Firehouse Subs Pooler

I was surprised, I've never been to a Firehouse before and figured it would be another sandwich place like Subway or Jimmy John's. I was wrong it's so much better. When I got my sandwich it took that first bite and I was sold. This place is amazing, they were busy and it did take a little while but well worth it.

Best italian sandwich ever and the subs are huge. A little bit pricy than othen brands but they donate money to first responders so is worth it.

I’m going to assume this location is under new management! Everyone was smiling and energetic and eager to help! Vs the last few times I’ve gone, the employees seemed overwhelmed, understaffed and stressed. Glad to see it make a rebound!

I came here with my husband for lunch and absolutely loved it. I ordered the Hook and Ladder. My sandwich was warm and flavorful. Good portion sizes of meat and cheese, really soft bread. The staff here, very friendly. I will return again :-)

I love the Subs and people are very friendly. Those few days it was closed we had to go to the one in Rincon. It was also great. But I missed the one in pooler ga. We go every Tuesday. To eat lunch.

I ordered ahead and my sandwiches were ready and delicious.

Over the years - decrease in quality !!! Just hope it was a bad day. The worst Italian sub we had ever had

Kiera (Kyera) was the best! I tried using my app to order my food. As usual, the app wasn't working correctly. Kiera, tried to figure out what the problem was, but didn't, and told me she'd take care of things and made my sandwich anyways. Kiera should get a commendation for being proactive and getting the job done! I recommend this location! It's the best. We'll visit this location again.

Delicious food and quickly prepared in a clean environment. The staff are extremely friendly. Definitely worth a trip.

I came in late last night close to closing time after ordering IHOP online only to arrive and find it was closed due to staffing issues. I felt bad coming in less than a half hour before they closed, but since I'd already paid for dinner elsewhere and it was late I needed to find something to bring home for dinner quickly. The employees were super nice and accommodating, even though they were all cleaning and likely doing their closing tasks. They still had soup and Mac and cheese and it was all fresh. It was nice to get good, quick service and a good meal even though they were about to close. I really appreciate it and will be back. Plus, the brisket is ALWAYS delicious.

This is the best firehouse location I have ever been to! Every time I walk in they always welcome me! All the employees are super sweet! The girl manager is always so pleasant and helpful. These guys always get my food out to me super fast, and fresh! Thanks for doing a great job guys!

They never let me down! Great food and service was better here than most sub places I've visited!!

I'm a frequent visitor of this location, I come in 3 or 4 times a week, and I have noticed over the past several weeks how horrible the work conditions are becoming. The A/C still isn't functional after being broke for AT LEAST two weeks, on four of my visits it was 100° in the dining room or higher, which makes an excellent breeding ground for bacteria and viruses, such as covid19. The ice machine was broke multiple times during the last few visits resulting in flat, hot fountain drinks and one day I overheard one manager telling the main manager i usually see, that they had to ice down the food tables to keep the correct temperature because it wasn't cooling properly. But to top it all off, During this visit, I was ordering and witnessed a shelf fall and hit the main manager, the temperature was at 89° by the thermostat and waited almost 15 minutes and a young employee told me the wait time is outrageously ridiculous due to only 3 meat warmers working and I could see at least 4 of them stacked up on the table behind them and another unplugged. These issues need to be fixed to keep your customers and employees happy. These employees are working through it the best they can and tensions are starting to become visible from both customers and employees and I can't blame them. Employees are being berated by customers over issues they have no control over and its sad. Someone needs to do better. I will also be calling the health department about the heat conditions if it isn't fixed on my next visit. Your employees deserve better, I'm truly pleased to see them trying their best in times like this and with all the new faces I'm left wondering how many quit already over these issues. Someone needs to do better! However, please give some praise to the employees dealing with this, they are exceptional. My food and service is always delightful.

Edited to add: went in last night and the AC seemed to be fixed as well as some meat warmers as my wait time was significantly reduced and with more people in front of me than the last few times. Employees seemed in a much better mood and less sweaty which is a good thing when preparing food.

Outstanding and friendly service. The place was clean, bathrooms clean, dining area clean. The whole process from ordering to food being ready was quick and easy and of course the food was fresh and I might say quite yummy

Delicious sandwiches, my favorite place in the area to get subs. I switch between the Meatball Sub and Turkey Bacon Ranch. Food always comes out hot and fresh. The staff are quiet, but I like that more than I would a boisterous group.

I've always enjoyed dining at Firehouse Subs. You can always count on fresh, fast food and friendly service. Just like a well greased wheel, this location has once again proven itself to exceed customer expectations by providing attention to detail, fast and friendly service, and you can literally feel the warm atmosphere between the employees and customers. While waiting in line, there was a very minor error made by i'm assuming a new hire. However, a short young lady (I assume Assistant Manager) was right there ready, willing and able to assist her fellow team member. To find service like this, is worth the drive from anywhere! Keep up the fantastic work!

The wait time was fairly long BUT they were heavily understaffed. I watched a young black man and young white woman work their butts off and they handled the overflow of customers extremely well. They communicated to the room that they were understaffed, kept ppl updated, and remained very professional throughout the entire time I was there. Kudos to these two young ppl. This is how things should be ran in ANY establishment.

I gave it an excellent rating due to the fact that 99.9% of the time the subs are awesome but this one time 2 weeks ago ,I ordered 2 large meatball subs and 2 large New York Steamers. Got them back home and what we got was 2 large Meatball Subs and 2 large Engineers. Let's play Devil's Advocate and say I ordered the 2 Large Engineer subs. These subs were beneath what Subway would make if they wanted to be nasty to a customer. That being said I called the home office and they contacted which I'm guessing is a District Manager. He sent me an email in which he said show the email to the store and they would replace the subs. This is the only time I've ever had a problem with Firehouse Subs. For future reference,check your food before leaving.

Subs were full of ingredients and orders were perfect!

This is my favorite sub sandwich place. They steam the meat and warm the bread without making it too crispy. The staff are always pleasant and have never messed up an order of mine. I also think it's great that they give you the option to round up your total to the nearest dollar and donates all proceeds to firemen. Great food for a gray cause. Also the Pooler location is WAY better than the other Savannah locations in my opinion.
