Rico's Subs & Pizza

Note: This review is based on a single Turkey grinder, so the star rating may or may not change on the next visit.

Another place I've passed by in my life more times than I can remember. This time Rico's was right in view at 6PM on a day I had yet to eat. Hunger took the wheel and parked me at Rico's front door.

I was in a sensible (sort of) frame of mind. Ordered a large turkey sub with provolone and the works. When the counter kid said $14-something something it struck me as a little pricey, even in the current economy. Maybe they were trying to fund a facelift for the outside...

Then he handed me a very long sandwich - less than five minutes later - and I changed my mind. Started to wonder if I'd been under-charged.

It was big.

How big? Sixteen Inches big. Stuffed with turkey and all the grinder-fixings on a gorgeous roll. Super nice, chewy-soft bread.

Rico's is of the "Chopped Toppings School" of sandwich making. Usually I am not a fan - I prefer sliced tomatoes, onions, etc because they don't roll out of the sub. Rico's chops the topping on the small side, however, and they do a good job staying inside.

All in all it was a banging grinder. Moist turkey slices and lots of them. Just the right touch of mayo. I'm sold - check back here after I've had a pizza or chicken parm. Probably same time next week...

I stopped on my way home from work tonight to pick up something quick for dinner. I ordered a tuna club with curly fries. Service was good. When I got home and opened my container I was shocked at how much food was in it, Curly fries cooked to perfection. A tuna club also made to perfection. It was so good! Didn’t have room to finish everything so I have a half of a club for tomorrow. thank you Riccos for a delicious dinner.

Ordered 2 large Italian subs with everything; including 'hots'.
One for me - huge, satisfaction guaranteed for me! The only place I know that I am getting a "real" Italian sub! It has everything I want on it. The combo of pickles, tomatoes, lettuce and onion is perfect. The "hots" are the frosting on the cake!
No matter where I go other than Rico's I'm disappointed 😞 . Its been this way for years. I wish it weren't true as i no longer live close by - am in Rhode Island. Long ride to get a Rico's sub. Fortunately even with changing times, ownership they never disappoint! To N. Attleboro i go.

They make the absolute best salads! The amount of food for the price is very good. You won’t be disappointed.

No frills decor, the space could use some inspiration, it is a classic roadside style that could be a fun design project but enough about that. The meatball sub is delicious, it reminded me of being in the North End of Boston back when it was such an Italian neighborhood. It is the best meatball sub I have had in years, not the absurd oversized mushy meatballs you get at some subshops. It was so yummy I went back for another.

Food is always good. People are always friendly. They do a good job

Old school place I used to go to as a kid, and I will tell you one thing. The service and people around have NEVER been less than perfect. I could always count on this place on my teens, and as an adult, I will always stand by the great flavor and variety of hearty town-cooked pies.

Just had the Cheeseburger sub (toasted). Wow! Best cheeseburger sub I’ve ever had. Rico’s speciality is subs, but I was really impressed with the pizza this time too. The staff has turned over from several years ago, and they were extremely friendly and accommodating. The salads are crazy good as well!

I love Rico's. I am a regular customer who loves their subs and pizza's. I am addicted to their onion and mushroom pizza. Their crust is the best!! They have always been so kind and friendly to me and I've never had to wait.

Pizza Shop that looks like any other. The difference is in the quality and preparation of the food. Specifically, the subs are amazing. Give this place a shot, they might become your new go to place for pizza and subs.

So I used to have a shop around the corner about 10 years ago down a couple of streets away at the old jewelry factory. I used to get subs every once in awhile from here and thought they were great. I recently went back in because I am remodeling a bathroom for one of my customers on Smith Street about 2 minutes away from this place. Rico's is just as unbelievable as I remember it 10 years ago. The subs that they have are great as pretty much any sub places but here is my little inside info, the jumbo sub that they call a large, is basically two small subs The thing is massive and very well worth the money I can't believe that the size sub for a normal large price is even available. either way if you want a whole another meal from your sub order the jumbo! Thank you Rico's for being awesome and keep up the good work and I hope many people will keep your legacy alive.

The pizza and calzones so yummy - mushroom is our fave! Subs are huge..with tons of meat. Bread is nice and fresh. Love the Greek salad too! Owner is awesome..big supporter of local sports teams...go to Rico's you won't be disappointed!!!

Ordered a large chicken cutlet, Antipasto, and Italian sub.. the Chicken Cutlet is easily the best in the area, the Salad and house Greek dressing was incredible, and I don't think I've ever tasted a better Italian sub. I grew up in Providence, I know good food.. and this place has it!

30 years after my first steak sub here and I'm still loving it. Great job keeping this thing going!

I travel all over the country all year long and eat pizza or at Steakhouse’s. Tonight i ordered a pizza from here for delivery. Im extremely picky about pizza but I gotta say, the pizza here was amazing, definitely in my top 5. Just the right amount of toppings, flavor was of the charts, and not too thin or too thick. Thanks for a great pizza.

It's not bad, good pizza, love the blt sub, when you get the bacon well done. Steak cheese, and, mushroom is delicious also. I've been going crazy lately, for the meatball sub with palmetto cheese toasted garlic roll. It's the bomb 💥💥💥

Good portions, good prices. I like their sausage and meatball sub. Some places use pizza sausage for their sins but not this place. They use the good stuff. The meatballs are pretty good too. The steak and cheese is good as well. Again
