The Shanty Beach Bar

We enjoyed the outdoor dining and the live music over the Labor Day weekend. Family oriented boat community, kid and pet friendly- clean bathrooms, great Rum buckets!!

What's not to like? It has a Bar on the Beach with a live Band and they sell Food. You can dance, you can swim or just sit and watch the festivities. Everybody is either in their swimsuits or very casually dressed. It's a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I will definitely go back and bring my Family. I ate the Rockfish Basket that came with yummy French Fries, and a Caesar Salad and a Soda. Everything was very affordable priced. There are canopies over picnic tables which are many, and the food and beverage areas, in case of rain.

Fantastic view of the bay with some of the most beautiful sunsets. There is ample parking but most all come via boat. They have a marina with travel lift, a restaurant and bar with live music. Check dates and times for band info. There is a large pavillion that would easily cover a very party. Wifi is available but good luck with it being somewhat scarce.

Enjoyed the afternoon at Shanty. Dirty bananas, soft pretzel, smoked brisket and blackened rockfish sandwich.

One of my absolute favorite locations on the Eastern Shore. There is nothing "fancy" about the location, which in my opinion provides it's appeal. Friendly staff, great basic food, drinks are competitively priced, live music, and those sunset views! 🌅

Best bands best party people best time without the resort costs can't get enough...

Love this place. We came to see Common Man. Loved the people, the views and the vibes. Great day. Food and drinks were good.

The food was amazing, crabby fries soo good ! Great band water fowl....very pleasant Atmosphere, it's like a boardwalk.
The food places are on the beach. They have a shanty Burger.

A well managed and very enjoyable place to visit. Love the music, love the fireworks and the atmosphere.

First time did not disappoint and will be back. Food was great and drinks were good - not terribly expensive. Setting was ideal. One of the better waterfront spots on the bay without question.

Cool spot. Dock and dine. Full service marina. Private swimming area. Live bands, drinks from 2 bars. Small food shack with nice selection.

We had a great time today. They had a band called the Chucks playing and they were awesome. They have great drinks and the food is good for bar food. The staff is great , very friendly and knowledgeable on making drinks right. This is my new favorite place to spend my Saturdays

The beach and drinks are what makes this place awesome. Sitting on the beach at a picnic table watching the kids play in the water is very special. Food was good enough, staff is nice, they have a pool if you pay for docking overnight I believe.

Great drinks, great music and nice atmosphere located right on the beach on the Chesapeake Bay. Food is a little pricey.

Bartenders are great! Orange crushes are good and Rob Fahey played there!

Absolute best place on the water to go! Dock staff are always accommodating and helpful. Great good and menu selection! Drinks are spot on with friendly bar staff. The best part about this place is they always have entertainment. I've came on a Saturday afternoon or even a Sunday and there is always a band! Great Job with the entertainment here. I wish they'd stay open later into October.

We can get to the Shanty by boat in less than 30 minutes. Today we took the time to drive and Maps App showed it would take 1hr55min.
The trip was worth the drive. Great management handling the strict CDC guidelines.
Very comfortable & safe feeling at both the food & bar service.
We had their Outstanding Crab Cakes and several drinks from their Well Staffed Bar.
Plenty of outdoor dining area on the beach & the deck. Great live Band 😍
It would be hard for us to improve our visit today unless the current restrictions are removed.
