Wooden Cask at the Levee

Nice bar inside Newport on the Levee. They have about 20 of their beers on tap and a couple frozen cocktails plus a wall of wine and spirits to choose from.

I went on Whiskey & Wine Wednesday and they have other great weekly specials.

Great little venue! Lots of options on tap, great bourbon selection and wine and food options too. We didn’t eat but the beer was solid. Great service - friendly and helpful.

Good beer, bourbon and bartenders. Well, I’m a little biased on the bartender part… because I work here part-time haha! I’m here a lot on Whiskey Wednesdays (where select 2oz pours are only $5), so stop in and see me! It’s a great place to stop before a movie at the AMC. I also love their garage doors that open to the rest of the Levee when it’s nice out!

My favorite beer is the Last Night is a Bit Hazy, a New England IPA. I also like the Desert First, Winter Ale and Pumpkin Ale — which are seasonal.

They have a really good selection of bourbon and other drinks, especially for a brewery.

Food items include things like pretzels and beer cheese, brisket/pork/chicken quesadillas, Cajun snack mix and more. It’s all done by Beards & Bellies BBQ. They have their own restaurant at the York Street location.

Speaking of that… please note!! There’s two locations, and they’re pretty close to each other. The other one is on York Street (also in Newport). That does seem to confuse a lot of people. The one on York is where they do the brewing. They also have a taproom and Beards & Bellies BBQ.

A great place to get a beer when you’re in the area! I love that the levee area is a Dora. In the past, we’ve taken a beer to go, out into the courtyard area. Today, we hung around the bar chatting. Delicious beer, excellent location.

Small place with a cozy, rustic feel. The beers are all house made and great with a hefty selection. They also have an impressive choice of spirits and a small menu of food.

The staff is what puts them above the rest though. Our bartender was knowledgeable both with the alcohol and geography as she gave us ideas on other activities since we were from out of state.

Another bonus (and a big one) is that they are family friendly. Inside the building and out.

Cool little spot that’s easy to miss if you aren’t paying attention. Great atmosphere with delicious snack items and quesadillas. Wide selection of beers and a few ciders to choose from. Check it out if you’re in the area!

What a great place! The ladies behind the bar were so accommodating and friendly! They helped us decide on what to drink and even gave us water for our dogs! Stop in and have a slushie and a flight while you're at the Levee!

Great experience having beers here before a movie! Definitely Coming back and checking out the main location less than half a mile away. They have something for everybody

Great place with some very tasty ales and IPAs. Not so much beer for the sake of being different. And I think a couple I did not try fit that category. But the old standbys I flighted were super. The BBQ slider with braised greens was good too. The Q was almost too sweet, but not quite 😅. Next visit to Newport, I will be here again.

We stumbled upon this gem and were so glad we did! The beer options were great, and they also had cider available which was a nice touch. The service was so friendly and attentive, and it was also great that you can carry your drinks around the shopping center! Made it very enjoyable. I highly recommend it.

We had a fabulous time last night. It's always one of my favorite bars to hit when down on the Levy. Just stopped in for a few drinks, and our bartender was great.

The drink was amazing and they Allowed you to have a small taste of the drink before you purchased it to make sure you liked what you were getting. Very very friendly and happy.

Spectacular beers and a great spot there in the levee.
The bartenders were very friendly and helpful.
The food was fast and hot.
Mostly pizza and quesadillas offered on the menu, but that is good for ensuring fast service for a fast turnover location.

Great tenders of bar! Elvis shot is 10/10, would drank again. Pickle shot is tasty, albeit a lil spicy. Would drink here again. Fun joint!

Last night is a bit hazy, NE IPA is great. Kentucky farmland might be the best weheat beer I've had. Cool spot

Such an exceptional selection! There is almost no style this brewery isn't doing. The scotch ale and bourbon barrel were excellent!

Tried the winter bourbon barrel. Tasty, but Newporter and Reformation are still my favorites.
