Columbus AFB Pharmacy

My dad is 84 and I have to text his prescriptions because he doesn't know how. Is there not an easier way? Why not just fill the prescription and text the patient when it's done? I get my medication refilled automatically. Military always has to make things complicated.

This is sad for those (older retired) who depend on this pharmacy. Very difficult to get an open phone line to refill a prescription. It is being made next to impossible on retired Soldiers getting their meds. I asked about the patient portal MHS GENESIS. The clerk indicated it wasn’t any more efficient that they have to read them them one by one and urgency was not considered. This pharmacy and probably all military pharmacies are geared for the younger soldier. It is basically useless unless you can do the footwork of taking your refills to the medical facility and handing them the empty bottle. Very disappointing.

Absolutely ridiculous! The number is either busy or operator tells you all circuits are busy to try back later. So hard to get a person on the phone. And when trying to get medicine transferred to another base while out of town, you can forget it! Getting your medicine should not be to exhausting!
