The rooms are super clean and spacious. The shower is absolutely amazing. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is housekeeping could come more often, but it was not a big deal. Would stay again happily.

While this is an older establishment, it is well kept. Rooms have been remodeled.. no coffee pot... my only concern... but there is a Dennys down the road. I forgot to mention outstanding customer service!!

I don’t leave a lot of reviews but this place deserves to high up the list and I wanted to share how pleasantly surprised I was. At $50 a night I was obviously hesitant but the reviews all sounded nice and came from legitimate accounts. The owners are very friendly and polite, the room was very clean and has been recently renovated. Yes it’s an older building and it shows in some places but it’s miles ahead of almost every days inn, super 8 or motel 6. You can tell that the owners take care of it and give it that personal touch when it comes to clean and comfort. Don’t take my word alone, read the rest of the reviews. If you’re passing through town this is the place to stay. Don’t give corporate hotels more money when you can support working individual business owners who take pride in personal hospitality.

There are several hotels in which to stay at this intersection outside Madisonville, Kentucky, but only one is clean, in good repair, and costs the least by far whereas the others are likely clean and and in good repair, offer a pool and a hotel lobby-style breakfast and COST THREE TIMES AS MUCH. Locally owned, and managed by a very sweet Indian couple, Big Spring Inn is very basic. I found it a very pleasant place to stay. Having avoided the big chain hotels across the highway I’m going to take my savings, fill my tank with gas, and have a real breakfast next door at Cracker Barrel before leaving town. If you need a pool, and enjoy cereal for breakfast, you might need one of the expensive places.

We had some concerns when we pulled up to the hotel, since it has a very run-down appearance. Being evening, we didn't want to try to move to a different hotel, and my whole group was glad we didn't!

The room was exceptionally clean, and our bed was comfortable. To our surprise, the floors through the whole room were heated! The plumbing worked well, and we had good water pressure for our showers. The parking lot was well-lit at night, plus they had numerous security cameras outside watching over their vehicles.

Staff was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend anyone else to stay here, as well.

Looking for a place to sleep before continuing our travels. Clean, very nice staff. The gentleman at the front let us look at the room. Comfortable bed, nice large room. good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Not overpriced. Would stay again

Great little place. Older building but has some renovations. The room was clean, the bed was clean, the bathroom was clean. What more do you need for a very affordable night of sleep. Room also had a mini fridge, desk and arm chair. If your bougie this probably isn't the place for you, it's not a Hilton.

I needed a quick place to stay for the night -- nothing fancy. The clerk was friendly. The room was clean and just what I needed for some sleep and to refresh. It's close to the interstate so there is noise; but that didn't bother me.

Very clean, especially appreciate that the floors were clean.
Bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. Excellent value for the low cost.
There is a fair amount of noise from the highway.

I have stayed here for 6 months while working as a travel nurse. The place is clean\affordable and seems to cater to traveling workers as I saw loads of construction and health Care staff come and go. I work nights and the owners were very accommodating, allowing early check ins and late check outs. If I'm ever in town I will be staying here again and I highly recommend that you do too.

We were here for the tornados providing power and had a wonderful stay. The rooms are very nice and newly renovated including new floors. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I can’t tell you enough how grateful our entire team was to have found this hotel. It was very affordable and just as nice as the surrounding hotels. Don’t waste your money on corporate hotels. This place is a hidden gem!!!!

Clean rooms nice employees but they come in our room at 7:30 am for house keeping like checkout isn't to 11 so that was very rude .

Here for our second week long stay for my husband's work. The first time we stayed bed wasnt super comfortable, but cant beat the price. This time we are in another room that seems to have a newer, more comfortable bed. No complaints! Rooms have been clean, AC is cold, super spacious as well. The couple who runs it are super great. Pet friendly for a super low rate ($10 a day). They give you a lower rate in person than booking online which was a pleasant surprise. Quiet surroundings which is a nice change of pace from other recent stays elsewhere. Definitely recommend this hotel!!

We were going to stay in Elizabethtown, KY (heading west), but all rooms were booked. We drove another hour and a half, and ended up at the Big Spring Inn in Madisonville, KY. We tend to stick to the chain hotels, because the quality is somewhat predictable. This was a risk. Boy, were we surprised. The rate was very affordable, and the room was impeccably clean and modern (we were on the lowest of two floors). There were wood floors, a nicely made bed, flat screen TV, microwave, refrigerator, and a decent shower head. The owners have obviously put money and work into this place. Speaking of the owners, they are a nice family with years in the business (we spoke at length at the front desk). While there was not a complimentary breakfast in the morning, Cracker Barrel and Denny's are within walking distance. Check it out. We'll be back.

Hands down, this is the best $55 room I've ever stayed in!! This place was more on par with $100 per night rooms, it was a very nice surprise in a world full of people who love to overcharge as many people as they can.

Had a great stay at this motel! The owners are very sweet, caring people and very knowledgeable. Very clean updated room- just as good as the hotels in town that cost $20 more per night.

The room rate was awesome and the owners were so sweet, even made us fresh coffee and hot water for my wife's tea. One of the cleanest hotels we've ever been in and dog friendly too.
