T&W Restaurant and Oyster Bar

This was our first time eating here and it was excellent! The service, the people, and of course the food! Mr Morgan (Capt) was our server and was great! They shuck the oysters right in front of you. A great experience. I had the crab-encrusted flounder and my wife had the shrimp & grits. Both are highly recommended. Thanks T&W!

First time here for the oysters and they were so good! Will, our server, was awesome! He even gave us a sample of their famous she/crab soup that we missed on the menu. A must try! Everything was fantastic! Will definitely be coming back again.

Great place for oysters. Simple menu but the oysters is what it's about. Raw and Charbroiled Oysters were delicious. Also I had the She Crab Soup it was great. We had Kristie as our server all food including the 4 dozen oysters came out no complaints. We will be back

Susanna is the best shucker there is. Be sure to ask for her if you want fast friendly service. The AYCE was the best with huge snow crab clusters New River plump salty oysters and big steamed shrimp. Management was the best. Will definitely be back

The food and service was great! Amy was our server and was on top of everything. Definitely would recommend and come again!

The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. My fried shrimp came lightly breaded, just the way I like it, and my husband's shrimp and grits looked delicious (he did not offer to share). Our server, Krystie, was very pleasant and attentive. We will definitely be going back soon.

Pam was our server/shucker no doubt the best! Food great. We did steamed oysters crab legs and shrimp. Can’t decide what was the best, good selection of sides as well. One of my sons and grandsons make T & W a special treat. Very pleasant meal

Excellent service by Krystie. We had the all you can eat crab legs that cracked open better than any we had ever had. They were perfect in size and great flavor. Would definitely recommend!

A favorite place for locals for many years. Oysters are their specialty and you can get them in a variety of ways...raw, steamed, or broiled. They will shuck them for you no matter how you get them. They also have all kinds of seafood,mostly fried, but you can also get broiled or blackened if you desire. The staff is friendly and service is always good.
12/2023 update. We love the new exterior paint job. We ate there the other night as a group of 5 and Krystie was our server. She was great and she was on top of everything for the entire time we were there.

A great first visit to the restaurant. Kristi, our server was so nice and friendly, even brought me a sample of the She crab soup after I'd ordered the clam chowder, which was wonderful It was just right not too salty or spicy. The hush puppies were so flavorful, best I've had in a while. Also had yummy crab cake, unlike other places, this had more crab than filling. So good.

Suzanna was awesome! Great customer service. Took great care of us! Our food was delicious. Steamed oysters, fried shrimp, flounder, and oysters were all so great. Can’t wait to return.

Wow. Good food at a reasonable price. We came in on a Sunday so it was a bit slow, but the wait staff (Krystie) was snappy and attentive. Portions are generous and the fried fare was cooked just right- golden, slightly crispy for the flounder and shrimp and firm not rubbery for the oysters.

My family and I recently had dinner at T & W’s. The food was excellent and the service was even better. Our server was Pamela. In our group were my three grandchildren ages 7, 5 and 3. Dining with three small children is always an adventure. Pamela went out of her way to accommodate the special needs of my grandchildren especially the 3 year old. Thanks again to Pamela for her patience and excellent service. The adults in our group had fried shrimp which were excellent. We also had some raw oysters which were very tasty. The oysters were definitely fresh and were not tough and rubbery as is sometimes the case with raw oysters. We had a wonderful dining experience at T & W’s.

First time trying this place after driving by it for 3 years. Food and service (by Kristie) were excellent. The only complaint was the fries were too salty (and we like salt!) The atmosphere is just OK as it looks old and plain, including the odd entrance/exit doors.

Went there last night. Crab legs were GREAT. Easy to Crack and they were a great size. Steamed oysters were really good too. Kristie and Amy were our servers (had a large party). They both had great attitudes and kept condiments and the all you can eat oysters and crab legs coming. Thank you for good food and great service.

What a great place! It's a roomy space, with lots of local folks and a big menu. Our server, Kristina, was super-friendly and helpful, and the food was top-notch. My husband and I enjoyed char-grilled oysters for an appetizer--perfectly cooked--and we both got broiled scallops for our entree. So good. Plus the sides--Cheddar grits, fried okra, and cole slaw--were all delicious. I heartily recommend this place! Thanks to my friend Sarah for suggesting it!

Everything was delicious and our server Chris was very attentive. She is the only server in years that has made sure my husbands Tea was always filled. We never had to ask for anything, she was quick, friendly and had good suggestions. We will be back! Restaurant was clean, not too loud or too quiet, just right.

Had friends in from out of town and they wanted some seafood. We took them to T&W. The hostess was very welcoming. Our server Christine went over all the specials and gave us great suggestions for dinner and appetizers then took our drink order. The drinks took awhile, consider getting a bartender. Dinner was amazing and the service was everything we could have hoped for. Thank you we will be back for sure.

Wife and I went Saturday night and had the all you can eat steam shrimp. shrimp came nice and hot, well seasoned and tasted delicious. the shrimp was very large and not popcorn shrimp, hush puppies where great and cole slaw nice. our server Pam was exceptional, she stopped by often to check on us to make sure if we needed anything. she was very friendly with a wonderful smile. we will surely go back again.
