were exotic) and I'm so grateful for them. My rabbit had the best care for cancer and when she passed. I love these guys and can't thank them enough.
