Our first visit today, Thursday, 28 December 23, was a real pleasure. The service was excellent! All staff were cheerful and pleasant. Food was all very good. Generous portions and well executed. Get the sampler appetizer!

So good, but be patient. They are under staffed and tell you walking in the door. But it's worth the wait. Great burgers, seasoned fries, and onion ring. Total dive bar environment, but that's always where the best food is!!! Go!!

First, we’re from out of town. I specifically wanted a local tavern with personality. As you pull into the parking lot it’s very bland and no frills. It was then I knew I was in the right place. My traveling companions had their doubts, but I knew the place would have personality. I hate places that don’t. I told them that if, when we walk in, at least four people don’t turn and stare at us, we’re leaving. We got five head turns, and I was home. I knew we were in the right place. These folks all appeared local and we were greeted by a friendly female bartender who asked, “How y’all doin’?” Yup. I knew it was a solid pick. First, I don’t want touristy places, second, locals are and should always be curious about who’s walking in because more times than not, it’s someone they know. Ample seating here. Pool tables. A poker game going on in the back room. Juke box! Need I say more? Ok, just a few words. Beer is served here, only beer (well, food too but no spirits). So if you’re looking for bourbon, you best bring it in your own flask, like the fella I saw carrying it in his back pocket. But seriously, I’m not sure if that’s kosher, so best ask first. Beer was cold, service was friendly, and quite casual. Don’t be afraid to go to the bar and order your second round if the waitress isn’t around. No frills and chill here. I bet the stage has some great music at night. Would love to come back.

Fresh, made to order home style food. Food and service is always on point. Also a few cold brews on tap. Pool tables available for your enjoyment as well. If you're in the area I would recommend giving them a try.

Our group of 10 ordered multiple appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and soups. Everything looked and tasted amazing. They also have some of the most delicious homemade cheesecake variations. The staff was quick and efficient through the entire lunch rush. Will definitely be back.

Kate and amanda, along with the staff is top shelf. Alittle spicy at times which gives it the family atmosphere. Food it great, the pool tables are good. But most of all it reminds me of the bar on Cheers. Everyone is family when ya walk through the doors.. come join us..

It was our first time trying Bluegrass Tavern and we will definitely be back. Locally owned with wonderful staff that were friendly and professional. Orders were taken and food served in a timely manner.
The menu was varied and prices were reasonable. There were seven in our group ranging from ages 2 to 67 and everyone enjoyed their food choices. The excellent flavor of the burger used in the enormous "Fry Way to Hell" burger is due in part to the meat being sourced from a local butcher. The catfish sandwich was delicious and the onion rings were some of the best we've tried!
Very down-home and family friendly and absolutely worth the 35 minute drive.

We were driving through and stopped on a whim for dinner. We were a little apprehensive but, the food was great, our waitress was incredibly nice and the mud pie was delicious and the portion was huge.

Hole in the wall places are typically the best places to grub. This 'hole in the wall' beats all of the others, hands down!! Great food, great service! We will be back...a bunch!

I had a grilled chicken sandwich with fresh tomato and lettuce and my husband had the 31 E burger, also dressed with seasoned fries. We both enjoyed our food very much. We'll definitely be going back.

Don't judge a book by its cover, this Restaurant is a Kentucky Gem. I pre-judged this restaurant as a tavern, so I expected a greasy spoon cuisine. As I walked in I saw the flashing lights of Mandelorean Pin Ball machine, this began to excite me. The women's bathroom had a picture of Sara from Labrynth and on the men's room Jareth. I walk in and people are playing with billiards, and it was family oriented and fun. There was a Juke Box and some dining area. But I decided to venture further and there was a perfect spot in a room painted like van Gogh Starry Night. There were two leather arm chairs and a table, it is an invisible table. The restaurant didn't put that table in, it just appeared in the restaurant one day. The staff was amazing, they were cordial and quick. An interesting thing if you wanted a burger, fries, and a beer; you have to order everything individually.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. THE FOOD My table ordered Cheese Sticks, which were amazing. The batter was delicious and crisp and the cheese is soft and not stringy. Super Delicious! I ordered a Patty Melt with seasoned fries. The seasoned fries, were very close to Rally's Fries. The Patty Melts was chessey and oniony on pan grilled rye bread. The meat was tender and seasoned deliciously, I ate the entire burger, which tells you it was amazing. My partner had an Oyster Po'boy, which was huge and stuffed generously with fried oysters. In fact there were two oysters who could not fit in the Sandwich, which was offered to me. The batter was crisp and the meat was tender and briney. And we decided to share the fries.

Another thing there Aolis were amazing, choose one of their sauces from the basil mayonnaise, Cajun mayonnaise, and garlic mayonnaise. They are treat on anything they make there. It may cost you $0.50 but it is worth it. Really a beautiful touch to a sandwich and fries

They have huge tables that are ideal for large games, I told someone that it would be a great place to run a D&D chronicles 😉 It would an amazing to have trivia or adult game night.

The one suggestion I would have, Knock Hockey and Fusebal. That is only, if they want to be this 45 year old, paradise on earth

Passing through on a bourbon tasting tour and found this amazing gem along 31. If you are close or not you should make it a point to stop here for a bite. Had the pulled pork sandwich, with bourbon baby carrots, green beans and sweet tea. All of it delivered max flavor and cooked perfectly and made fresh to order. Entertainment options pool tables and darts makes this a great spot to check out!
