Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience

I would like to thank your employees Phillip and Josh both for a wonderful experience. My wife and I are bourbon fans and made a stop coming from NC back to WI. I struck up a conversation with Phillip over bourbon and some of the predicaments we were personally in. He was such a nice person to talk with and we ended up having a ton in common. We stopped by the distillery 3 times and on the last day, the gift shop was pretty slow. Phillip and Josh took us on quick show of one of the rick houses, you can tell they enjoyed sharing stories about bourbon and life, just as much as we did. We were even lucky enough to see a group doing their barrel pick.

Our previous experience with Heaven Hill was not so great. A year earlier we were there and there was a young male bartender who you could tell didn't want to be there, nor did he want to talk about any of the products. We had also ran into a not so friendly gift shop person so we had been apprehensive to even stop by this year. However, Phillip really made up for it.

I wish I would have gotten a photo with all of us because it was a great memory. Please let him know that Megan and Keith from Wisconsin really appreciated everything. He is an asset to your Heaven Hill family!!

Visiting Heaven Hill seemed to give a new definition of a Kentucky Hug. We were warmly greeted and felt very welcome. Allen was wonderful! He was giving information and offering free pours. We were fortunate to try and purchase the Evan Williams 1783 Hero Edition for less than $30. My husband and I participated in the You Do Bourbon experience which allowed us to taste 4 products and then for an additional fee we could bottle our favorite. Herb was fun and entertaining. We chose to bottle an Elijah Craig barrel proof. At the time of our visit, that bottle was $80. The gift shop is very nice offering home decor, clothing, signage, and bourbon novelties. This was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend a visit.

There's a good selection in the gift shop, lots of nice merch and some exclusive or hard to find bottles of whisky.

Upstairs there's another bar, outdoor deck, and at some point in the future a restaurant. Definitely hope to return at some point when the restaurant is open!

I can't say enough!! Desarea in the shop is amazing! The bartenders upstairs deserve a promotion and raise!! They are so awesome. I hated to see 5:00 come!! I could have stayed all night. They made a Kentucky Campfire drink I will NEVER forget. Had the toasted marshmallow "old fashion " before but nothing to compare. The whole team's customer service was on point, recommending drinks, to local restaurants. True hospitality. I can't wait to return!!!!

We did the warehouse tour and had a great time. We have been to over 20 distilleries and each tour we learn something new. Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable.

We had an excellent bourbon experience here! Bernadette was a lovely guide through our tasting and we thoroughly enjoyed the bourbons/whiskeys that we tasted. We also had excellent service at the bar and I was delighted to find that they have mocktails on the menu!

We didn't do a tour, but stopped at the gift shop and to grab a drink at the bar. The entire experience was great! We were welcomed as soon as we entered and enjoyed browsing and having a drink. Even if you don't have time for a tour, it's worth stopping in and checking out.

Loved our tour guide Joanne, she was an awesome fact/storyteller. The tasting experience was a great combination of different recipes and answered our questions thoroughly. Definitely recommend this tasting experience.

Nice bourbon experience. Not a distillery tour but nice museum, gift shop and bar. I did the You Do Bourbon tour and got to fill my own bottle of bourbon. Get there early for some limited releases.

My favorite bartender in all of Kentucky, Kayla has a French 75 on the menu which is made with Rittenhouse Rye is fire. I am a little biased. She used to come to family dinner night once a month while I lived in Kentucky. She has a great attitude, she's very professional, and she will make you smile.

I am glad that I booked this experience - You do Bottling one. Our host, Josh, was very good and made the experience great. He's definitely passionate about what he does. He really did make the experience a memorable one. I am glad that I had a chance to bottle my own Elijah Craig Barrel Proof bottle. This was a wonderful experience.

We visited Heaven Hill for the bottle your own bourbon tour. This included sampling a handful of bourbons straight from the barrel. Our host was wonderful at explaining the nuances of each brand. The gift shop is neat also, along with the small museum. Worth the stop for any bourbon lover.

They might be big and mighty but come hang out and you'll get a dose of local hospitality. Highly recommend a tour, do the best one you can. The knowledge you gain is immense and the rick houses, well, I could camp in. This is a must see. Only downside is the gift shop is a bit small compared to the huge product line. If you get there early enough you might catch a special bottle but it will be limited and you'll have to compete with all the early peeps lining up to catch a unicorn.

We had a great time at Heaven Hill today! We did the connosuir tasting tour and got lucky enough to purchase the vary rare Heaven Hill Small Batch 15yr. That was our favorite of 5 tastes too. I asked about if they ever sell that one and she was like NO! Lol. But after the tasting she let us know our group was the only group allowed to purchase the rare 15 yr Beast!!! So needless to say we had an amazing time.

Mega distillery making several brands of rye, bourbon, and blends. Several tours available that sre customized to your interest. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Absolutely incredible experience. We booked the bourbon tasting and bottling portion of the experience and it didn’t disappoint. Larceny has become my new favorite and I was pumped to bottle my own! I learned a lot and had a great time doing it.

I have had two tasting experiences and both were fantastic! I recommend going in the afternoon and enjoying some time at the bar where you can sit out on the upstairs patio. Good, historic location and full of great bottles!

Heaven Hill Bourbon is a really unique distillery to visit. The ground and location are fantastic, and staff was very friendly as well. During their tour process you're able to fill and label your own bottles which makes for a fun experience and a must do when you visit the area!

Highly recommend making this a stop during your tours!

This was our first stop on the Bourbon trail. I’m so glad we did! The experience starts with an immersive intro video, then on to the tasting room. They were well prepared, with our samples poured and had seated each party together (which we appreciated even more at future tasting rooms). Herb was the perfect mix of informative and hilarious. We truly enjoyed our stop at this place. No tours are available because their distillery is in Louisville, but we didn’t miss out on anything!

Did the Connoisseur Tasting and enjoyed it. There are several other tours to choose from and more are planned. Cool gift shop and historical exhibit area. Everyone there was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful.
