The Robinson Cemetery is a very small cemetery behind the Central Congregational Church. Even though it is a small cemetery it has some very interesting grave stones hand carved before 1800. The stone for James Pullen (1785) is somewhat unique in that the soul effigy in the tympanum at the top of the stone shows not only his head with wings but also his shoulders and upper torso. There are good examples of a variety of carvers and most of the stones in this small cemetery are in good condition. Unfortunately, when I photographed the stones most were in the shadows. It is well worth a visit if you are in the area.
