Absolute Thai Restaurant

Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior, this restaurant packs a punch. The drunken noodles were fantastic.⭐ 5 ⭐ I chose the vegetable option and they were delicious. Silky smooth noodles in a savory sauce with an excellent bite. Fresh, crisp vegetables in the dish as well. The menu gives a 2 🌶🌶 spice warning but it wasn't very hot.

Good sized portions, fills 1 American / 2 other nationalities. My party enjoyed their Pork pad Thai, Chicken Tom Kai Gai, and Flaming Beef as well.

Service was excellent, prompt staff, with modest wait times.

The atmosphere/decor won't win awards, but who cares, you're there for the food anyways, right? 😉

Hidden gem within DC that's not well-known but serves delicious and authentic Thai food with perfect portions and incredibly kind staff. The space is cozy with some great options.

Their Pad Thai has a little bit of a crispy flavor that other places are lacking and this was a highlight of the meal. Their Massaman Curry is full of flavor and their Eggplant Tofu was also delicious. Their fried banana and ice cream was not what I'm used to, as their fried bananas came in thin tubes, but the food still tasted good.

Only downside is that they have disposable chopsticks and cups for water.

Stumbled on this place because we were in the area. The basil fried rice was delicious, and as a vegan it seems there are definitely options because she said the Pad Thai doesn’t have fish sauce. Service was very attentive and friendly.

I recently dined at Absolute Thai Restaurant, and it was a delightful experience. The Thai cuisine was authentic and bursting with flavors. The service was efficient and courteous. I highly recommend trying their chicken wings and red curry. I will definitely be returning for more Thai culinary delights. 👌🍛🥢

The food here was excellent - wanted to try something new so started with the yum woonsen talay appetizer which was a cold seafood salad with cellophane noodles. It did not disappoint! I recommend that if you want to try a new appetizer. It’s not too heavy either so perfect to save your appetite. For my entree, I got the Massaman yellow curry with tofu and it was a good portion, comes with plenty of jasmine rice. My friend was raving about the salmon. The Thai tea and Thai coffee are also good here.

The service was quick, friendly, and helpful. I was surprised at how few people were there during lunchtime.

Vegetarian friendly Thai. Loved the food here. Definitely will be coming back for more Kao Soi. It was fantastic. We also ordered veg puffs & red curry which were very good. Service was amazing, we went just before they were closing but the wait staff did not rush us at all and waited patiently without hurrying us. A must visit in if you are in China town.

This was a big hit with our group! From soup to desert everything was yummy! We will be back again! Clean place and great atmosphere with phenomenal food choices of Thai dishes. Arm was our server and he was so great and attentive!

Service was great in this laid back relaxed atmosphere. Then the food was outstanding. Waitstaff recommended Roasted Duck with Red Curry. Was delicious. Multiple flavors throughout the meal. Will be back soon.

Thus was our first visit. Our server was quite attentive, checking on us and refilling water and tea often. We drink alot I guess! The food was delicious. Our group ordered drunken noodles, spicey fried chicken, fried rice and red panang curry chicken. Too bad we live in a different state...otherwise we would frequent this restaurant.

Walk off the street in DC and into a restaurant in Thailand. They had a great selection of delicious, authentic food. Especially loved the duck in sweet/hot red curry, and the Tom ka soup. Thanks Absolute Thai, Keep it spicy :)

Ka Prao - very tasty, spicy and a generous portion. Relaxed atmosphere and quick service. Reasonable prices.

I had just gotten into town and a friend of mine and I decided to look around and search for some Thai food. We found Absolute Thai conveniently located behind the Verizon Center. It was a busy Friday night for most of the restaurants on the 6th street. We luckily got a table at here before the whole dining room filled up. All three courses came out of the kitchen in an extremely timely manner. My highlight was the Chicken Pad Thai. My friend really enjoyed the fried tempura ice cream. He forced me to take a few bites because he was really loving it and said he would kick himself, if he ate the whole thing by himself. I have to say that was a great way to end the meal.
The Thai Smile Martinis were delicious! I would definitely recommend one of those if you want to try a signature martini. If not, then they have Shock Top, which gets no complaints here!

Found this nice Thai restaurant near Capital One arena. The food that we ordered are all really good and very reasonable price. I definitely go back to this place if I’m around the area again.

Everything we ordered was delicious!!! I was happy to find this place. We made dinner reservations but there was no problem getting a seat when we went here.

I know that Pad Thai is the white bread of the Thai food world but I love it and this place made some great Pad Thai, maybe the best I've ever had. They had a very extensive menu of other stuff that I just couldn't get myself to step out of my safety zone and try, although I'm sure it would all be fabulous.

Just take note that when you go to the bathroom here, that the sink is actually communal and outside of the bathroom. I went into the one bathroom that had a sink and was frustrated when there were no towels or soap. Well there are, just outside the bathroom door.

If I lived here, I'd definitely be back.

Just went here for the first time this week and it was terrific! Excellent amount of both heat and flavor. Red curry and drunken noodles we had were both delicious were the fresh garden roll appetizer. Our server was wonderful - excellent service and he was super nice and gave great suggestions for our dinner. Definitely going back!!

I would take a picture of my food but I finished it too quick!! Very very good and highly flavorful! I am impressed!!

Love the food, have to be careful with the spicy food if you’re not a fan and the mango dessert with rice awful, but the rest was really good.
