What a really cool place to see amazing reptiles from all over the world. Stay to see a venom extraction. The reptiles are well cared for and beautiful. The personnel are knowledgeable and eager to share information. Not a very big zoo, but they offer a lot.

This is an interesting little place to view some beautiful animals. The main pier pose of this facility is to provide venom for medical research so many of the animals are venomous snakes…. Of all varieties! They were so beautiful and interesting. It will take less than an hour to take in all of the displays but it is an interesting attraction. The 1pm venom milking is a must see aspect. On the day we were there they were doing King Cobras and the collectors are some brave souls! The staff did an excellent job moving the crowd in and out of there so everyone go a chance to see the collection process.

This is an awesome private zoo that features every venomous snake you can imagine. We watched the venom extraction when they were working with the rattlesnakes and the owner and the tour guide were both very helpful and informative. There is plenty of staff around to direct you to the next building and to answer questions. Its a very fun experience and I highly recommend it!

It's definitely what it is advertised as. A cute little zoo with a couple different sections. Can check it out within an hour. Great for killing time for sure. Probably a bit more fun for children than adults, but still a super informative and interesting experience. There were a wide variety of scaley creatures to observe and the "set your own pace" self guided tour was very comfortable.

My wife and I took my dad to the Kentucky Reptile Zoo for his birthday and Father's Day and we all had a great time. We enjoyed the talk given by a young man about turtles and tortoises as well. He even had an idea of what kind of turtles the Ninja Turtles are haha

The majority of the reptiles in display are snakes, but there are a few others as well. Touring the different buildings doesn't take very long, maybe 30-45 minutes. It was a nice side trip during a rainy day. The staff were all very friendly and nice to talk with.

Awesome place the visit, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Would be easy to spend all day there looking and reading about the variety of snakes and reptiles they have. Will for sure be visiting the Kentucky Reptile Zoo again!

My kids loved our visit, even though we went in December. We even got to watch them collect venom. When you pull up to the place, it don't look like much, but I recommend giving them a chance

This place was really great. Our 3 year old loved it. It is a small place, but worth the visit if you're in the area. They have 6 different reptile areas (turtles, alligators, snakes, lizards) and you can watch them milk some venomous snakes. They did a great job guiding everyone to different areas so each exhibit didn't get over crowded. The paths were gravel or well kept grass. They informed us they have a youtube channel you can check out as well. Thank you KY reptile zoo for a unique afternoon adventure.

This place is hilariously awesome. Our boys (3, 6, and 8) are typically obsessed with snakes and lizards. We drove past this place on our way to a hike and knew we wouldn’t get out of town without a visit. It seems a tad pricey at first but when you consider how many animals they have to maintain, it’s fair. The staff was great and very knowledgeable. We have a very good home zoo (Indianapolis) with a dedicated desert/snake building. The Kentucky Reptile Zoo is much better if you’re a snake fan. Bigger snakes, more of them, and enclosures you can view with much smaller crowds. Highly recommend for reptile fans!

Very cool place to visit. Lots of deadly snakes from around the world. They milk venom there for anti venom and lots of other medical uses. Truly informative and interesting.

I've wanted to visit this place for YEARS. We went around Thanksgiving so there wasn't a milking happening but the intern who gave us the tour was awesome and answered all our questions. The whole tour took maybe 30 minutes tops, but it was one of the best tours I've ever been on. Highly recommend!!!

When the kids say it was worth the 3 hour drive it must be awesome! Glad we took an umbrella, you are outside while watching the milking, and walking to the diffrent snake houses. The Gaboon Viper was the reason I planned the trip, everything else was a bonus. The guide we had was awesome, she was able to answer all the question myself and all the kids had.

My family had so much fun visiting the Kentucky Reptile Zoo. The snakes are beautiful! Jim and his crew are all knowledgeable about venom and the snakes and will answer any questions you may have. You can just tell when people are doing something that they love and for the good of all. A lot of the snakes were active which made seeing them that much cooler. My favorite was the king cobra as I have always wanted to see one in person. Getting to see one as big and majestic as Puppy was a surreal moment. The venom extractions were educational and really something incredible to see. We watched the Mozambique cobra and the black and white spitting cobras being extracted. My son(7) had a great time and never got bored. If you are interested in snakes and appreciate their beauty this is definitely a place to come visit. We can’t wait to go back.

Had a surprising amount of reptiles for a small place but it was a lot of fun. The people who work there were very informative.
