Banfield Pet Hospital

My pet has been going there since he was little . They are great! Brad checking you in is 😊 delightful. I never have to worry about my pet when he goes in. I know he's in great! hands❤

Banfield takes care of all my dogs and they are excellent. Always friendly and helpful, and they always call to checkup on my dogs after they've been in for a visit. They do all of the preventative care and annual dental cleanings as well, all for a monthly pet plan fee, which makes it all easy and affordable.

I brought my two kitties in for a teeth cleaning. The staff was incredible. Dr. Lucero took excellent care of my babies. She also checked in throughout the day.

Always a very friendly place! They always make sure that my dogs are well taken care of and make sure they are comfortable during their time there

Good nationwide vet, great for people who travel. Will accommodate Chewy prescription orders. We even got a personal call from the Dr. With a status update.

Brought Sadie Grace in for her hips. Got a couple of prescriptions and on our way. Staff was great. Dr easy to talk to. We set up Banfield because we travel and this hospital is all over. Won't have to keep up with records. Will accommodate Chewy's request for prescription info.

This is the best Banfield in Phoenix I've been to after about 5. I drive twenty minutes more because I feel like they are honest, kind and actually care. I don't always want to hear everything is great anymore, and one day we got rerouted over to this location- and finally I felt like someone really looked at my dog's blood tests and just told me to get better food, gave me options, because they care, I did right away. Dr. Lucero listened to a worry I had about my dog's hips, and we found out he indeed had hip displasia, most likely starting since he was a puppy, a torn ACL and etc. I am just very grateful to Dr Lucero. I wish banfield could offer more surgeries, but the care they have provided thus far for ALL three of my animals has been impeccable. One day even a fill-in Doctor called and was so happy to talk to me about my cat, her health, cuteness and also how he cut out a matte or two for me. Wow. I love the front desk techs/nurses - they are all so sweet and funny. Thank you so much for all your hard work!

Dr. Simmons is the best! Highly recommend her for French Bulldogs.

I have a tiny 4.5 pound chihuahua who is always horrified to go to the vet. They are so good to him. They carry him around and comfort him. They also do a wonderful job of being kond and patient with his anxious mama.

I love the staff here Breezy my 6 year old Collie does not. They are very caring and thorough. I liked that the Vet actually called me and explained everything to me about my girl. I also took advantage of their pet insurance. My first Collie Cato became very sick and it was very expensive. Now for what I’d pay to eat out my Breezy is covered. I recommend the Banfield practice and the insurance they offer.

I wanted to thank the whole staff and Doctor Simon's for helping my cat. DR. Simon's was loving , and companionate. I stayed with my cat Abigail for her last breath today. Had her since I was 12 years old. She lived beautifully till she was 18 years old. RIP Abigail and thank you all staff members today

I really like Dr. Pearson. He's compassionate and very friendly. He keeps you informed but isn't pushy about procedures he thinks your pet may need. He gives you the information you need to make your own decision. I trust him

I have been taking both of my dogs to this Banfield for almost two years and have been happy with the service. The staff at the desk is friendly and many of them recognize my dogs and know them by name as we come up to the desk. Whenever the dogs have an issue the Doctors listen and come up with a plan of action on treatment. I give them a lot of credit because so many of the symptoms can be similar to other things. I do feel they have been accurate with their treatment plans. I have recommended this place to a co-worker who recently got a puppy and also recommended Banfield to my parents for their dog.

Great experience for our dogs! Quick service. Staff personable and friendly. Our Vet even came out to speak with us about our dogs and gave that personal touch which is always appreciated.

Love that Banfield, some, not all, are back in Pets Mart. Its alil pricey, especially when ones on a fixed income. but i guess it worth it in the long run. Staff can be alil more friendlier, but thay are great staff! They are very informative!!!

My family and I are blessed to have 6 dogs in our lives and we care for them like they are our children. We have 4 Rottweilers and 2 Chihuahua Terrier mixes, all between ages 1 and 9. We used to live in Hawai’i where we had horrible vet care, but since we moved to Phoenix, we have had the best care from this Banfield location and we are so grateful for all their services.
This Banfield location has been our primary vet for all of our dogs for close to 4 years and I sincerely can't think of anything negative to say about the care we have received since day one. It is so hard for me to read the reviews below because I have not experienced nor seen anyone else experience anything remotely that bad from this location. All of our dogs are under Banfields Wellness Plan and we bring them in for every appointment and anything that may come up in between appointments for the Wellness Plan. We generally will bring our dogs in to see Dr. Lucero, but we have had appointments with Dr. Browning as well – they both are amazing veterinarians. I would say I personally bring in our dogs to the vet 9/10 times so I have a very good idea of how this location operates. Every time I come in, myself and the dog I have with me are greeted by name and welcomed with open arms. Bailey, Katie and Brad (as well as the other techs whose names have slipped my mind) are so positive and caring, they instantly make me feel welcomed, and make my dogs feel at ease. All the years we have been seen by this location I have never had any sort of wait time over 5 minutes to see my pets, even if I just called that morning for an urgent last minute appointment.
We have had appointments for a wide range of ailments; ear infections, kennel cough, lump removals, teeth cleanings, paw issues, arthritis, UTI infections…you name it, we probably have had the issue in one of our dogs. I have always had the best care for any issue we may have, and I can’t think of one time where we have had some sort of negative reaction to the care we received. Dr. Lucero is above and beyond any other veterinarian we have ever been too (we have had 4+ dogs in our home at all times for over 20 years) she has even gone out of her way to do her own research for ailments that any one of our dogs may have to insure we are getting the best care. This vet clinic is the only place I will take our dogs, and I would drive a hundred miles to bring our dogs here if I had too - I have had nothing but a positive experience from Banfield South Mountain. My family and I can’t thank this vet location enough, they have consistently given us outstanding care and we are so grateful for everything they have done. I would recommend this vet clinic to anyone who deeply cares for their pets.
I don’t think I have ever written a review for anything, but I felt compelled too after reading all the negative reviews about this location because this place deserves a far better review then what is portrayed. Update: I also wanted to add that we have recently had quite a few visits with Dr. Pearson and he too has given our dogs outstanding care. We have had a rough year between a couple of our dogs, one passing away while the other diagnosed with terminal cancer. Dr. Pearson and Dr. Lucero have been big roles throughout their recent treatment. These two have rushed bloodwork, made room in their schedules and even went as far as to call our family personally and give their condolences. We cant thank them enough.
