Great place, great food with amazing service. From the menu I had the cornmeal crusted day boat cod from the harbor section. It was so goooood and tasted so fresh. Everything was amazing and will definitely be coming back!

The best seafood platter my husband and I have ever had. This came recommended to us and we are so glad we went. The fried fish platter was enough to serve us both, and it came out so quickly because “they literally just have to throw it in to fry.” All of the fish was flaky, soft, and perfectly cooked. The batter was a great ratio, not too greasy, and perfectly golden crisp. Even the onion rings were top notch - the kind you can bite without the entire piece of onion coming out at once. My husband, who doesn’t normally like coleslaw, loved theirs. Even the tartar sauce and cocktail sauce were great.

Our waitress was also a sweetheart and even checked with us before the kitchen closed.

I haven’t been to this restaurant in quite a few years and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the quality of the food and service has maintained. I had a wonderful dinner with a very friendly and knowledgeable waiter named Anton, who recommended several dishes and drinks, all of which lived up to his recommendations. They made an off menu salad for me, which was a Caesar salad topped with fried clams and it was fantastic, and came with a very healthy portion of clams. I can’t wait to go back.

DELICIOUS 🤤 We really had a wonderful meal with a phenomenal server. The view was wonderful and overall I would go back and have more meals there. I have food sensitivities and allergies but I know what I can eat. In conversation with our server I told her about it only because I hadn't eaten there before. She took it very seriously. I like when places do that so that I don't have cross-contamination issues. She also let me know that she had a degree in food nutrition so I felt comfortable she was diligent.

As you can see from the photos the food look wonderful and it tasted even better. Don't hesitate go and enjoy some good food there. Yummy!

I personally enjoyed every second at the Black Cat Tavern. They have 2 outdoor sitting areas and outdoor bar and a 2 air-conditioned rooms with indoor bar area . That place is huge !
Drinks was amazing - personal favorite is spicy Blueberrie margarita.
Food was delicious. Everything that we ordered tasted amazing.
Portions are big.
Staff was friendly.
Great experience!

Really enjoyed our dinner here. We visited in late October, off season, but still beautiful. The atmosphere and employees at Black Cat were wonderful. Loved the lobster roll. Would highly recommend visiting here!

Awesome Crab Cake, Fried Cod Sandwich, drinks, and dessert. The service was great.

Highly recommend the swordfish. 10/10 and I have a high standard for food. Thank you to staff and chef. Will return next week.

Service was phenomenal. Our waitress was the best. There when we needed her and never overstayed her welcome. Efficient and friendly. Helpful. Everything needed. Handled some challenging people in our party so well. Food recommendations were welcome and well done. Great location and food.

We opened the season with an early lunch. Fabulous fresh food and wonderful bar service

In the summer they have a lively outdoor scene. On a stormy night in the winter the inside bar is our refuge of choice. The food is very well prepared. We had some excellent Barnstable oysters today. The lobster bisque is divine. The seafood is very fresh.

Stopped by for a late season early dinner and martini. Friendly crowd . Great service.

We were heading to be beach and the festival today. Luckily found parking across the street. Clam chowder was tasty and smooth. Not too thick, just right. Got the seafood platter and whole bellied clams to shared. The portion was big and the tiny fries were fried perfectly crunchy and not oily at all. The shrimps were fried just right, super juicy inside and crunchy outside. Same the scallops and the clams.

a little pricey but that's the time nowaday. All the prices went up. Definitely would recommend this place.

Amazing place with ship like inner decorations. Bread and butter is always cool, and the food was delicious. Came here with a group of friends for dinner when visiting, would recommend stopping by!

Just got off the ferry from a fantastic day over in Nantucket. Wanted to stop by here for dinner and decided no better time than now. On a Friday night at 8 o’clock we were sat right away inside. We were quickly greeted by Linda who took our drink order. We ordered our entrée and had a couple of cups of clam chowder prior to our entrée which was fantastic. The entrées were delivered. They were all hot and very tasty. Large portions also for each one of us. Service was friendly and staff very attentive. Nice atmosphere, even live music in the bar. we had a good time. I would recommend eating there if you’re in the area.

The food is good, fresh fish and large selection of dishes. I had their scallop special and tried other dishes like lobster roll, fired calamari, and blackened sword fish. It’s located in a nice place, right by the small port. It can get crowded during the summer and they don’t take reservations. The staff seemed very nice and attentive.

The baked seafood casserole was outstanding. The freshest seafood and perfect blend of flavors with a side of Newburg sauce which was fabulous. Our wonderful waitress, Olesya K., offered mashed potatoes as an option and they were amazing just as she was. The atmosphere was cozy and lovely. We left feeling satisfied with our meals and knowing we would be back! A++.

My wife and I were visiting Hyannis for the weekend and this restaurant was walking distance from our hotel. The staff was very friendly.. I had the seafood scampi it was delicious generous portions of lobster shrimp scallops and clams. My wife had the tuna poke bowl couldn’t finish it again generous portions of tuna! The chowder was phenomenal I highly recommend trying it! The martini’s were amazing and strong!!! I definitely would recommend trying this place you won’t be disappointed!!

The food was excellent, great service even spoke with the owner who was very friendly and explained to us about the restaurant. The only thing I didn't like was my friend and I couldn't get seperate checks.

First time here, and really enjoyed this place! Servers were all very friendly and accommodating. The must have is their award winning clam chowder, which is now one of my favorites. The fried seafood platter is great too, especially the clams, and plenty to share with someone. Great find!!
