Hertz Car Rental - Phoenix - Sky Harbor Airport

My experience was over the top.
1st time with Hertz and now my #1 car rental business. Rental agent was friendly, courteous and super knowledgeable. I was in and out in record time, great car easy process.

We need to take the train from arrival terminal to rental car center. Its quite fast and easy.

The queue was almost empty. Check-in process was easy and smooth. There are many cars for us to choose.

Car just as advertised. Few sings in it but nothing deal breaking. Staff helpful with questions. Only thing to add is that if you reserve a Tesla, the staff said there’s no guarantee there’s a household plug in the trunk due to a back order Whys this important? Because if there’s no charging area near you there will be a limit in your driving. There WAS one in my vehicle so I was ok. It’s a good backup for overnight charging ( very slow charge so don’t use it for primary charge).
Overall. I’d rent again and Hertz makes it a good experience.

Lines were short and everyone was very helpful especially Martin who upgraded us to a larger car after learning about our travel plans, he also gave us recommendations of what to do in the area, overall service was great and everyone was very kind and helpful!! First time renting a car and they made the whole process very simple!

A quick shout out to thank Martin for his help this morning at PHX Hertz.. Airport was a mess, Hertz line was gigantic..
When i get to the area for my vehicle, there was nothing suitable for my group.. Martin noticed I looked a bit dismayed and politely asked if there was anything he could help with.... once i explained the situation he found a way to get me taken care of and on my way. A true professional, and a credit to his company. Thx again Martin, made my day!

I have been traveling more than ever this year, and have never left a review for a car rental, but my experience was so wonderful here, that I felt I must. This was by far the best rental experience that I have had. The amount of luggage I arrived with would not fit in an economy rental that I had reserved, so they upgraded me to a four door, so I could fit everything in the car. I was blown away by how helpful and kind the staff were. There was no wait to pick up or to drop off and the entire process was headache free. I will definitely be using Hertz again the next time I fly into Phoenix. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
The shuttle system to and from the airport was simple. All you need to know is if you are going to terminal 3 or 4. Only had a 10 minute wait for the next shuttle to arrive.

Reserved a rental for 9/23 at 7am, upon arrival we noticed the vehicle I reserved wasn’t there. The young woman behind the counter ensured us it’s being cleaned thoroughly and would be brought up shortly. We waited maybe 15-20 minutes and sure enough, it was brought up and COMPLETELY spotless inside and out. This was our second time renting from Hertz at Sky Harbor and they’ll for sure being getting our business in the future. The woman behind the counter was willing to answer all questions and had a fantastic personality. While our vehicle wasn’t available right away, I’ll never complain about waiting for a freshly cleaned rental. Already looking forward to next time!

This review is really for the Flagstaff Hertz location. I picked up my car at Sky Harbor and on my way to Flagstaff I realized something was very wrong with the car. I contacted Michael McGuire at the Flagstaff location. There was no way we could make it before they closed so he said he would wait for us. We made the switch to a car that worked and it made our trip so much better. Great customer service.

We experienced a slight delay in picking up the car, but overall, we were pleased with the service. The vehicle we received was in great condition, and the staff members were courteous and helpful. We appreciate the positive experience, Hertz. Thank you.

Took the train from the arrivals area. Great clean ride overlooking the airport. Short wait and rental check in was easy and the service was amazing. Lisa S took care of us and explained everything and was never pushy, we headed down to the area to choose a vehicle of our choice. However the vehicle we were booked for wasn’t available, so an attended in the booth got us upgraded. The Polestar 2 was new and clean on pickup. It was simple and easy! Upon drop off. Was also seamless. Drove in quick check on the car and was on our way. This was one of the best rental experiences I’ve had. Will rent again. Recommended!

Lisa, at the Sky Harbor location was wonderful! She was so attentive to our needs and gave us premier customer service. The most pleasant experience ever when renting a car because of Lisa.

Easy in and easy out. Nice being a 5 star member, easy process. However, I realized that the electric Mercedes SUV is not a car I would buy. Low range and slow charge: bad combo for an electric vehicle.

When you have twelve or so desks and there is a long line waiting why are only four desks staffed? This needs improvement.

That being said; once it was our turn the whole proces was very smooth. The person helping us, sorry forgot your name, helpful and to the point.

One female staff member was very kind and made us laugh. She explained the rule clearly and I really could rely on her. I believe the Hertz Car Rental makes your trip better.

I had recently dropped off my car but realized I had left something behind. I quickly returned to the agent who had assisted me during the drop-off process. His name was REX and he was incredibly helpful and proactive in helping me locate my missing item. He went above and beyond to make my experience a positive one. REX even contacted his manager, who was also extremely helpful in resolving the situation. Overall, I was impressed with the outstanding customer service provided by both REX and his manager.

I picked up a car at the Hertz in Sky Harbor Airport and the experience was excellent. My family and I walked up and were greeted by a very nice lady (Felicia I believe her name was). She welcomed me and my family to Arizona and gave us all bottles of water which we greatly needed. She took us to the door and told us exactly where we needed to go to pick up our reserved car. There were 5 of us plus lots of luggage, thank God we got the Suburban. It was clean and full of gas. Must have been new because it still had all the protective film on parts of the interior. Pick up was easy and dropping the car off was just the same. That is why I only use Hertz.

Hertz at Phoenix sky harbor was fantastic. We had numerous problems with Dollar ultimately causing us to cancel our reservation with them. We were able to book with Hertz within 5 minutes and Cynthia was very helpful, polite, professional and quick. Best price, clean, and brand new car available immediately.

Excellent staff. Don’t understand the complaints. Had a flat tire and they exchanged cars in under 2 hours.

My husband and I had a great experience at the Phoenix airport Hertz, particularly due to a customer service experience from Raed. We both said that he was the most pleasant and kind employee from a car rental company that we have ever encountered. He started our trip off in a great way! Great customer service, both checking in to use the vehicle and upon returning it as well! Good vehicle selection, price, and love that I can use my Visa debit card with them! I've used Budget a number of times now and they're ALWAYS my first choice- reserving online or with their app is really easy too.
