What a cute collection of Alice Moseley's art work! I had never heard of her until a friend and I dropped in here. Very cute stuff. Downstairs is a Mardi Gras museum with costumes and some local history. Upstairs is her artwork, mainly of this area. I can not recommend coming here highly enough. Employees are friendly and passionate. It was sheer joy stopping in here.

I wandered in here after visiting the 100 Men Hall across the tracks from here and I’m so glad I did. The Mardi Gras costumes on display are breath taking. Nice Blues exhibit also. Definitely worth the stop.

Never knew an art gallery could be so fun. I was so impressed not only with the art, but the artist aswell. She was such an influence to her students from the 50's-70's, but a huge inspiration to anyone can start to paint. She seemed to be such a bright witted person and you can seem some of her humor in her pictures. Free to enter and very reasonable pricing for reprints and magnets. The guide was very knowledgable and kind. Don't forget to feed the ducks.

Very nice folk art and glassware collection. There is a lady working there that was so helpful & informative. She really made the tour worthwhile. The artwork is simple but relatable. I would recommend it. Free to tour. Doesn't take too long since the museum is kinda small (around an hour to tour).

Ms. Moseley really had her own style, but it's so inclusive of everyone she encountered! Her paintings are joyous renditions of her life and experiences in Mississippi, and I adore them! Such a happy collection, and the antiques her son Tim has there are perfect period pieces that highlight what Ms. Moseley had to say in her artworks! Great place to visit and spend some time!

This was a gem to find. I stopped to see the Mardy Gras displays downstairs. I saw this and had to stop to see it. Loved her work, especially those paintings she used found objects in. The video was great. Was glad to set and watch. She was a wise women who clearly didn’t let life knock her down. I especially like Folk heaven
