Route Twenty Eight Diner

Tiny but mighty this diner was great! Packed with families and couples, their menu had many choices to offer and very reasonable prices. My husband had the chocolate chip pancakes and they were large and filled with chips. I had the sausage and pancakes which were very tasty. The staff was friendly and attentive. Decor was nostalgic with a jukebox, model cars on the window sills, car key drapes in the windows, and license plates all over the walls. Definitely give this little gem a try!

We love Diners, and this one was fantastic! Had a late breakfast. The hash eggs Benedict was amazing. The service and atmosphere were great. Music was playing through a replica jukebox.

This was a small retro diner located in Yarmouth. We wanted a quick breakfast spot and googled a few options. We came across this place and it had the vibe we were looking for. 1950ish retro style. Service was great, super fast, food cooked well. They are under new management. They are doing very well.

All I have to say its omg my number one restaurant after eating this amazing corn bread Benedict!🤤🤤 to die for! I will come back over and over... the price and service was excellent... they take pay pal... variety in menu, tomorrow going for lemon puppy pancakes and another round of good food...

Service was great, food was very good, and atmosphere was very nice. I got “The 28 Plate”. Sorry I didn’t get a picture before I started to eat it. Was just the right amount of food.

Went during quarantine so had to order from the window and pick up to go but the food was good and service nice. I got the Big Nick cheeseburger and my wife had the grilled cheese with ham...would do it again

Love the license plates on the walls and ceilings! The food was great, and plenty of it! Hope to get back to the diner soon!

So..what kind of breakfast are you looking for! I just wanted a local place that serves a good breakfast. This was my first visit to this place and I got what I came for. It wasn’t fancy. Decor was 50’s themed. There is not a ton of seating, but enough for about 10 tables, for groups of four. There is also a single seating area on classic dinner stools. Staff was a small, but attentive and very nice.
What was refreshing, is the portions and price. You will walk away full but not stuffed. Portions are perfect so you are not walking away uncomfortable. The prices were more than reasonable. Breakfast was about $28 plus tip for my wife and I. Two omelets hash browns, side of bacon and side of cauliflower home fries and coffee.
So if you’re looking for a good breakfast at a good price with a friendly staff then give them a try. The price alone will bring me back.

Adorable place. Excellent hearty food. Bacon is wide slices with a lot of meat vs fat. Egg, avocado & cheese breakfast sandwich was delicious.

Superior in every way to Pancake Man. Irish Eggs Benedict are excellent. Great staff. Classic diner motif. Great spot.

Went twice on my long weekend with my family. Breakfast was exactly what you'd want and the prices were fair. Eggs were cooked perfectly, scrambled, poached, and fried. They have a few specialty types, like corn bread eggs Benedict, and it was amazing. Lemon poppy pancakes were fluffy and refreshing. The wait staff were nice and helpful. The restaurant was clean, which is honestly half the battle at this point. My 5 year old son enjoyed his food as well. I can't recommend this place enough. We tried other places here and they just don't stand up. Next time we come to the Cape, this will be the only breakfast place we go to.

Great food, atmosphere, and prices. Awesome place for a Sunday breakfast. It has a really cool retro vibe which makes it stand out from the street. It's on the smaller side, so you're never forgotten about by the wait staff. It's bright inside, with lots of light. They serve breakfast all day, have early bird breakfast specials until 7:30 a.m., and also start serving lunch at 11:00. I'll definitely be back!

I'm only leaving 5 stars because I used to love this place. The new management cut down the portion sizes significantly and increased the prices. This diner used to be a busy spot and whenever I drive by now it's dead compared to they way it used to be. They might be making more money per customer now but they have lost so so many customers this year I doubt it's going to stay open much longer 😔

One of my favorite breakfast restaurants! The food is always delicious and just the right size. Plus it’s super affordable. Our servers are alway top notch and wicked friendly. My wife likes the Irish Benedict and I like the kielbasa breakfast sandwich and sticky bun (not the sticky bun waffle which I’ve heard is quite good) They always have fun and interesting specials and the pepperoni hash was incredible (bring back the pepperoni hash!) CASH ONLY.
