I work with Pam Gibbons, the founder and Executive Director of Sew Right, Inc. and I find that the organization is a key resource for sewing training and classes and lessons. Their sewing training programs would be great for those looking for a career change into the interior design industry, or even the film industry and hope to learn the profession in a relaxed, guided way.

I took both the 101 class and followed up with Pam's upholstery class. Pam made it very approachable even though I had very little sewing experience. I was able to start making décor projects for my own home and also started my own business fabricating for clients. I also began sewing décor for an interior designer in Albuquerque. Needless to say this class was well worth it !!!

This is a really fun place to learn how to sew. The sewing projects are challenging and rewarding. Pam ( owner ) is very knowledgeable about the industry. Coming from out of state, it was great suprise having a place to learn how to upholster. I had a very positive experience here.

I recently took the Sewing 101 and Upholstery classes with Pam and really enjoyed them. Now I have the skills and confidence to decorate my whole house in my own custom designs. Great class atmosphere and very nice people.

Sew Right has given many opportunities to women in transition by teaching valuable sewing and fabrication skills to enable a way for them to create a viable financial support for their families.

Sew Right has completed all of its goals since being established as a NM nonprofit over 12 years ago & has decided to add a new program which will train for the flourishing film industry. Check out the current programs. Scholarships available!
