Apex Overland

I'm completely new to the world of Toyota, off roading, and subsequent vehicle modifications for the purpose. I contacted a couple of shops local to me for estimates on work after having provided a detailed summary of what would need to be done, only to end up ghosted. I'm not going to mention any names and rag on any of these local shops, but you know that cliché saying, "everything happens for a reason?" Well as fate would have it, I ran a Google search one weekend and came across Apex Overland. I initially thought they were located in Apex, NC (lol nope) but in reality they are about 2 1/2 hours from my location. I figured, "eh, what the heck?" and sent them an email. I had a response on the following Monday from Jillian and she was a breath of fresh air. Professional, informative, and not pushy. She laid out my options, I picked one, and bam. A date was set to perform the work!

I met both Josh and Jillian on my vehicle drop-off date, and they've got quite the establishment. My vehicle was ready when they said it would be and there is no question in my mind as to the pride and enjoyment they take in their work. Apex Overland is the real deal, folks. Take a look at their map hanging on the wall. They've had people in there from Canada and California. No one in their right mind would travel that far for subpar work!

Apex Overland will go above and beyond to take care of you. I reached out to them for help in servicing a roof top tent. Not only was their communication with me great, but they went out of their way to do all the coordination with the manufacturer. There was little I had to do besides show up! Their expertise with serving roof top tents showed, what would have been a weekend job for me only took them a few hours. They were kind enough to give me my car back to drive around so I wouldn’t have to wait while they did the work. Next cross-country trip, I’m gonna make sure to stop on through and give them more business. Thanks again!

Everything about this place screams quality and professionalism. I worked with Jill via email and phone for a few months. She answered about a thousand questions and walked me through numerous options ranging from budget build to a serious rig. I had to delay the build and push it out due to a family emergency and Jill was more than understanding and accommodating. She also did not try and push me to finish the build. I get there and meet Josh who's one of the nicest guys I've ever met and walks me through every step. I come back to pick it up and I'm blown away at the quality of work. They again walk me through everything and made me feel confident driving with the new upgrades. Pictures speak for themselves. These folks are top notch and I will not go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

One day I was browsing the Trail4Runner website and came across the Apex Overland Front Recovery Points. Josh and Jillian were extremely helpful in answering all my questions. Shipped fast and great price too! Would definitely buy from Apex Overland again!! Keep up the great work guys & gals!!!

Made the 2 Hour drive from Charlotte to their shop to have them install transmission, skid plate and catalytic converter guard. Install was very quick and precise. Overall great experience and will certainly use them for future projects, such as lift kit, air suspension and install new grill on 2023 Toyota Sequoia platinum.

Jillian and Josh were great to work with. We purchased a full suspension lift for our Sequoia after talking with Josh (great price too). We installed the suspension ourselves then had them install new tires and align everything. We spoke with Jillian a couple of times about scheduling and while pricing tires. Both were very personable, had a great knowledge of their products, and were easy to work with. We had a great end result. Would highly recommend using Apex overland!

Apex Overland knocked it out of the park helping make my 2021 4R TRD Off-Road a more capable vehicle. From start to finish Jillian was extremely helpful and fast to answer all my questions and book the install for exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be back in the future for more work!

Can’t beat the Toyota (and General Off-roading) knowledge of Apex Overland! I needed specific items that didn’t exist is a kit. Called in, discussed my needs, and their team was able to piece the exact components required in a package. Simple!

I bought Apex Overland recovery points. I am most definitely not a mechanic. There isn't a nut and bolt out there I can't cross-thread.

I had questions and called. I spoke with Jillian. She was extremely helpful and patient.

Great little off-road shop. The owners were friendly and answered all my questions about go fast campers. I would highly recommend them to anyone. If they're post sales service. Is anything like their pre-sale service? You can't go wrong.

The staff here is second to none, they make you feel like part of the family. Jillian’s knowledge is extensive and Josh is a skilled technician and fabricator. My go to for all 4WD needs.

I have had my 2003 4Runner since I was 16 years old. To say that this car has been apart of some core memories is an understatement. I was a position where I needed to maybe consider getting a new car or putting some new life back into mine. I found Apex Overland through a referral and I am soooooo happy I pulled the trigger on working with with.

APEX OVERLAND exceeded all of my expectations. My Tundra drives better than a brand new truck off the lot, and is more capable of handling all of life's obstacles than ever before. I was interested in having a leveling kit installed on my 3rd gen Tacoma, but I was a little nervous about doing so. I had heard a few rumors about a needle bearing issue that some people have with their tacomas after lifting. I visited Apex Overland, and talked with Jillian, telling her what my wants were, she explained everything too me, and told me a little about there mechanics, after doing so, I felt comfortable that this shop knew what they were doing. She gave me a quote on everything I needed, and also included replacing the needle bearing that I was concerned with. I had a very good experience with this shop. They even worked it out to pick up my truck from my work, performed the work, and then delivered it back to me. I have had no issues with their work.

Bought the recovery points for my 4Runner. Excellent service and product. Shipping was fast even though i ordered from Canada. And very good communication with Jillian.

Josh and Jill are the most patient and knowledgeable mechanics I've ever worked with. It took me 2 years to finally purchase my lift with them and not once were they pushy or rude because I hadn't purchased yet. I live 4 hours away and they are worth the drive! They are honest and stand by their work! You won't regret using this shop for any of your needs.

She is very knowledgeable and will help you make the right decisions. Josh and his crew are Master mechanics and are professional at building out your vehicle the correct way.
