We were in town for a wedding and found this gem! Our first bed and breakfast experience and we were pleasantly surprised how clean, thoughtful the spaces are AND the breakfast is amazing!

Well done John and Lisa, we will be back!

This place is terrific. The owners, John and Lisa, do a great job. Rooms were updated, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. The location has proximity to some of the best parts of the Cape. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed at the Tern Inn for a wedding nearby, and it was an incredible experience. The breakfast was AMAZING - I can't eat gluten and I felt so well taken care of with all of the gluten free options they presented to me. The room in the carriage house was lovely, clean, and quiet. There are also some furry friends who are in the main house who were so sweet. All in all, an amazing stay and I highly recommend it!!

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, quiet yet convenient for traveling to other towns at Cape Cod. It’s walking distance to a cute beach and the bike ride was so memorable! The breakfast was delicious as well as nutritious! John and Lisa are warm and accommodating. I'm glad that I chose to stay at Harwich instead of Chatham. I've already recommended it to one of my coworkers here in California 😊

We traveled to the Cape for the first time last week and stayed here. We were very happy with our choice: accommodations were clean and comfortable, breakfasts were delicious and featured good variety, and the innkeepers were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The location was central to many of the best sites and restaurants, and we hope to make it back sometime. Highly recommend!

This was one of the most pleasant stays I’ve ever had! John and Lisa are amazing, very hospitable, knowledgeable of the area, able to recommend things to do, places to eat, and more. Breakfast was wonderful each day. Room was spacious, clean, and very cozy! Location was great, and John and Lisa’s attention to detail was topnotch! Would most definitely recommend staying here.

Our first but definitely not our last stay at the Tern Inn! A wonderful spot in a residential neighborhood. The room was just perfect....and immaculate! A quick (10 minute or less) walk to the beach. A more than delicious breakfast! What more could anyone ask for. We stayed several days toward the end of June. John and Lisa are the perfect hosts....even got a chance to meet their adorable visiting grandchildren! Can't wait to return to this gem!!

John and Lisa were very welcoming to our family when we were on the cape for a wedding this past weekend. Short walk to the beach and they have bikes, chairs and other things you can use at the beach. Rooms are clean and offer a lot of space and breakfast each morning was delicious. Will definitely plan to stay here on future trips to the cape

We stayed at The Tern Inn for a long weekend. We have stay at other B & Bs but found John and Lisa to be most gracious and hospitable. The rooms are clean and the grounds kept impeccable. They offer beach chairs and bikes to use and an delightful breakfast every morning. After learning we were celebrating our anniversary, they had placed a bottle of champagne in our room and a note with warm wishes. We are happy to hear they have event weekends over the winter months and we plan to be there!

We recently stayed at the Tern Inn and were so happy with our visit! The owners went above and beyond to accommodate our family. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Temperature control was spot on with individual heat/cool units that were super quiet and efficient. Amenities included a microwave, refrigerator, snack basket and wonderful smelling soaps, shampoos and conditioners. There was plenty of parking. The grounds were well kept and offered us a pool, seating on the lawn, a cozy fire on the patio and cornhole. Our breakfast each morning had so many choices and the breakfast special cannot be missed! The owners are the nicest people and I felt like I was at my home away from home. We also loved the fact that we could comfortably walk to Pleasant St beach. This is a town beach with lifeguards and bathrooms, not too big and not too small. Within minutes by car you can do mini golf, batting cages, trampolines, water bumper cars, shopping in Harwichport and of course - ice cream at Sundae School. 5+ stars for sure!!

We stayed here in January for a long weekend and loved our stay! The inn keepers Dan and Sue were wonderful hosts and had great stories to tell about the inn's history. Make sure to stay for the breakfast, the colonial style room and food were a nice touch. We are happy to have stayed and look forward to coming back to stay on our next visit to the Cape.

Dan and Sue are the best hosts that my wife and I have met during our B&B stays. They are wonderful people, who care about their guests, and will provide excellent, customized, dinner and travel recommendations on the Cape. Their breakfast offerings are superb and very satisfying; and the rooms are very comfortable and clean.

My wife and I stayed at the Tern Inn back in September. We had some travel arrangements fall through, affecting our travel plans on the Cape. Sue and Dan went beyond their duties as our hosts to help us with alternative arrangements and suggested activities. I did worry that they might have lost more sleep worrying about our predicament than we did. Thanks to their help and advice we did not lose a day to our error.
Dan and Sue are great and friendly hosts as the other reviews attest. Breakfast is quite social with chance to mingle with the hosts and other guests. It is a good chance to go over your plans with the hosts. I can confirm Dan's cooking is tasty.
Otherwise the room was comfortable and clean. The location is good and fairly central, with a beach 15 mins away and Harwich main street a 5 min drive.
Good luck Dan and Sue, we really enjoyed our stay M &J from Australia

My wife and I have stayed at the beautiful Tern Inn several times and continue to be impressed with how spotless the accommodations are and how Dan and Sue provide such a fantastic breakfast time after time. (The coffee is the best I have ever tasted. Sue’s secret blend.)
All in all another great experience. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Dan and Sue.

How lucky we were to choose The Tern Inn. Our cottage was so nice. It had everything you could possibly need . The best part of our stay was meeting Dan and Sue. They really care about their guests. We loved listening to Sue’s stories. Dan’s breakfasts were delicious! We dream about his blueberry pancakes and French toast. What a beautiful inn run by 2 amazing people. Thank you Dan and Sue for everything. We miss you and hope we can return next year.

We have been staying at the Tern Inn for many years. Two years ago, new Inn owners Dan and Sue breathed new life into the Inn. The Tern Inn is a great family location as well as for couples and singles. The property is lovely, the pool area newly renovated and a great spot to cool off after a day at the beach. The rooms in the Carriage House and Main House are immaculate and furnished with great new A/C units, efficient refrigerators and microwaves. Breakfast is lovely and a real treat - homemade blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, cereal, muffins and yogurt greeted us one morning! The Tern Inn is conveniently located off of Rt. 28, near great restaurants, Cape Cod baseball and the beaches. You can't go wrong at the Tern Inn. Many guests are repeat visitors!

Dan and Sue have an immaculate and welcoming B&B- one of the nicest places I have ever stayed! They are the consummate hosts, even when it's a very unexpected turn of events that lands you at their door. 🙄 If you're looking for a charming, peaceful spot from which to launch your time at the Cape, you've found it at the Tern Inn!
