Mokka and the Sunset Bar and Grill

Maybe my favorite local breakfast place. We have also have had the aster brunch, which is fantastic. The coffee is good and we have never had anything we didn’t like to eat. My kids enjoy coming as well. Have not been there at night, but breakfast and brunch are fantastic!

We absolutely love coming here! The food is amazing and the service is always wonderful. She even made my son a special chocolate milk because he wanted my spiked coffee. She always gives us something to keep him busy as well. This time she gave us playing cards. We LOVE Mokka!!

New Years day - our first visit, but wont be our last! Everyone had a great meal, made exactly as ordered. And the service was exceptional with the waitress being so attentive, even though the place filled up quickly! We will be back!

He has the biscuits n gravy, and he is a connoisseur of biscuits n gravy, response was awesome! I had the Lox. Everything went perfectly together. Smoked salmon capers cream cheese and more! And paired with a Bloody Mary! Yummy Oh and he liked the ceiling. Lol

This was our #1 Friday dinner spot for years and remains our favorite breakfast/brunch hangout. We’ve brought friends from out of town and they’ve left as fans. Service isn’t lightning quick, but considering the trouble they have finding help, very well done. Try a frittata or the goetta grilled cheese and you’ll leave a fan. The Reuben or spicy Italian are great for lunch.

So delicious!! The place was super clean, we were greeted immediately. I had the goetta grilled cheese.... It was so good, and not greasy. The waffle fries were seasoned and had a crisp. We also tried the trio pretzels for an appeitzer...equally delish!! We finished off with the Lemon Bar -MUST eat if you love lemon.... We will be back!!

This is THE best place for breakfast & brunch! Their famous Mokka French Toast is truly memorable. We moved out the NKY years ago and on our most recent trip back, we headed back!! Craving their French toast!! What made this occasion even better was we arrived 30 min before closing, was given a friendly greeting and served without issue! Of course we knew what we were going to order without even needing the menu.

Our first time there. Food and service was great. Would recommend. Will go back again.

We went here for lunch and the food was very good! I got the goetta grinder and it was delicious 😋
Also, try the salmon BLT. My daughter in law said it was very good. The service was great and the atmosphere was really cute. Give this place at try because it's worth it. They stay open until 2pm though.

Got the Mokka Sampler with white toast. Thought the biscuits and gravy had great flavor, did have to use my knife to cut a little. Got the French toast with no banana and it was fantastic the custard like sauce wasn’t too sweet definitely a lot lighter than syrup and butter. Eggs were cooked over medium like I ordered! Coffee was great! I’d definitely recommend it!

The food was freaking awsome best I've had in a long time the hot chocolate was amazing coulda been hot was warm but still amazing

If your in Newport KY Wednesday thru Sunday don’t forget to check out Mokka and the sunset bar & grill 9am till 2pm great breakfast food. Biscuits and gravy and they get a bacon & Geotta quesadilla.

Everyone in the queen city needs to try the grilled cheese goetta sandwich once before you die. It's perfect. Hopefully I lost you at "goetta."

Cute little breakfast place. It's cozy, calm and quaint. Wait staff are incredibly sweet and my glass is never empty. The Mokka French Toast is to die for! I come back for it any chance I can! It comes with créme brûlée and bananas. I sub the bananas for strawberries. The strawberries are like a glaze and topping, it is delightful! Highly recommend anyone stopping here for breakfast sometime. You won't be disappointed!

My favorite place for breakfast in Newport. It has outstanding service, unforgettable experience and off course the most delicious omelet!

Came here with my daughter for brunch on a Saturday. Got seated right away. Pleasant environment with lots of natural light. Lots of menu items both traditional and unique. Something for everyone. Will definitely be back to try some thing we didn’t have this time. Friendly and fast service. Reasonable priced.

The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. It's just a really chill place to hang out. That being said, the food isn't far behind. I had some really great chicken salad that I would come back and eat again. Our server was helpful with the menu and had tons of recommendations about the best choices. I had lunch but I'm excited to go back for breakfast food.

The server's here are great! Really love my food. Order the gravy train and I was worried because I forgot to ask for my geotta well done, but it came out really crispy, just the way I like it.

Great atmosphere and very unique food! The bison burger is excellent and so are all the menu options! I recommend the southwest egg rolls, any of their salads or sandwiches and they have unique alcoholic drinks, vintage drinks and coffee drinks. I highly recommend them!

We ate brunch at Mocha today. Everyone was pleasant. My husband has said numerous times how good his meal was. We'll be back
