Barnett Park

We love this park! Our dog enjoys walking here. Only complaint is its taken over by baseball games 5 months of the year.

Awesome trail, behind a neighborhood ,along water. Awesome to walk with your dog.

Great trail to walk the dogs along the creek. Just don't tell anyone about it, we wouldnt want it crowded. I've seen deer, rabbits, owls, and coyotes.

Occasionally in season you got some Atl Braves hopefuls (the dads not the kids) out there in the field with a bunch of cars parked all over the place with daddies yelling at their poor boys to "Do it right!", since they themselves never could.

It also seems to be a popular spot for gold panning in the creek. Supposedly the trenches as you get deeper in the woods toward Gold Mill are old mining spots. I see the same fellows back there over and over so maybe it's a good spot.

I will add if you have any warrants out, it's probably not the best place as I usually see CCSO and Cherokee County Marshalls sitting out here pretty often. Good use for covid masks. 🤓

A tree recently fell on the little walking path bridge. They chopped up the tree but not yet made repairs to the railing. It is still passable and hopefully they finish the repair. Hopefully, they do soon. As of Feb 2nd they still there.

I do a lot of prospecting for gold and the creek in Barnett Park is full of gold!!!!

Our family had so much fun here today! We have been here for almost 6 years and didn't know this beautiful little park was just around the corner with a creek for the kids and dog to splash in!

Nice local park for hiking, watch kids playing baseball, etc. Also has restrooms!

Public bathrooms are conveniently located for those working in the area...

Love these trails. Decent length with great scenery. Great for walking, running, biking and dogs.

In the woods, with well very nicely maintained ball fields. Concession stand and convenient restrooms. Playground for youngsters.

Have always loved this park. Doug friendly with lots of creek side area to explore
