Captain Scott's Seafood Restaurant

A Hidden gem in Sandwich, where the prices are reasonable, the portions are good, great quality food and the staff is attentive and friendly. This was my first time here in eight years. All of the changes are awesome . We were a party of three adults and two children. We mostly had seafood, including the whole belly clam plate that was on special for $24.99. The food was great and our waitress was very nice. If we had room for dessert, I think we would’ve got the carrot cake, it was about four layers, which I spotted in the dessert case as we walked in. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying the new outdoor bar, this is going to be a great place to meet friends and relax with a summer drink. I live within walking distance and I think this will my new go-to place this summer!

Fabulous food!! Steaming hot!! I never eat fries but these wide ,fat crispy on the outside but soft potato on the inside a meal in them selves!! Jill our Server was a pleasure. Always a smile , prompt service, very attentive, took the time to listen and met our needs. The cook even took the time to come and chat with us at our table. A family restaurant who showed that they care about their customers and also spoke highly of his workers . I would recommend it highly.

We had a fantastic dinner. I had the sea scallops with Alfredo sauce and spinach. The pasta was freshly made and the dish was delicious. My husband had the scallop and haddock with newburg sauce and he said it was also delicious. The waitress was very cheerful and friendly!

The food and service were fabulous. The restaurant itself feels a little dated, but I went with 5 stars because I wasn't there for the aesthetics. The food was hot, cooked perfectly, and flavorful. The staff were attentive, and friendly. Great find. They do offer patio seating.

I grew up in the Boston area, and my family often camped on the Cape during the summers. This the type of place we would go to for inexpensive dinners out to give my mom a break from cooking. It’s no frills, but the people are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food is a solid value for the price. My partner has celiac, and even though they only have a few items listed as gluten free on the menu, their hostess went out of her way to try to answer his questions about whether other items on the menu could be ordered gluten-free. The service in general was outstanding. I don’t need to eat gluten free, and I highly recommend their lobster roll special, which comes with fries and a cup of lobster bisque. That lobster rolls was loaded with lobster, and very little mayo, as it should be! The roll was grilled perfectly. What a treat and for an affordable price. We also got beet salads…if you love beets(as I do) it’s great…a huge mound of sliced pickled beets on a bed of greens, and that’s it, for about half the price of a more elaborate beet salad in other places. The authentic Greek salad was also fantastic. Definitely stop by if you are looking for a solid, inexpensive seafood meal in Sandwich. We loved it!

Whether or not you were dining in or planning a romantic picnic at the Canal, Captain Scott’s is there to set the mood. Authentic Greek salads all the way down to the hot buttered lobster roll. The chef and staff are friendly and happy and very informative of the area. They have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages for your pleasure. Their wine list is amazing! A must see

This is a charming restaurant with friendly attentive staff and amazing food with a Mediterranean flair. My daughter and I stopped by for early Sunday lunch looking for local seafood after a hike in nearby state forest. We brought our dog into the outside garden patio area and our server could not have been kinder and more pleasant - really capped our weekend off perfectly.

I tried the roasted sole with eggplant on bed of wilted spinach and rice which came in ample portion and was out of this world. I would also recommend the flourless chocolate cake with raspberry jam layer which is baked on premises. We will go out of our way to return to this gem on our next visit to the Cape -and I hope we find our same server to chat with again - this family atmosphere and care is the heart and soul of a great restaurant!

Yum. We got a seat in an alcove by ourselves. On a Sunday night in early February it was very quiet and the food was great. Baked stuffed haddock and the shrimp scampi were delicious. It’s the kind of place locals keep to themselves.

Love Captain's! Cannot say enough good things about their food. We live about three miles away and have eaten there many times.

Our new go to for lunch as soon as we get in town. Best lobster roll I've had by far. Nice and tender, lots of clump meat. No rubbery overcooked lobster here. Will come back again!

Wonderful restaurant off the beaten path. No crowds. Very sweet cheerful waitress. Helpful with the menu which is extensive. Lots of seafood choices some Greek and Italian dishes as well. Sit inside or outside. Great value for our meal. Crab cakes were delicious. Lots of parking and no price to park.

I absolutely love Captain Scott's. My go to is the scallop roll, although I enjoy many items on their menu. The outdoor bar is unique and the indoor bar is welcoming and comfortable. My significant other and I enjoy both dining in or getting takeout and going to eat down by the Canal. I try to get to Captain's at least twice a month!!

We loved sitting on the back patio for dinner. The food was great, table had baked seafood, lobster roll and Greek salad with white fish added. Toddler had a hot dog. Everything was very tasty. Nice crusty bread to start. Nice find!!

Super impressed with this adorable restaurant. Lobster was amazing and the sides were just as good. Staff was awesome. Hamburger was fantastic. Highly recommend

My wife & I celebrate our anniversary by dining here. It's cozy casual, with excellent food & service. Prices are on par with other restaurants in the area, they don't take reservations, so dine early during the peak season.

We usually go to captains during the winter, but this was a special occasion, our 53 anniversary. We ordered the lobster rolls, I asked for the wonderful lobster stew instead of the bisque. No hesitation on the waitress part. Love the stew. Finished the meal with the double chocolate cake which was awesome. Wish I could remember the waitress’ name. Will return next month for the lobster Diablo.

Stopped in for dinner tonight. Service was great and personable! They did a great job accomodating for food allergies. Lamb gyro was delicious, best tatziki sauce, lamb had tasty grill marks too.

Extra thanks to our server, I dropped something valuable and she tracked me down to return. Very kind and very much appreciated!

Both my husband and I enjoyed our meal and date night . The food was tasty and the menu has a variety of options for everyone . Hubby had Italian pasta with chicken; I had a Thai scallop appetizer and dessert. They have many alcoholic and non alcoholic choices . The wait staff was exceptionally polite , attentive and checked up and offered everything and more . Honestly , we eat out and they are far better than most and felt they must be family . Thank you . The atmosphere was comfortable and we heard customers who frequent say how they enjoy being there . We liked the lighting, bright yellow walls and fresh flowers . We truly will go back and even thinking of changing our weekly date night to here . This visit really was well received and much needed after a hard week commuting. 👍🏻

The food was delicious. Restaurant atmosphere was comfortable and friendly. Paige was our waitress and was fantastic.
I had the Swordfish Caesar salad and it was delicious. We were a party of 4. One member of the group had Swordfish wrap, another had Swordfish Mediterranean, and the last person had The Red . Every meal was delicious and devoured.
I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

We always have a good meal. Love the greek specials and the seafood variety and value is great. Friendly helpful servers casual and comfortable venue. Frequently bring our guests there and never have had a bad experience.
