Thank you Jack and Julie for this recommendation....so many wonderful menu items it was hard to decide. I went with the Monte Cristo Crepes and was very happy with my choice. Unique and delicious. Terrific lattes (and cappuccinos, too, according to my son and husband.).

Cute little place!

Fairly nice menu. Gluten free options, vegetarian options. Some delicious looking coffee.

Order your food first then go find a seat. I liked the selection of books and games to entertain yourself.

It wasn’t too busy - but before 10am on a Saturday, though when we went to leave later (10:30? 10:45?) it was pretty busy!

This is a cute cafe which blends old town St. Charles charm with a California vibe. They have a nice selection of specialty coffees. Our food was very good and the service was friendly. Prices were very reasonable. The nearby neighborhood is charming as well; some residents have chickens in their yards. The St. Charles waterfront on the Missouri River is a short walk away.

Been coming to this place for years, and there isn’t anything on the menu not worth bragging about. Todays fave is the Apple Pie Crepe’s with bacon in the side and to wash it down, a decaf honey lavender latte. The service is remarkable, and all staff are extremely friendly.

I've heard so many good things about this place and I finally got to try it today! It is amazing! What a cozy restaurant tucked in the center of Frenchtown with delicious breakfast and lunch! When entering the restaurant, the menu is posted in front of you and you place your order at the counter before you seat yourself. The restaurant is larger than I thought it was going to be with a back patio as a seating option as well. I ordered that Croque Monsieur and for a $2 up charge I added the egg (because I had to see what that was like!). It. Was. Amazing!!!!! Rich in flavor, I was only able to eat half and so now I have lunch for tomorrow! The side I chose was the house salad which came with field greens, sliced tomatoes, and a delicious ranch style dressing. It was all so good!! I cannot wait to come back to try more things! They also have a decent alcohol selection. Overall, I give it three thumbs up! I can see why they are winning awards for their food.

This was my first time here, and I was really impressed. Very friendly service and excellent food. I got the avocado toast, and my wife got the quiche. Both were excellent. The sourdough bread was really good, and I really liked the goat cheese/pickled onions on there! We shared a cinnamon roll, and each got an iced Americano. Everything was fantastic! The restaurant itself offers a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Overall, we had a very good experience and will most certainly be back!

Absolutely stellar breakfast and coffee spot! Pastry was flaky, yet soft and full of flavor. Very cute vibes and would love to come back!

La Belle Vie hosted 40 of our friends and family as we celebrated the lives of my late parents. We do not live in St. Louis, but Diana made the planning very easy, giving lots of suggestions, and designating touch points. The amount of thought and kindness that Diana, Melissa, and Mark (and team) put into it really made the event that much more perfect! Our guests were very impressed by the variety of food available, and the seating and lighting were truly perfect for the mood of the event - cozy with love. I didn't have to stress about much, because the team had us covered. Thank you for such a wonderful experience for an emotional event!!

Wonderful relaxed cafe in the quirky Frenchtown area. Lots of food and drink choices. Good coffee. A pretty good-sized indoor and outdoor dining area. Looks like they can also partion off part of the dining room for a more private event. You order at the counter, and then they bring the food and drinks to you.

I had delightful brunch experience here with my friends. Stuffs are super friendly, cozy place and most importantly very tasty foods. My french onion soup with side of chicken sandwich was best combination.

This is a hidden gem in French Towne on 2nd Street in Charles. Once introduced to this charming restaurant I have come back again and again. It was decorated for Christmas this visit. Nothing on the menu has ever disappointed me. I love the teas, soups, salads, and sandwiches. While many of the tables were filled with women laughing and enjoying each other's company, my husband has never objected to going there. There were many families, a couple playing a board game, others talking, and even a man by himself enjoying lunch. Today I had the Turkey sandwich, with a side salad, and Earl Grey tea. Give it a try!

La Belle Vie was wonderful. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Typically you stand in line to order but the owner saw our group and sent us to a table. He told us to enjoy each other’s company and someone would be right over to take our order. They were very busy too but someone was right over to take our order! The coffee and food were both amazing. I would highly recommend!

This is easily one of my favorite breakfast/brunch/lunch spots. The menu is simple yet has something for everyone. They do have a few seasonal food items that are switched out. They have coffee any way you like it (some syrups are homemade!). Wine is available as well. They have a lot of indoor seating as well as a nice patio out back.

I can't say enough good things about La Belle Vie. My daughter and I went for lunch one day, and I ended up coming back 3 more times in the same week. My go-to has been the $13 lunch with French Onion Soup and half a French Dip. (I call it the double french 😂) I am very picky with both of those and always at least try them when I go to a new place. Hands down, La Belle Vie has the BEST French Dip and French Onion Soup. I've also had the Lake Bake and that has become my new favorite breakfast food. If only you guys were open before work, I'd probably stop everyday. Do yourself a favor and try La Belle Vie if you are in the area. You will not regret it.

Side note: Only thing lacking is the drink options. I can't drink coffee with food. A fountain style option would be amazing!!

I've been wanting to come here after seeing good reviews for a while and I'm glad I finally had an opportunity. I'm an early bird so I Love that they open early. I had the Ham and Gruyere crepe and my husband had the Lake Bake and both were fantastic. We will definitely be back again.

La Belle Vie has become one of my favorite places in the past couple of years. No matter who I bring they always enjoy it and find something they love. You can't go wrong with any of their food or drinks, seriously! I love the fact that it's such a cozy spot and really a place you feel like you could spend hours in catching up with a friend. When the weather is warmer I like to sit out on their back patio too. A great place to work from, or spend hours catching up with loved ones. Try it out!

This was such a cute coffee shop! I loved that it had an at home type feeling. They had old school board games such as mancala, scrabble, chess, etc. The customer service was amazing as soon as we walked in the door. We felt so welcomed! No one was over bearing or making us feel like we needed to rush and order then leave. I loved all the coffee flavors and pastry pickings. Their menu had a nice selection and everything looked good so we had high hopes for what we picked. We chose an omelet and the lake bake and let me tell you all of it was AMAZING!!!!! The best thing was their sausage gravy that’s what kept us going back for more bites!

If you’re ever in French town be sure to stop by here!!!

This is one of the best cafes around. Service was attentive and friendly; the vibe and atmosphere are welcoming and comfortable.
I had the four cheese quiche, which was terrific, with a delicious toasted croissant and jam. And the cappuccino was one of the best I've had. Get there early to avoid long lines. Highly recommended for food and/or coffee; you won't be disappointed!

St Charles is the midway meeting place for me and my best friend... I have a feeling that after our experience today, this will become our meeting spot!
We enjoyed brunch, had a delicious cappuccino and a delightful espresso martini! 😋
The staff and service were top notch! 😍

Interesting location in Frenchtown just off of the Saint Charles Main Street.. The food was excellent we had vegetarian omelet with fluffy eggs, cook too perfection It has an excellent coffee bar bar and as we're tea drinkers I was surprised to find a very good selection of fresh teas to be made on the spot. The atmosphere is collectic , Comfortable but extremely stylish Lots of room in the main dining area as well as a back area that can be divided by a curtain for special events.. Outdoor seating for those beautiful days I highly recommend it breakfast and lunch is served open till 3 extremely friendly staff, just a wonderful experience in downtown Frenchtown
